Weapons or Armor you DON'T want to return...

Couldn't you become addicted to the Med-X it gave you?

I did not see that edit.

Anyways, what I mean is that it seems to me that anyone who says "We will never agree" is not only telling the truth but won't even consider the other side's views.

And sure, it may work that way in Fallout 2, but this is not Fallout 2 nor Black Isle and the engine the newer games run on are not really capable of that. Perhaps that's how Bethesda would have liked it to act, perhaps it isn't. It's a fictional video game universe though, it can be used however Bethesda deems fit, realism be damned.

I don't recall getting addicted but it did use up your supplies of Med-X.

I would like to not have Power Armor. Never used it, never wanted to use it. Playing a walking tank doesn't appeal to me.

As far as weapons go ... BB guns.

Just because you never used it doesn't mean it needs to be removed. I mean it doesn't affect you any if it exists, you aren't required to wear it, so why request it removed? Other people do enjoy being a walking tank, why take away their fun?

And besides, it's a major part of the Fallout lore, it'd be weird not to have it.

So why did someone even make this thread? Should it be called "Post what weapons/armor you don't want to return ... unless someone else uses it and taking it away will make them cry."

By the time of the Great War those designs would be over 100 years old.

I'm playing counterpoint, I guess. A lot of the reasons for removing items seem to be "I don't personally use it so it should be removed" and I don't think that's a legitimate reason.

In all fairness if they could make an armor or weapon that was not [censored] annoying or pumping you full of addictive drugs as fast as you found them then fine they can put it in.

unfortunately. . . this being Fallout I would not be suprised if you did not find yourself addicted the instant you walked into the cell containing the armor and its already annoying the [censored] out of you before its even turned on.

I think he was referring to the fact they look like real life modern gun designs, rather then sharing the retro futuristic 1950s vibe everything else has

(Which btw why Im loving the current Fallout 4 gun designs, less copy paste real life guns, more original designs)

Yeah I got addicted quite a few times because of the suit. I liked idea the of talking armor but it got a bit annoying after a while hearing the same thing constantly and always being low on chems because of the auto injector using everything when I don't need them.

This is kinda funny to me since you can say the same about yourself when you switch gizmos name with yours and the old fallout's with 3.

remmus is the Anti-Gizmo and Gizmo is the Anti-remmus.

Oh. Contemporary, then. It's not actually far-fetched that they'd be there since the original design for the AR-15 family of rifles date back to the 50s.

Anything tribal needs to go immediately. I still don't understand how the human race suddenly defaulted to tribal settings just because a few bombs fell.

I never really like the metal armor either, mostly because it seems unreasonably impractical in the wasteland.

Not really as I can and will openly admit 3 was far from flawless, but it is still a Fallout game in my book, unlike Gizmo and his one track mind.

Still, its a parallel universe future of 2077, ya think they have something more original looking by then a copy paste AR

I like a variety of weapons and armor/clothing.... and with layered armor being a thing in Fallout 4, more outfits will be viable for those who want to wear them... Armored pre-war business suit? Armored tuxedo? Armored red dress with heels? Makes me excited just thinking about the possibilities, that shouldn't be limited to just what is good looking.

I kinda agree, actually.

But still, almost none of the Fallout assault weapons are actual original designs. Fallout 2, for example, had the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_FAL and Fallout 3's two assault rifles are the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_G3 and the (obviously) AK-47 AKA https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_56_assault_rifle. In fact it's sort of odd that the US apparently had as standard-issue a German-designed rifle instead of an American-designed rifle like the AR-15.

I would like to see more unique weapons based on post war tech. They would not all need to be energy based maybe a gun that shoots metal shards from the scrap you find.

Which if anything just proves even black Isle could make bad decisions about there own setting and in 3 Beth followed in there footsteps. Which again Im happy in 4 Beth seams to step away from just copy/pasting real life guns.

I find it odd you see the humor in a rolling pin, but not a Bear Trap fist or the X-2 Antenna?!

What? How does that somehow prove that Black Isle could make a bad decision? Not that I'm saying they never made bad choices but I don't see how using real guns was one.

Hmm.. I can't think of anything I don't want in the game. I was going to say the Fatman because it's stupidly over powered, but it's kind of fun sometimes. I actually think I've blown myself up with it more than use it effectively against enemies. Then I'd end up just blowing up cars with it. :)

Whatever weapons are in Fallout 4 can be changed into more powerful weapons, so I'm not sure at this point.

I 2nd what Styles said earlier in the thread, No More Talking Armors. :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer:

Also No .32 caliber Pistol unless it's more powerful.

No Marksman Carbine from New Vegas, looks too much like something you see out of COD and not Fallout.

No Skyrim Helmet Easter Egg.
