I just uploaded a couple as well (editing previous post). I think it's even brighter in my game!

I implemented two of those "reasonable HDR" tweaks. Maybe that explains the discrepancy.

Edit: Uhhh, wait too bright...

Edit: I am going to launch the game again and try to find this cell in TES4Edit. Looking through every cell changed by LTBMD would take too long...

What is that texture from? It didn't seem to match any AN or vanilla sky textures?

Also note the 'dead' torch. Something I mentioned a long time ago (earlier version of the mod) which back then made the cell way too dark for character creation etc.

That's what I thought, but the weather reported was 01000866...

I'm trying to get Storms & Sound installed and I think I got it, but wanted to double-check. It's just the OBSE version that you should install if you're running OBSE, right? I am running OBSE... Otherwise I didn't know what to install in light of the way All Natural works... I also rebuilt my bash patch. I'm just getting an odd fog, but I'm not sure if it's just a weather pattern or an installation problem. Also the sky is a bit of an odd colour... This didn't happen immediately though - a weather transition has occured, so I'm waiting for it to pass again at this point.

Well it all seems to be working and the fog cleared - it was just a weather pattern. Maybe there was a forest fire somewhere - everything had a pinkish glow :) So I guess I installed it properly ;)

Are you using the fix pack 2? That fixed the EW fogs having a pink/purple tint to them...

Yes (I remembered it this time :)). Do I have to reinstall it after installing S&S? I ask because I've noticed that the interiors are awfully bright (at night - not worried how bright they are during the day), which I thought was a symptom of something not being installed correctly. My installation order is a little whacked this time because I've been adding some mods to my existing game, S&S being one of them. I did rebuild my bash patch and am importing cells from the All Natural plugin and the Indoor Weather Filter plugin. For All Natural, the only weather option I intended to use was EW, although I just noticed my ini was overwritten... I've also just recently installed AWLS.

I'm not getting stuck Oblvion weather, so I think the patch is working, but things definitely got brighter after installing S&S, especially if there's a storm at night. Maybe it's just overcompensating for the storm outside...

I'll fix my ini again, but I'm wondering if I should reinstall AN just to make sure some things didn't get overwritten when I installed S&S and AWLS (although I don't think any conflicts were reported when I installed those...).

S&S and AN hardly overlap at all. It certainly does not do anything for lighting. Do you have AN's RL module installed? Did you turn on darker nights in the INI file?

I'm referring to AN's RL module - sorry I don't think of running AN without it :) No I don't run with darker nights. I like the nights outside, it's just some of the interiors... I was actually just going to post an update anyway. It really does look like it was the storm. I've visited some places since then and they are nice and dark again. So I think either AN - RL or S&S overcompensates when there's a storm outside - that's what it looks like anyway. If I encounter the same thing again, I'll take some screenshots, but at this point I think things are working... I might even try enabling HDR again, although I'd like some further tweaks to tone it down more. I adjusted the blurRadius and brightScale, but it was still too much. Also, outside during the day is blinding. I don't know if any of you guys has some suggestions? Anyway, thanks for the suggestions and I will keep monitoring.

At least I'm not the only one suffering retinal scorching while outside during the day. At least in clear weather :) Don't look at the Ayleid ruins especially. Jesus those things throw a nasty glare. No idea why either because it seems largely restricted to those and the Anvil street texture.

Yeah, I'm afraid Corey Hart keeps coming to mind...

Ok, I'm revealing my age and my Canadian roots... I wear sunglasses at night... :sigh:

Oh, and turn down your monitor's brightness before entering The Gilded Carafe. I know it's called the Gilded Carafe, but you really didn't have to take it literally!!!

FYI: The ATI 3.0 shader that is supposed to fix the striations has been uploaded to TESNexus, for those interested in using RPG-BlackDragon's HDR modifications. I am certainly looking forward to that. ^____^ Now, I need to figure out how to make these clouds move more slowly...

The game looks great guys, thanks!

I've seen those seams before in my game. Haven't seen them at all since disabling NW weathers in the ini file, though. I use AN + Improved Sky Textures.

For all you people suffering from HDR retinal scorching, give this a try.

ATI users with newer cards will need this to make that mod work - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34125 <-- It will not fix things for everyone, apparently...

Edit: Also, the link to the HDR mod there is dead. However, someone seems to be reuploading RPG-BlackDragon's mods to TESNexus. Hopefully, the HDR mod will follow.

Grabbed RPG's HDR ultra - link was corrected. Thanks Meridian. I don't have an ATI card, so I don't think the other shader package mentioned previously will help, but I will check out the HDR pack.

I'm always wary of shader pack mods, having botched every attempt ever made to use them, or getting nothing resembling the promised results. Perhaps some kind soul could take some before & after shots on this?

I have been able to install the HDR shader pack just fine, but I had the ATI shader problem. I need to read the ReadMe for the 3.0 shader, and then I can try it.
