Off topic but this is the gun nut thread and I'm overjoyed about this so... I just bought a model 1878 short-barreled shot gun with external hammers it is just so so beautiful. And thinking about it would actually fit in New Vegas really well, do we have any confirmed side by side double barrels yet?
Never been "plinking" Only got my Glock 19c, it'll eat up some paper quite beautifully....
Your missing out man Plinking is fun as hell I usually go out and Plink with my Grandpa's http://hammerbackguns.com/images/Semi-Auto-22_Grade1.jpg or his http://operatorchan.org/k/arch/src/k71715_antique%20US%20Winchester%20Model%2063%20.22%20LR%20semi-auto%20ri.jpg.
Both are great firearms I'd recommend to anyone. :tops:

How about a gas BB pistol, modified (at your workbench of course) to have a barrel that accepts muzzle loaded darts with poison capsules. But that would involve 2 types of things, the propellent (gas cartridge) and the darts... so i dont know how thatd work, unless they just made the gas unlimited.
In my experience its the exact opposite, I have seen far more over and unders than side by sides
Same here, I find people prefer over and unders for their break opens because they're more accurate. Both barrels are lined up with the sights, whereas on a side by side they're offset a little to the left or right, and you have to adjust your aim.

Really cool, do you have any images of your weapon? I would like to see what kind of condition it is in.

Yes, you do have to aim your shotgun.
Very true I prefer the over-unders just because you have both of the barrels lined up on the sights. You always want to get as accurate as possible especially in the case of using a Shotgun, accuracy is the key. :tops:
Double-barrel side by sides are awesome. And the only place that I can think of that has more over-unders is trap/skeet/sporting clays.
I dunno, whether I'm shooting deer, birds, or clays, or maybe people, or super mutants, or clouds, or zeppelins, I think I'd rather have the more accurate weapon.
I'd only want a side by side for the mad max appeal, or maybe, just maybe, the http://www.lesjones.com/www/images/posts/1740-porch.jpg
I live in central texas and see maybe one over-under for every 10-20 side by sides a close friend of mine does have an awesome Benelli over-under with hand carved metal it's more art than weapon. I'll edit this post with pics giliant they'll be phone pics though so beware of awful resolution.
EDIT:http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/2137/awesometi.jpg You can't tell from the picture but it's in near perfect condition nothing wrong with it at all.

urk, most flimsy, toy looking shotgun ever, not even worth the combat in it′s name.
They should have just made that a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PPSh-41 the Combat Shotgun had its exact model and it would have been a lot more badass then that piece of crap they called a "Combat Shotgun" in Fallout 3, here's to hoping that the Fallout New Vegas dev team came to their senses and brought this WWII weapon to fruition. :tops:

I just meant that it was better than the sawn-off.

Someone said a while back that it was gonna be an SMG, but they needed another shotgun.

They could have kept the model and had it be a hi-cap smg.

The question then would be: In what caliber? We already have .22, 9mm, 10mm and 12.7mm SMGs. Those are the only calbers appropriate for SMG use that are known to be in the game. If it fills the role of high capacity SMG, then why just not add a high capacity mod for one of those? I don't have a problem with it's inclusion, I just don't see where it fits anymore. Josh seems to have worked hard to balance the weapons into tiers, but I don't see what role this would fill. It would just be functionally like one of the others, with some drawbacks to offset the additional ammo capacity, but with a different skin.
Also, Josh has read enough my posts on the 12.7mm SMG without correcting me that I feel it's a lock that the "cyberpuke sillyname SMG" is really the 12.7mm SMG. Call it 98% certain.
