Weapon's

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 1:32 pm

i understand its an RPG set in a desert, but im sure the cops in vegas dont carry around old 6 shooters do they? i wouldnt no im not from america. okay no teliknesis gun but atleast a cossbow or bow and arrow, Legion is tribal after all. and the desert eagle :hubbahubba:

That is why there r 9s and 10s Dirty Harry carried a .44 mag worked for him. p90, Deagle, glock?? are real weapons or weapon making companies, there r no real firearms in fonv.

They stated the game with 50 trillion weapons, but you want more.
Ithink there are much bigger issues than what weapons we should have got

All this talk about more firearms one would think there was something worth shooting out there. I ll take something worth shooting over more guns to look at any day.

A Browning .50 would be nice with a high strength requirement (even with weapon handling perk) so you can make use of all your .50 hand loads that have stockpiled. And maybe something really big to shoot at. And bring back depleted uranium rounds. I know one of the older fallout titles had em I just can't remember which.

Step 1: Purchase PC
Step 2: Purchase FO:NV on PC
Step 3: Download Mart's Mutant Mod
Step 4: Enable Increased Increased Wasteland Spawns.
Step 5: Problem solved.

I suggested this to Josh before release. I say give it a ST requirement of 15 and make Power Armor +10 ST.

-gunny out.

A Gauss Rifle with iron sights that look almost like a M 14. 60 DMG 160 DPS

Since theres like differnt types of bullets and cells they should have differnt kinds of projectile colors and different color muzzle flashes or a hole new muzzle flash.

can we summit sketches or concept of our ideas here.

I fully support a Desert Eagle, it's been in every fallout game up until Fallout 3 and is quite a shame it hasn't been implemented yet.

Considering all the guns in this game are fictionally named I'd consider renaming the Desert Eagle to something else like "Mojave Auto Magnum" or just "Desert Magnum" or something like that.

There would be two routes I'd take performance wise, if insisting on .44 Magnum I'd make the DE 3-5 damage points higher than the Mysterious Magnum, 2-3 lbs heavier and a spread of .2 to make it more accurate than the MM. Also make the DE degrade faster than the MM. Then introduce the .44 Magnum JHP (Jacketed Hollow Point) and FMJ (Full Metal Jacket). Allow the .44 Magnum revolvers to fire all rounds, but allow the DE to only use the JHP and FMJ rounds to counter balance the weapon.

This way; while the DE is more powerful, more accurate and holds +2 rounds over the revolvers. It degrades quicker, is heavier, and requires the expensive rounds.

Or it could go the .50 caliber direction and use the 12.7 MM (which is .50) that is already in game. Make a 12.7MM Magnum round with a hollow point and an AP variation, also if the DE went this route it could just be entitled the 12.7 MM Magnum like the 12.7MM pistol. Make it around 45 -55 damage rating, somewhere between the Mysterious Magnum and the Hunting Revolver, and of course hold 7 rounds.

Also, give it some upgrades, some ideas:

*Scope
*Finger groove grips (reduces strength requirement by 1 point, or reduce "guns" skill requirement)
*10" barrel (increased range/accuracy, or increased damage)
*Upgraded rotating bolt assembly (Decrease degradation)
*Upgraded slide springs (Increased Rate of Fire)
*Extended magazine (Self explanatory)

The Hunting Rifle in game does not come pre-equipped with a scope, and, being inspired by rifles like the Remington 700, is basically the great grand nephew of the Springfield.

I still think more bolt actions would be cool as I do love those things( even know my gun knoledge consists of Cod and extends a little outwards), preferably WWII bolt actions or something more. I mean just the hunting rifle, wich isn't exacly my favorite weapon, just doesn't cut it.

Hmmmm...... a crossbow would be nice seeing that those one pictures showed a raider like enemy or tribal they could potentially have them equipped with them and what i would really like is some lever action rifles and double barrels from point lookout that would make my day plus the heavy auto shogun i posted earlier could fit as a weapon found in big mountain training facility in an armory-esque type deal for like completing the test that i presume will happen as it is in fact a training facility

1. A revolver thats capable of being silenced. The Nagant revolver would fit the game well.

2. A .22 revolver, 9 shots and make it a holdout weapon. Like this one: http://picturearchive.auctionarms.com/296820/7396760/fedcea0aae7b3dce5c1770c35a2bc0c8.jpg

3. An old top break revolver, H&R style.

4. An SKS rifle in stock configuration but let us modify it with a synthetic stock and extended magazine.

5. Mosin Nagant, don't tell me that millions of these sturdy rifles just disappeared after the war. :D

And where's my M72 Gauss Rifle!?

I've kind of become grateful that it isn't there; a weapon that fire's rounds just below the speed of light could never be done justice in Gamebryo, otherwise it would just be insanely over-powered, negating any DT and doing ridiculous damage, for example.

Exploding tips? Really?
C'mon, is it COD with you guys all day?

The only thing I agree with you there is Energy Weapons.

Actually exploding tips was in a N64 Turok game. Which is WAY before COD. Plus it's been in a numerous amounts of movies. Don't forget that most weapons have 3 different types of ammo. Like the sniper has Inc, Reg, and AP. Can you think of any other types of tips for arrows? Besides the CrossBow was only in Black Ops, which.. Lets be honest is one of the worst games ever.

idk about adding a lot of new real world weapons, im pretty happy with the brush gun. however i wouldnt mind a crossbow with bolts you could poison, the return of the chinesse assault rifle, and somebody on an early post mentioned a chinesse marksman carbine possibly a scoped silenced unique chinesse AR or a dragunov like rifle (yes china uses dragunovs)

there is a infiltrator in the game, the only problem is that it is behind bars where you can't get past.

The other problem is that it's not a weapon, it's only decoration.

Not many sugestions for melee weapons. So how about (dont freak out) a lightsaber-concept sword. I watched a T.V program not long ago explaining the science behind the technology on sci-fi movies, hosted by Dr. Michio Kaku and he said we could make "plasme torches" witch would be a tilt from witch a metal coil will extend and plasma wouls surround the coil or some [censored] . It would be able to cut through anything and at the rate of technical growth could be a reality in 2050 if i remember correctly (Im more than likely wrong) . It would run on nanobatteries. This is part 1 of a video explaning it.

Best thing is i can choose local search only so i dont have to deal with 10 year old american kids singing ad yapping away (no offence) , Just like-minded happy aussies who aint about the sh*t talking just the fun of playing and killing your friends.
Best get back on topic.
