[Modding] weapons animations

the one thing that really set me back in Fallout 3 was the lack of support for custom weapon animations. i managed to jury rig a few weapons in there but i did not feel that they fit well because the weapons hardly fit the default animations.

from what i have read, your animations are more suited for more "realistic" weapons, but at the same time, is there going to be better support for adding our own animations this time around?

I read a post where Josh Sawyer said that it takes about 35 animations just for shooting. I mean, it's possible but even new vegas resuses the same weapon animations from fallout 3. Really tough, I only think 1 modder has been able to make custom weapon animations.

They've also added way more weapons to this game than were in 3. You might be able to find a more appropriate animation this time around.

more than likely saiden, but he is kinda like the Gambryo animations master. i would not begin to know how he managed it, but the real problem was that there was no more room for additional animations. either you replaced defaults or you used them.
