Also, something that comes to mind is the Spencer Model 1860 Carbine which is the Owl Rifle in Red Dead Revolver, but that seems highly unlikely, and its not chambered in .45-70

It's fallout. If the developers want it to be chambered in 22mm backwards gumball, then damn right that's what it'll be. And i bet you could find it chambered in .45-70. Some gunsmith with some time on his hands...

Not related to finding the .45-70 Gov't weapon but I got a good look at the picture for the "This Machine" firearm and it appears to have the Vault Boy holding an M1 Garand, so my thoughts are its either a unique version of the M1 Garand or is just the M1 Garand style rifle itself. (Assuming that its not a common weapon and has actually been a unique firearm this whole time.) :tops:

We already know there is an M1 Garand style rifle in the game its appeared in quite a few videos, my only dilemma is figuring out whether "This Machine" is actually that rifle and its been a "unique" weapon this entire time or if "This Machine" is a "unique" version of that M1 Garand style weapon. Quite the pickle if you ask me. :tops:
