More heavy weaponry would be nice. Maybe a heavy bolt action rifle or something. Maybe some throwback weapons like a take on a BAR or a Tommy Gun would be cool

A spear gun. It has the ability to pass through multiple people, but slow projectile speed and a single shot clip. Heavy of course.

Crossbow would be a good choice, since Resistance will make anything and Founders would have it for recreational purposes.

Jury-rigged Crossbow for Resistance, Compound Crossbow for Security. Same stats.

One shot, piercing, low ammo count, high damage but not Barnett power. Medium?


EDIT: Flamethrower would be fun.

Good details on the Crossbow!

Not sure about the rate of fire though prolly about the same with the barnet but with less recoil.

Flamethrower would be cool.

Heavy could go with a flamethrower, it fits the same idea as the rest of their weaponry.

Beyond that I'm not sure there's much more that could be done (aside from different weapons of the same types in game) outside of archaic weapons like a crossbow and I'm not sure how well that would work without being over or under powered.

I was also thinking flamethrowers, exclusively for Heavy types of course, seems like a great idea to me. I agree that Heavy probably needs more weapons. Tommy guns a good idea and a crossbow sounds cool, but I don't see how it would fit into the game honestly.

good point, essentially it would be a different graphical skin for the barnet. althought you could really only ad a speed slin and the different sights.

I'd say faster reload, low recoil (because it's still a crossbow) and moderate damage high stab and acc.

overall though it may just be another weapon.... More is always good though, i like variety

Also, I heard someone mention a double-barrel shotgun as possible DLC on another forum, forgot exactly what they said but they found a pretty good way to implement it in there. I think it was something like single shot for each barrel with low ammo. They said it would be available for lights so they could get two quick shots off, but I think it would be better with mediums personally. Also, I've heard talk of people wanting dual pistols like in the trailer. I think it would be cool, but I don't see it happening. Imagine two machine pistols, overpowered much? Plus, you already get the knife for melee while holding a pistol to make up for their weaker power. I just can't see it unless they take the knife out, which I also don't see happening.

I like the idea of a crossbow and a flamethrower...

I also think a tighter spread-ed shotgun would be nice, similar to a hunter's shotgun from Borderlands. Lower damage to compensate for more pellets hitting the target of course.
I'd love to see a nice lever action incorporated somehow, as perhaps a Thompson as well. (Always wanted to fire a fully auto tommy :P )

A new Shotgun would be good! A new AR would be nice too.

The other weapon selections are quite plentiful already to be honest.

its bad enough being OHK as a medium, that thing would OHK a heavy too? OHK on body for medium? snipers ahoy! :(

tommy gun is a cool weapon though, or even the mp40 :) the 2 classic weapons of ww2.

or, even on a totally way-out weapon. some form of net gun that fires nets to capture the enemy? or some form of glue-like gun that stops people moving. maybe lights would get totally stuck in it for x seconds, medium would be well slowed down or heavy little difference?

bow and arrow would be cool, like rambo. totally silent.

a machete/katana samurai sword - not on melee button but a selectable weapon, very fast 2nd weapon switching (near instant)

Adding more effective melee attacks than the current ones would be OP, and even moreso if you made them available to Lights.

MAYBE a Machete/Kodachi as a Light weapon - so a Light body would have to give up their primary weapon to take it - could work. Fire button does a lunging attack that does knife damage, and can knock down a target if you run into them during the lunge. Melee button does a fast slash that works like a regular knife attack. RoF same as normal melee attacks, but switching from the lunge to a normal melee attack would let you land a second hit a little faster.

I think something like a mine thrower would be a great weapon for heavies working in a similar way to the ez-nade, crossbow is a fantastic idea and light body types could definately use a shotgun of some form or other, maybe a lighter guage pump action shotgun that doesn't deliver quite as much damage.

mhm maybe a rocket launcher. id like to see a slow firing cal 50 mg or an mg which lets you use its bipod.
a bolt action rifle for heavies would be either useless ( when its just like the barnett but still a heavy weapon) or overpowered when it deals more damage than the barnett.
mhm sawn off shotguns and swords sound good.
something like a m1 garand would also be great.
i cant imagine how a flamethrower should work. should it knock you down (which would be op because you hava a continueing beam of fire) or set you on fire which would deal damage over time.

I wasn't thinking that, I was thinking more along the lines of the same power as the Barnett but maybe a bigger magazine/more ammo. Obviously it would be a bigger weapon so we would trade kick-back for reload speed or something.

thats why i said use a weapon slot.

imho no melee weapons in games should be OHKs, apart from maybe a stealth one, from behind. throat slit....

if people can kill you in 2 shots with a pistol then surely a melee sword would be fun. it shouldnt be auto aim either. it should slash where you are aiming. maybe even reload (since not used) to block other swords. i dunno, it was only an idea :) you could even behead if you get a sweet headshot from behind? kinda messes up medic though. and to be honest i hate how OP melee attacks are in some games.
