Weapons or Armor you DON'T want to return...

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 5:07 am

What? Like, you mean you don't want that to ever be in Fallout 4 or you don't want it returning?

Yes, it would be nice to have new and unique gear based on the future tech. Humanity would not stagnate because the bombs fell and I would like to see innovative new weaponry.

There's concept art for Fallout 3 that showed they planned more post war created weapons, but they were cut for some reason... the cryolater for example, was one of these weapons.... so I think we'll see a few more post war weapons in Fallout 4

Armor I never want to see again ... Legion Recruit Armor, Legion Explorer Armor, Legion Prime Armor, Legion Veteran Armor, Legion Praetorian Armor, Legion Vexillarius Armor.

I'd rather have it revamped than removed, but recon armor was pretty useless.

Ah, but they did just that very thing with the Megaton quest; not with the car of course, but the PC leaves Megaton, walks several miles to Ten Penny's house, and blows up a town with a town killer nuke.

I amend my earlier statement. I would like to see one weapon not make a comeback: the alien blaster and its ilk. I really don't like the default appearance of most sci-fi weapons, but the retro Flash Gordon appearance of the alien blaster was grating to me. In addition, I really don't want aliens in Fallout 4. Took me a while to come to that conclusion, but I would be happy if that whole topic was left back at Mothership Zeta.

Yeah but that's not a player-used weapon that you aim and shoot halfway across the map, with the projectile being calculated the entire way, it's a scripted event.

chalk me up for nixing the tribal stuff. I never wanted to say anything because I feared the backlash from the um older fans.

It wouldn't be an issue; and it needn't be hand held. It would be easy to make it an interactive device ~even a terminal where you use the terminal to aim, and fire.

Granted I didn't play the originals, I despise all the tribal stuff in F3 and NV. However, I can stomach it in NV since there's proper backstory that makes some logical sense for going native. Zion natives mixing with tourists? Fine, I don't like it, but it works.

Also, anything Chinese that's plain ridiculous. The CW seemed like it had an entire Chinese Army stationed there with all the Chinese assault rifles laying around. The ghoul soldiers in the food factory acting like the bombs dropped last week are also ridiculous. It's been 200 years, and all they did was sit in there and do nothing.

I like the Shi in SF or the Chinese submarine in point lookout. It made more sense for those things to exist 200 years later.

^^^^

Bring back everything, and add more. If people don't want to use them, they don't have to.

Plus the F3 stealth Armour was stupidly fun to run around with like a pickpocketing grenade fiend.

BOOM!

Cant believe people dont like the talking armors. I wish i could add a personality to any armor, it is like the most advanced prototype tech in Fallout for individuals. It is like having Cortana in your helmet letting you know an enemy is coming around the corner and saving your [censored] when you take a few too many bullets. If nothing else i am gravely disappointed that there have only been 2 armors in as many games with no options to switch out various personalities

Well it's not like I hated them or anything. It is an interesting idea and did give them a try. Of the first two Halos I've played, I did like Cortana and she seemed a lot more helpful than the FO counterpart. I wouldn't mind if they had a less intrusive AI helper like her.

The old-style plasma guns. The plasma pistol was so blandly generic looking. And the plasma "rifle" looked like you were waving a giant commercial dough mixer blade about.

I'm of the same oppinion. Bring back everything and add more.

I had a blast with the F3 stealth armor, reverse pickpocketing a grenade into an opponent's inventory was hysterical.

The Stealth Armor in F3 partialy let you play out the old question "What would I do if I could be invisible whenever I wanted?". Lol, partialy.

Reinforced Leather Armor - it kinda looks brand new, even though been in a postapocalypstic setting. They should redesign it.

12mm Pistol - I loved how the SMG looked, but the pistol was ugly. Really ugly.

I don't really want to see anything removed. Things I don't like or hate using I ignore. I just want more of everything :)

Allowing clothing to get dirty and the facility for you to be able to wash it for example.

I would also love having clothing costumes in 4-5 seperate parts, available in lots of colours or with the facility to dye each part.

I can dream dammit!

Armors

Armored Vault Jumpsuit (unless they put a lot more armor on it)

Oasis clothing (not that they'd have reason to bring it back)

Merc Charmer aka http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/7/7b/Merc_charmer_outfit.png/revision/latest?cb=20150118005407.

Weapons

Auto-axes

Pool Cues

5.56mm pistols

Sonic Emitters

True enough. I must have missed it since I've never played a female char.

I would probably go with these. I can't think of anything else that I wasn't that keen on. The Roman look was a bit rubbish.

Recon armor was one of my favourite armors so I definitely want that to stay. I like the normal military style body armors.
