Wearable Mesh Resources

swrdphantom, TES Nexus has a separate entry box for "Author" in case you're uploading a resource by someone else, so I'd put it there.

Cheers for the thread!
A question for the experts... I'd love to be able to use Hurdy Gurdy's Female Robe 2 without conflicting with most bracers/gauntlets. Is there any fixed mesh or, at least, divided mesh so you can delete the overlapping part in NIFskope?
Any Blender/MAX expert volunteer to make them compatible (I think stretching/making the wrist part a separate mesh node would suffice)

You mentioned you were looking for the Better Clothes beta? Downloaded when it was released and since I'm such a packrat I've still got it.

Thanks swrdphantom and mystery05!

Talia, yes, that would be wonderful. The beta really does deserve to still be obtainable somewhere, probably TES Nexus.

Mandamus, there's a whole lot of stuff in Slof's Goth Shops that can't be found anywhere else, but until Slof lets us have her Morrowind mods back, it's going to be hard to come by. However, she did say in her readmes that anything in her mods is free to use as a resource, so if she DOES take pity on us, it'll open up a lot of stuff.

...huh? Linked from what comments pages?

:banghead:

What I meant was:

Could you please take screenshots for resources which don't have any, and post a link in the comments of the mod entry?

I must have been asleep when I wrote that

AlienSlof has once again graced us all with access to http://www.gamesas.com/redirect.php?site=http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26598 and http://www.gamesas.com/redirect.php?site=http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26601.
Looks like she uploaded at TesNexus on August 19 2009. :twirl:

Plangkye, Slof's goth shops are available at TES Nexus: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26598 http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26601 Apparently she uploaded them just yesterday.

Edit: oops, Tetchy got in before me. :P

Really? That's absolutely wonderful news! I'll go and take a catalogue of what resources can be found in them and add them to the Better Bodies list.

Sorry about the double post, but I feel I must make a public apology for a very embarrassing mistake. Insufficient reading of the readmes on my part has led me to leave Spirited Treasure's name off of all the mods that should have it there. It is entirely my fault and I apologize for any consternation my errors may have caused, especially since part of this thread's purpose is to help people credit mesh authors properly.

I've also added a few more things to the Better Bodies list.

great news about the goth shop.

ok i noticed that your including things like rings and Piercings so wondered if wed want to add a back pack to the list since technally its also worn. found a better bodies one

per readme
Backpacks BB
http://www.mwmythicmods.com/ranger.htm
Author Dereko
Meshes Dereko
**Misc***
Feel free to use the backpacks as a resource to include in a mod if you wish.
This Mod was cleaned with Testool and contains no bugs or known issues

mainframe also did a really nice back pack though his readme says do not use unless permission is obtained though he claims hes easy to reach so i wasnt sure if youd want to add that one or not. but here is the link anyway

I noticed this:
Durgoth's loincloths and tops - NO LINK CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
Loincloths in a few styles for both male and female characters, plus two styles of bra for females.

I'm pretty sure I have that one (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=d9df5d989a98f37c111096d429abd360711ba0ec4a1890c6c95965eaa7bc68bc). I'll look for it later, but I'm almost sure I've got it (the name seems so familiar).

Contains a version of HurdyGurdy's hooded robe that fits Better Bodies, and a cape by Junkmail. You must ask Korana before using them.

I'll save everyone some time before anyone messages me. Permission for those items is strickly a NO. There was some issues between a few people involved in the making of those meshes, I care not to see that re-hashed again. Please edit first post accordingly please.

Hi - am looking for different types of sandals - I know there are some of Dereko's in Xia's Silk Dragon Shop and Manadamus had a beach type sandal in Crimson wire - but I keep thinking I've seen another set somewhere?

What did they look like?

Certain boot models can be made into sandals via alpha channels, too. Most things that don't have high heels work for that.

I retextured, and compiled together a set of meshes for a new set of armorish, but I have no idea how to get these to show up in game on a character. I have no idea what slots etc they take up.

Would anyone either show me to a tutorial or offer their help?

You can easily see what body parts the armor takes up by opening the .nif files in NifSkope and seeing what all the parts are named. They will be called things like "Tri Chest 0" and "Tri Left Ankle 1" - whatever body part it says is the part the armor or clothing piece should be assigned to. If it says something else instead of a body part, then it isn't skinned, which means you just assign it to whichever body part it's meant to go on (like a non-skinned bracer mesh would be assigned to the Wrist body part that it would replace).

The body parts are:
Hair
Head
Chest
Clavicle (the upper part of a pauldron that appears outside a robe)
Upper Arm
Forearm
Wrist
Hand
Groin
Upper Leg
Knee
Ankle
Foot

All parts of the left leg between Upper Leg and Foot can be used by Better Bodies clothing without 'erasing' any body parts. You can also change which body part a mesh takes by typing in a different body part from what's shown in NifSkope.

Plangkye, I have a question about one of your resource mods. I used a mesh from http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7463 mod to replace some of the robes in CanadianIce's Robe Replacer, as I don't like the 'puffy sleeve' model. It all works fine for the most part; the only problem is that when my character walks into water, the part of the robe that's underwater disappears. I can live with this, but since I know very little about NifSkope and meshes in general, I wondered if there might be a way to fix it?

Remove the NiAlphaProperty from the mesh. This will work for all of Ice's robes except the "Bug Robe," the Whitewalker robe, and the Redas Robe of Deeds, which rely on alpha transparency - for those, change the number of flags in the NiAlphaProperty from 4845 to 15085 (I think).

I found a pair in one of slof's shop mods - but she didn't say who did the mesh - Silaria maybe? Does anyone know who did the mesh?
