Weapons: - Basic

I love the Iron & Steel weapons. Any other?

I was disappointed when there was only 1-2 variants. They are the best looking weapons bar none. Even the Iron and Steel Bows, I love the Iron Bow, look the best. I wish they were more powerful.

In Skyrim I hope there are more variants.

My Weapons:

1. Iron Bow w/ Steel Arrows (Poison)
2. Fine Steel Longsword w/ Shield
3. Fine Steel Dagger (Poison)

My faves for looks:

Dagger: Elven, by far.

Short sword: Elven, but fine steel and silver look good too.

Long sword: Here I'm with ya - fine steel.

Bow: Daadric. Simple, elegant, lethal.

My favorite weapon in either Morrowind or Oblivion is Oblivion's Iron Claymore. I love the way that weapon looks. I made a several copies of the Iron Claymore for my character to use, each with stats to match steel, silver, Dwarven, etc, so I could use it for an entire game without losing out on stats.

I am partial to all of the Elvish weapons. They have a crafted look and are extremely deadly. I do agree that the fine steel sword looks cool. It has that LOTR look to it.

Not so much the weapons, but certainly the armor.

Particularly Steel Armor on a male character. It is very unfortunate that it has such terrible stats. Not so much the armor protection but more the durability. At higher levels it breaks extremely fast.

The same thing for Leather and Fur. They just fit in with a Barbarian, or a Woodmans/Hunter etc. But they break way too fast. It just doesn't look right for a Outdoorsman/Outdoorswoman to be running around in Glass Armor.

As far as weapons go, I can't really say I like Iron or Steel weapons more than others. Silver is pretty good too. In fact I think all the weapons look good. Though mods like OOO create some even better looking weapons.

On my assassins/thieves I tend to wear leather armor for the entire game.

Luckily I try to avoid getting hit with those types of characters so it doesn't really matter what armor I'm wearing. :P

I don't know if it counts, but I also tend to take ebony armor and weapons even if daedric is available, the better look is worth the minor stat trade-off in that case.

Weapons: Elven
Armor: Ebony (strictly for the black plate w/ gold design)

It is unfortunate that the low level equipment breaks so easily though. steel does look very nice on male characters.

I've always loved the fine steel weapons, luckily the Sword of the Crusader looks pretty similar and is a lot more powerful.
