[RELz] Weather: All Natural, Thread 31

Post » Sat Feb 12, 2011 1:29 pm

Thanks, much appreciated. I'm guessing this should load after All Natural.esp but not way at the end of my load order like after my Bashed Patch?

It can go anywhere, since it just modifies stuff in the esm, which will load first.

Guess the All Natural - Indoor Weather Filter For Mods.esp needs updating for Shezeries Towns now. Any plans for this?

Already been done, it just needs one more adjustment to be made. I suppose at some point we'll need to issue filter updates independently of the rest of the mod :)

If you'd do that eventually that'd be great, even if it was just supplied from this thread. :)

(Didn't want to post this until I tested sufficiently, so that's why its a bit late)

Thanks for the fix, Wrinkly. My fast-switching weather appears to be exorcised.

Finally got an instant weather transition. I had saved the game right before it happened. I was just about to enter the IC, so I saved then opened doors. Went from nice weather to instant storm. Quit game, loaded patch, re-entered city - no problem. Looks like it fixed it just fine.

I still think you jinxed me though, Wrinkly

Holy Hell! Does Real Lights ever make a difference! I was wandering in Blackwood at dusk and before I knew it, I was engulfed in the blackness of night. Creatures would attack me and I could scarcely see them. I finally wound up at the Drunken Dragon Inn and had to use a lantern to light my way. All the dungeons I visited were 100% more creepy and real thanks to this mod. This is the first time where Oblivion felt REAL!

On the other hand, is Real Lights compatible with Elsweyr Anequina? Because I get CTDs constantly when approachin the Elsweyr borders.

I've started to run into some weird weather patterns. I am running the AN scripts.esp. Basically I'm getting a really strange fog that doesn't seem normal. It's a weird colour. I'll have it for a while and then it will disappear instantly - right in front of my eyes - no area transitions or anything like that. Now I haven't tweaked the ini file at all. Any ideas? I've got Wrinkly's debug ring and I guess I can try equipping that.

Edit: Arghh... Getting instant weather transitions now too - with the patch. This is all happening in SI. I got the weird fog in Tamriel too, but I've been stuck in SI for the last little while. I have used the debug ring a couple of times, but with an instant weather transition, I don't know how much that would help you. I've renamed the logs, so if you want them, let me know. I've got one when it was foggy and one when it had flipped to instant rain. Lastly, this is all happening while I'm just standing there - no fast travel or zone transitions involved! Although I did go from clear, entered a building and could hear rain... But it will immediately start raining when I'm standing outside debating my next move :)

The skies don't load in the interiors for me. I have it installed without the bashed patch file because I have very little mods installed for this playthrough and don't use Wrye. The weathers work fine, and I can see the outside of the buildings through the windows, but the skies are consistently black, making interiors a little too dark. What do?!

I'll check out SI. I'll need the ID of that foggy weather before I can do anything about that.

I've got the debug rings loaded now, so I'll continue to equip everytime I get some weird weather, but I don't think I can do much when it transitions - my psychic abilities are seriously lacking :)

 That's a vanilla weather, the SI Mania Fog weather. It's not due to AN that it looks weird, since AN doesn't alter the vanilla SI weathers, but if you're also getting that weather in Tamriel, then something is definitely wrong. I think the reason that you are experiencing fast weather switching will be because I forgot to also patch the SI weather script in my Scripts plugin. I'll make the change and send you a copy for testing.

I missed that script fix, kudos on the repost.

Not to derail your thread or anything, but I recall someone was working on a patch to make AN Real Lights compatible with the Respawning Welkynd Stones mod. I cant recall who it was, or what the status is. Any idea who/what/where?

Played for years without Weather mods, tried AN and I really like it, great job all. Like the RL component as well, but I burn through a lot of Welkynd Stones, so really looking forward to that compatibility.

*ed* It's PacificMorrowind, listed on his miscellany page at the nexus, no status though.

Ok, so if I get weird fog in Tamriel, I'll send along the debug data. I won't be back in Tamriel for a bit...

The meshes in your meshes\allnatural\architecture\settlements folder have screwed up normals. Stuff is dropping through the floors and elsewhere.
Looks like a bit of work.

I've tried installing the mod multiple times, but still have the issue where skies don't appear outside the windows. Here's my list of mods, maybe somebody can help me deduce the probrem? I think the one of the later commentors in tesnexus also has this issue.

Check the readme again, AN requires Wrye Bash to work and there's no bashed patch in your load order.
