WeaponsHands Off Screen

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 3:20 am

I recently noticed that I can no longer see my weapons or my hands on screen when I ready my weapon. This is kind of annoying, does anyone know a fix? I have tried disabling the mods of have installed, but that didn't help to fix it. FOV is still set to 75.

Thanks

You can try regenerating your ini settings by renaming the file called Oblivion in your Saved Games folder to Backup, and then restarting your game. You may need to reset your screen resolution, but this can fix problems caused by using mods that alter points of view in game. If this does not work, You still have the Original settings You renamed to Backup.

This did not fix my problem, I still cannot see my hands or equipped weapons. If I turn the FOV up to 100 I can kind of see them...

Also, when I load my saved game my point of view is really low and then it pops up if I press a key.

If you install mods with OBMM you could convert the mod into an OMOD, install the OMOD, and then uninstall it. I dislike Deadly Reflex and many third person camera mods for this reason. I like to be able to use a bow, and the best method for aiming and killing with a bow in Oblivion is in first person. Disabling a mod by unchecking a box or deleting an esp still leaves a lot of items inside your Data Folder. Do not forget to remove the OBSE plugins, Use the readme files for removal instructions.

I do have Deadly Reflex installed as an omod, never really had a problem with first person before now. Bows still work for me in first person.

Version 5.0 never had a problem like this.

Have you installed any Pose Mods, or animations after you installed Deadly Reflex? People usually have problems with Deadly Reflex very quickly and remove it, or like it and swear by it. Remove the newer mods before You disable DR.

I don't think I installed any mods after DR 6.0.

Have you looked at the DR release thread in Oblivion Mods yet? I went through it yesterday because I have been answering a lot of posts in the Oblivion Mods Forum, I did not know that Drop Lit Torches OBSE was a requirement for DR6.
