do weapons clean up now

Post » Tue Aug 13, 2013 11:59 am

or do still have to loot all the bodys and place the weapons on them ?

whats the fastest way to get through 10 days so things clean up sitting around and pressing the wait button for an hour is really really boring

On PC yes, on consoles no.

It's a serious issue on PS3 since that can increase the bloat. That's why I recommend all console users to do a clean up after every battle. Pick up all the weapons and store it into a body you killed. That body will be cleaned up, along with everything in it when the game starts collecting garbage. Dropping stuff into the world (when overencumbered) for example, also increases that bloat.

Why the hurry? If you pick up the stuff and place it in a body, then what's the big deal.

Items do not clean up , but the bodies will. It varies, I have had some bodies clean up after leaving and reentering the cell, while others hang around for a few days. I think it's set to a 3 day clean up of the bodies.

Weapons always clean up automatically for me. I play on xbox. Maybe I'm just lucky.

They shouldn't. I mean, if you drop an axe on the ground and come back a year later, it should still be there.

Most cells reset after 10 days. The script that is tied to some NPC is only 3.

There is a difference in cell reset and clean up.

Any weapons I drop stays forever but anything I kill seems to keep their weapon equiped. I press activate on the weapons and it opens the dead NPCs inventory even when the weapons are far away.

In that case, loot all the bodies of every conflict (in or outdoors) and store it into a single body.

I do this all the time and my PS3 runs pretty damn well.

Ahhh... you are correct. I think that is what was implemented with that cleanup script. As prior to that, the weapons dropped by fallen enemies remained after the bodies.

I still clean up out of sheer habit... lol

Theres no need for that mod, it was made obsolete by the Unofficial Patch.
