Just watched the Best Buy trailer and I squealed like a little girl through the whole thing.

Be proud Elvis, be very proud. :disguise:

did they fix the horrible static audio near the end, it makes me not want to re-watch it :(

They still don't have the Cattle Prod on that list. I guess because they can't decide if it is an energy or melee weapon.

Correct. Therefor, my guess is that the .223 pistol fires 5.56mm ammo in the game. Obviously not something you'd do in real life, but this is a game with gatling lasers. :gun:

Well, actually I think the reason it's called "that gun" (aside from everyone calling it "that gun from FO1/2") is because it is no longer a .223 pistol.

it is.

Thanks.
This video loads very slowly-- plays for a minute, loads for a minute kind of thing. I'm not sure if it is the site or my connection though.

I kind of want to avoid too many spoilers, especially about the map and the weird stuff you can find, because exploring was one of the best things about fo3.

What weapons are seen in this video?

I saw you guys talking about a unique m1 called The Machine. I hope it has a removable magazine, because that would make it pretty much an m1a/m14, and that is one of my favorite guns. My Dad has an m1 and I really want an m1a, but am too poor.

Melee. it had the pip-boy icon for Melee Weapons.

That's pretty much what Josh said. I'ts in 5.56mm and he didn't want to confuse anyone. He also said since it's the seminal gun of the series, "That Gun" was appropriate.
Thanks.

I wish I had written them down, maybe I'll do that later. I recall new weapons being Brush Gun, Mercy, That Gun, This Machine, .44 Magnum Revolver among others.

The Gobi Campaign Rifle looks awesome! I know where I'm heading at the beginning in the game.

The Gobi Campaign Rifle looks awesome! I know where I'm heading at the beginning in the game.

This is mostly old news now (sorry folks, but I fell asleep last night after watching the BB vid. See, even I'm human) but I figured I would keep to the format and update the newly confirmed stuff. This is what I gleaned:

.44 Magnum Revolver with mods Heavy Frame and Scope confirmed.
Boxing Tape confirmed (we know of this, but I don't think we'd seen the official name yet. Go figure they named boxing tape Boxing Tape.)
9mm SMG Light Bolt and Drum Mags mods confirmed
Hunting Shotgun Confirmed (looks like a standard pump shotty by the pip-boy icon. Could be a single shot. Maybe.)
Laser RCW is confrimed a new unique Laser Pistol
That Gun.
This Machine, a semi-auto (garand style) in .308. Most probably a unique due to it's naming format.
Mini gun mods high speed motor and frame damper.
Mercy, unique Grenade Machinegun, not in 25mm, but uses 40mm and can load incindiary grenades. Yay!
Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle - features extended mag, spiffy paint job and maintenance kit in the buttstock that reduces weapon wear.
Brush Gun in .45-70G, what appears to be a large frame lever-action. Can't tell by the name style if this is a unique or not. Josh usually uses the correct firearms terminoloby and if this were a base model I hthink he would have called it the Brush Rifle. Brush Gun sounds more like a proper name, ie: what they name uniques. We'll see.

-Gunny out.

Bet Taken. Unless the Bozar looks just like an M1 Garand all of the sudden. DAM and DPS were pretty high, but not high enough for fully-auto fire, the mag was only 8, which also points to non-fully auto weapons, there did not appear to be a scope. But I'll PM you with my address so you can send that 5 caps over right away.

I'm sticking with my guess that it is either a unique version of the M1 Garand or the M1 Garand that we've seen in videos has been this unique firearm ("This Machine") the entire time.

Also I really doubt its a Bozar as well, the picture for the Vault Boy is carrying an M1 Garand which in no way, shape, or form looks like a Bozar type weapon. (The Bozar looked just like a Barrett M82 except it shot full-auto and wasn't chambered in .50BMG) :tops:

Why don't they just bring back the "powered melee weapons" branch and stick the Ripper back in there where it belongs?

Edit: and the Cattle Prod.

Is the grenade machine gun the only weapon that fires 25MM nades? If not then i hope we get an explosive sniper rifle that uses them.

I believe the grenade launcher and or grenade rifle both fire 25mm grenades, or i could be wrong and they fire 40mm...

All american is no longer full auto, that was just in Van Buren- it was going to be a full auto DKS sniper rifle, now it's a Marksman Carbine.

As far as I know, of the three grenade lauchers, the Grenade Machinegun chambers 25mm and the Grenade Launcher and Grenade Rifle chamber 40mm. I'm not completely certain on the Grenade Rifle, though. The unique Grenade Machinegun "Mercy" chambers 40mm.

There is no such thing as a full-auto sniper rifle. That would be an oxymoron.

What's the difference between the grenade launcher and the grenade rifle?

And you could have a full auto sniper rifle, if you modded a semi auto rifle to fire in full auto, it would just be very difficult to actually snipe with.

It might work if say, it was a .22

It would make more speculative sense if a grenade "rifle" fired 25mm rounds instead of 40mm, considering that a rifle is generally more accurate and a 25 would be longer ranged.

It can kill a man just fine, and when you're firing a bunch at once with negligible recoil...
