Weapons you really wish to see in the game :)

I wanna go 300-style with my spear and my shield... Seems I most likely won't be able to. :(

2 handed weapons that′s bloody useful...oh and a bigger variety of swords...so I guess my vote is on Scimitar.

brass knuckles, claw weapons, and other hand to hand weapons. only if they brought the hand to hand skill back though (in other words it's not happening in Skyrim)

Option to THROW any weapon like a spear, and yes I also voted for spears, Throwing knives, old school grenades, kinda sounds like the flame shooting "runes" they've been talking about but a rune that explodes when an enemy walks over...weapons could also literally break when damaged enough, leaving you with a shard of a weapon that if you need to you can still whack enemies with.

also something I love to see is weapons within the same category having more varied stats, like say different attack speed

would also love to see more magic and/or enchantment that affects the weapon itself, not just being a medium for the same kind of spells your character casts.

It would be extremely hard to do that.

BUT, it wouldn't be very hard to simply apply fixed animations to a chain mace. There's lots of great physics animation programs that can make very realistic results.

Fixed animations? you'd need thousands. Just walking with your flail out, it should swing back, then if you stop it should swing forward, etc. Dynamic is the only way to go.

I would prefer different animations, in previous TES games, an axe is a sword which is a mace.
Like different animations for the Katana compared with a broad-sword, or different animations for daggers.

THE sword. You know, a sword you strive to get in the game, which none can compare to....

By "Chain-mace", I think you meant "Morning Star". Yes, it is one of my favorite weapons.

Just spears.

The spear is such a basic, logical weapon for people to have, especially in static defense locations.

I know, I know - it's not really exciting to use, the animation is too different, etc etc. oh well.

I would laugh so hard if there was a joke spear near the beginning of the game that was only for display, and could not be used.

no morning star is a type of mace that is rigidly affixed to the end of the mace but with lots of nasty spikes, what he is referring to is a flail, a favorite weapon of mine also

any form of broad sword and bows that are actually made from something realistic, like wood. (seriously a bow made from silver just shouldn't work).

Shotgun.

Those deadra/dragons/bandits/shop-keepers/beggars/priests/widows wont know what hit em!!

Literally.

Spears. No joke, I really do. What kind of a hunter you are without a spear, come on. And crossbows.

And hopefully no huge hammers like those on Morrowind and Oblivion, those were just unrealistic and silly. I was also really rooting for no dual wielding but I heard it's too late for that meh.
