Weapons or Armor you DON'T want to return...

Recon Armor and the Rock-It Launcher. I liked the idea, but killing people with old teddy bears is freaking dumb.

I think I disagree with the people who don't like Kitchen Knives and Metal Armour.

Other than that, I heavily disliked the one Shotgun we got in Fallout 3, simply because I want a proper Pump-Action Shotgun and I ALWAYS pack a Shotgun after finding one. The Double Barreled Shotgun doesn't count due to it being broken and not counting damage properly.

I also dislike how, especially on consoles, explosives suffered due to the problems with the damage mechanics. Even the slightest crease in the wasteland could block a Missile shot's AoE and an enemy directly next to it would consequently take ZERO damage!

Hmmm... anything else...?

I'd like revamped Throwing Weapons, be they Spears or Knives. Being able to reclaim at least 90% of thrown weapons would help as well. Reduce their weight and increase their damage too.

Revamp Incinerators/Heavy Incinerators. They worked ok, but it's hard to tell if they ended up performing worse later on due to the broken Broken Steel enemies or if the weapons weren't calculating damage properly.

That's all I can currently think of. I was very discriminating with my Armour, so I didn't experiment much there. I do remember that suit that talked to you from OWB. That was pretty awful and very irritating.

If you invested a bit into explosives with a few perks, dynamite became pretty damn useful... I was killing deathclaws with 1-2 sticks of dynamite.

Ugly doesn't have to mean un-cool looking though.

I'm hoping even with armour and clothing that is considered ugly, that they still look good/cool within their setting.

Yep. Just because I think, for example, that the power armor is clunky looking and that I'd prefer to never use it, that doesn't mean I think it shouldn't be in the game. More options is a good thing, and not everyone wants the same thing.

Boring landscapes.....as for weapons or armor? I hope they keep the old school wooden weapons like the hunting rifle to a minimum I never cared for them. The more armor/clothes the merrier.

I didn't care for the Recon Armor either, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Rock-It-Launcher come back provided that this time it can actually fire rocks...

Uhh, really? These are exactly the sort of weapons that would be found in pre war bases and copied by gun makers in the wastes.

I LOVED the service rifles, and it was too bad the survivalists rifle made the game easy mode, because that was an awesome gun. Of course if we could select a firing mode, that would mean any assault rifle could fill that same role and be just as accurate. But they have their place in the setting, massed produced and cheap, there should be tons of them around.

I'm fond of those as well. I was fine with the R91 and CAR in F3. If that AR we saw in the demo is the only AR, Khajiit will not be happy!

I know this is sacrilege, but I'm actually not a fan of the T-51b Power Armor. It was designed for the low-res isometric games, and it just doesn't look right anymore.

I'd rather have a large variety of weapons and armor thank you very much. I just hope a lot of armors (recon armor and the like) have actual worthwhile stats on them. An armor that's just +5 to sneak is :meh: to me.

I like the T-51b, it's second only to advanced power armor in my book but I have to agree, it just doesn't look right in 3 and NV, I think it's mainly just beth's sub-par armor/character models.

I guess my only beef was with some of the melee weapons. Those that were thinly veiled "enchanted" weapons like the shiskabob, or the generals electric sword. Proton axes were on the border.... The arc welder was kinda weird also but the graphic display when you used it was pretty cool..

From what I've seen so far of it, I like the look of it in 4.

I think it's fairly generally accepted that Beth missed the mark on Power Armor in F3 and by extension NV. I never played the first few games, but I didn't think the Power Armor "felt" right. F4 looks to be a lot better in the Power Armor department. Hell, they made it a focus of attention with all the customization you can do to it!

This junk jet, pipe rifle or whatever that clearly 'wouldn't even start to work' stuff from the video before anything I can remember from older ones.

the switch blade because a letter opener is not an effective weapon same goes for the straight razor not interested in rping as Sweeney todd. as for armor whatever that one raider armor was that was just pants with spikes and some leather straps.

I was going to say Power Armor, too. I wouldn't want it taken out of the game completely though - if I even had the power to do so - as some players appear to like it.

Which is even more absurd when you make note we have purified water, Abraxo and Detergent just lying about all willy nilly.

I liked all the armor types in NV, it's just a certain perk made Medium Armor kind of laughable until you hit the top-end gear for Medium, and Heavy had only use for Explosive characters.

Also, how is Dynamite utter crap? If you ever done a pure explosive playthrough, you'd know that Dynamite was one of the most broken weapons in the entire game. Just one grab of the Demolitions Expert made it deadly to nearly everything the Mojave thrown at you, including Cazadors. Hell, one dynamite was enough to cripple a Deathclaw instantly and made it a pathetic joke. Maxed out, and it did over 100 damage, was extremely cheap, and you could have a large chunk of them at the start of the game. With Heave-Ho and Loose Cannon, you spammed the area with it. It was incredibly broken. Time Bomb on the other hand, needs a re-design. At least allow us to manipulate on how much time we can place on the bomb before dropping it.
