as ur weapon and armor becomes damaged the armor chips, dents, and loses pieces while ur weapon also chips and dents, clothing would become tattered

I voted depends. Maybe they could implement it through a hardcoe mode like someone said earlier. If they did it in regular mode, than I'd like it to exclude unique items and artifacts. I'd also like the appearance of worn and torn items to be restored after I repair them...

I prefer dagoth armor and weapons (dohohohoho)
but anyway, I think this would be too much trouble (especially since the game is made to be played in first person) to go through for armor
for weapons it would be cool, and it would help you keep track of the condition of your weapons, which is something in morrowind I found annoying.

Yeah! It would be awesome if it loses chips and pieces! Absolutely awesome!
This also, as well as many many other things we hope for, depend on a good new engine (No gamebryo please!). Let's all hope for that!

Yes, but some spells to repair or make your armor invulnerable to non-magical attacks. Maybe silver weapons are able to ignore the attacks....I don't know, something fun like that.

yes, so did morrowind, but that's the thing
it's an OPTION
the game is made with first person in mind

I could have sworn there was already a well-developed thread on this, but I'm too lazy to search for it :P

Yeah, but it's trivial compared to other features that could be implemented. I don't think they will focus on this if it takes too much time, but maybe as a "Well we're done, might as well add it" type of thing.
