weapons and their stats

i dont understand the weapon menu (xbox360) ..

i can change weapons and in thd bottom right side i have a box with the stats of the weapon .. so far so good ..

but for example i pick up the euston rifle, and i change the standard magazine to these mags which makes the reload faster (dont know the english word for it, got the german game) .. the reloadspeed will be better fot a little bit, but the whole accuracy turns red .. does that mean the accuracy with the new mag is 0?

it seems like the normal weapon, without changes, is better than the weapons which have been customized .. i dont understand that .. shouldnt the upgrades increase the damage of the weapon?

could someone explain me this weapon menu and what all these specifications and colours at the stats bar exactly mean?

When you equip the Duct Taped Magazine (which is the one to increase Reload Speed), 3 values change.

Accuracy decreases, but by such a tiny amount you can't see the grey bar to indicate the baseline level, reload speed increases, the yelloy bar showing how large an increase it is, and the equip speed decreases visibly. The equip speed (bottom stat) shows more clearly how the game indicates changes in stats - the red/orange part of the bar is the current level, and the grey part extending from it shows where the weapon's line WOULD go to is there were no attachments.

Compar the amount of increase to reload speed with the combined decrease in equip speed and accuracy, and there is an overall increase to the stats - although it depends which of those stats you consider more important, as to how valuable the upgrade really is.

ok thanks .. what is the effect of an lower equip speed ingame? is it how fast you can change to this weapon?

and another question: how important is stability ingame? what happens if its increased/decreased?

Yes, it's basically how fast switching to that weapon lets you fire it, as for spread, since the entire arsenal of this game is severely hampered by massive spread amounts, ANY reduction is ideal.

it is important to remember that the little bars mean virtually nothing. many things are inaccurate, some others blatantly wrong. most of it is misleading in some way. they don't represent the real values in any way.. has been like this in almost every shooter since cod4 that had this bars. they are more orientation to give the player a general sense of what does what. and even that is off some times.

duct taped magazine cuts the reload time in HALF on each weapon. it increases the spread by 1.1x. exept on the galactic. with the duct tape attachment, the galactic's spread IMPROVES, going from 1.92 to 1.76 and 1.8 to 1.65. if this is a bug or intended feature, i do not know.
speed sling halves raise/equip time. it does not have any negative impact, not on recoil or spread.

wow .. that svcks - and why is that like that? i mean its so simple - that bars could represent the real values so easily ..

i don't really get it either. perhaps because the true mechanics are more complicated then what you could put in a few easily comprehensible bars. or because for 95% of all gamers those aproximate values are enough. or the values of the bars are from an earlyer version of the game.

in the case of black ops i think it was done to hide the fact that some weapons (aug and famas, and the other group being commando, galil and ak47) were the exact same weapon only with different animation and gun model :D

Don't trust the bars EVER. If you're on PS3, a Foregrip or Muzzle Break will ALWAYS add stability and a Speed Sling will ALWAYS decrease stability, even if the bars sometimes tell you different... apparently they don't make a difference to stability for the most part on PC, but I'm sceptical. Extended & Duct-taped mags have around a -10% penalty to accuracy, and Drum mags or the AR Grenade Launcher have around a -20% penalty to accuracy each.
