Weapons/Armour Displays

I know that everyone out there has a list of things that they would like to see in Skyrim. Based on all the the information provided it seems like they are making some great changes to the major components of the game but there is one minor thing that I would like to see added. A lot of the enjoyment from this series, for me anyways, is collecting interesting and cool weapons and armour (especially off people I killed). I usually keep a set of each plus any enchanted or named weapons. What I would like to see in Skyrim is a place to display them in my homes as opposed to being crammed into a chest or a closet. I put a few in the display cases provided but that still wasn't enough. It would be nice to have weapon and armour displays sort of like in assassins creed 2 and brotherhood but ones you could customize. For cheaper homes they can simply be the wooden armour dummies and wooden weapons racks you see in obivion. For the more expensive homes it would be nice to have full sized glass cases to display full armour sets in. It would be cool to have a large home/castle with a grand hall with armour cases running all down each side then the one main case at the end where you display your favorite set. In my skingrad home in obilvion i had the bookshelf on the second floor filled with all the different types of helmets....took some patience to get them lined up properly, lol, also took me for ever to get two axes and a shelid to balance on the fireplace mantle in the bedroom.

But anyways that is the one of the minor things I would like to see in Skryim.....also horse saddle bags would be nice so I could carry more loot....I always felt guilty having to knock out shadomere and stuff him full of equipment, lol.

I don't think it justifies the time it would take to make all of this happen. I'd much rather see more kinds of weapons/armor instead of useless stuff like this.

In Oblivion, once I got rich enough, I'd keep a bunch of weapons I'd got from defeated foes on one table in my anvil house, kept a bunch of helmets on a cupboard, some shields in the corner .
Worked well enough and had a much nicer/cozier look than display cases would.

Well the Mannequin and Display cases were easy to implement in Oblivion. Display cases were already there so it was just a matter of modding them in and mannequins were basically NPCs that you couldn't kill but could give them gear that they would automatically equip.

What amount of time are you talking about? shouldnt be too hard to develop or use. All you would have to do is click on the display (what ever type) just like you do with any chest/closet....drop in what ever you want to display or dress the armour display just like you would dress yourself and it displays it. Im no developer but that shouldnt be very difficult to do. Also whats the point of having more kinds of weapons and armour if you dont have anything to do with them. Once you are rich enough and high enough level you will only used and carry your best armour/weapons. Also Im not talking about every house haveing big clunky displays, the displays would fit the feel and size of the home.

Sounds like you found yourself a mod to make :foodndrink:
i made myself a bunch of my own weapon racks for oblivion, and im sure ill be doing the same thing in skyrim
i do like displaying my stuff to, but as a previous person said i'd rather have beth focus on different kinds of armor.
anyways its pretty easy to make a case or rack once u get the havok shapes worked out.
