Here's my pitch in, the Chinese Marksman RIfle, a semi unique weapon akin to This Machine, but with lower stats to balance a suppressor and scope mod.

Ever wondered why the Chinese Assault Rifle from Fallout 3 looked like an AK47? Because the Chinese have copied Russian designs and used them for their own army for decades.

I'd like to have the Widowmaker back, and a XL70E3.
I'd also like the classic Tesla armour from Fallout 1 & 2. Not a weapon, but still.

there where no Tesla armours in the classic fallout

The thing is, i'd doubt the chinese would still be using AK-47 type models by 2077. FO3 insisted they did but FO3 kind of over did the whole 50s persona. The chinese army today are equipped with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QBZ-95

That's not to dismiss the idea of an AK, i'd like to see them most definatly.

Well from a combat standpoint, I'd rather have something that I know will work after I go through the sandstorms of Hidden Valley, take a dip in Lake Mead, and sneak around in the snow of Jacobstown, and that would be an AK47/74 or a Dragunov. Even better would be both. The QBZ series doesn't look very Joe proof, meaning I couldn't bang that on a Humvee door frame while making a quick exit and expect it to be fine and dandy, or field strip it under pressure. The KISS rule definitely applies to guns, even virtual ones (from a design standpoint of course).

Oh.... Well it could just simply be found somewhere with no explanation as to why a Soviet designed gun is sitting around. I just thought the idea that the Chinese copied the design and their infiltrators left some of them behind (like the Chinese Assault Rifle).

I'm still an advocate that 40mm buckshot should have been in the Hand Loader perk ammo list. Turn that grenade rifle into one mean beast in CQB. Single shot, yes; but your opponent is definitely gonna feel it. I'd call it "the Beehive" or "the Hornet Nest."

Hey! We have a freaking satellite laser! Why can't I have this then! >_>

This is actually my post:

I'm in favour of a good old crossbow. That's pretty much really. Well that and a MP5SD. Love those to death.

However, just as a side note, I would really like, instead, is to have each of the one handed melee weapons to be throwable via a hotkey of some kind. It'll remove the need of finding throwing weapons and give melee somewhat of a dual purpose.

New energy weapon: Taser, similar in appearance to the plasma defender perhaps. Renders enemies unconcious via a high voltage electrical attack... Possibly allowing for pickpocketing without killing?

As for why I think the SKS would be an awesome addition:

It easily accepts modifications. Here are the before and after pics of an unmodified and then the modified SKS.

It's nothing really new though is it? We already have weapons almost exactly the same?

I'd just like it because the before and after changes are pretty drastic. I'd like a few more weapons where the mods help to actually distinguish the unmodded version from the heavily modded version of the same weapon.

Designed in 1944 - Soviet Union. So maybe something you find off a dead Chinese soldier? That is a really nice gun. But what would it shoot: 5.56 or .308?

I think of the existing calibers the 5.56 would be the closest fit for the SKS...308 would be way too powerful. In real life its chambered for 7.62x39...basically it is designed for medium range engagements and is fairly accurate with pretty low recoil, its fed from a 10 round fixed magazine that has to be loaded by stripper clips or one round at a time. Fun little rifles, here's a picture of mine, its the third one down:
