The sky tiling issue is caused by the game being set to use a texture size that's smaller than large. We haven't figured out yet why only some of the daylight sky textures do that though.

So the game engine itself causes it? Let us hope that a solution can be found then one day, thanks Arthmoor.

My patience is drained and due to the circumstances of crashing I thought I should check in here first. I've done a step-by-step FCOM installation, worked all fine in beginningcave but when I exit the weather cycles 2-4 times in a few seconds and then the game goes kaputt, without even an error message. Help would be quite lovely =\

Very odd. I assume you're using OBSE v19b? Try disabling Storms & Sounds, Kvatch Rising and Reneer's Rain Mod, those are the only things I can see that might possibly influence the weather. See if that stops the crashing.

I've just noticed on the Nexus that Arthur's Natural Environments has been renamed to Arthur Natural Environments for All Natural.

My advice is: Do not download and install that mod.

I was not made aware of Arthur's work before this release, and so I don't have any idea what it does or how. Considering that Arthur's NE is one of the buggiest mods that I have ever tried, and that All Natural is a particularly complex mod, I would strongly suspect any claims of compatibility to be false. I'm downloading the mod, and will be examining it to determine the truth behind the matter. I'll update this post with my findings.

EDIT: Strike 1: Blatant theft of resources. Not only does Arthur claim that all the included resources are his (they aren't, I've spotted Max Tael's and HTF's in there), but he includes them without any claims of having permission or even having sought permission. This only re-affirms my opinion that Arthur is the sort of modder who gives modding very little but bad press.

Strike 2: Arthur's NE consists of a Textures folder, containing the stolen resources, and an All Natural.esp that TES4Edit shows is nothing but an almost identical copy of that which is included in All Natural proper. In fact, the only change is to make interior names completely illegible. For instance, "The Count's Arms Private Rooms" becomes "í?ì?eà "?eà??ê??? ??eáà"". There are no other files, other than a readme that consists of the following:

Arthur Natural Environments 2 9 7 for All Natural

1)Intall All natural

1)Intall "Arthur Natural Environments 2 9 7 for All Natural" in Oblivion folder


So yeah, pure blatant theft, with the only original component being illegible interior names. I'm going to report this to the Nexus admins, and I'd encourage anyone reading to do the same.

EDIT 2: OK, the file entry is now hidden on Nexus, which probably means that a moderator or admin is looking at it, so hopefully this issue will be resolved shortly.

Good spot - Files gone down for review, I doubt the need for that "Launch the program - ACV v1.1.0.exe" too, from what I gathered it was required to validate the files before you installed ???. I dont think I would have even tried it compared with what All Natural does, but it seems like it had quite a few people using it.

Yes, ACV v1.1.0.exe is the old school way to update the archive invalidation. When I became active in the modding scene at first, that file was still a common recommendation. Thankfully it's no longer needed.

Just before Admin took it down, the author had been doing a few edits, the action log had recent files deleted, description still was reading 2.9.7 but the only omod available was 2.9.5 - Bit of both.

Thanks for the ACV info, will remember that one, I was thinking along the lines of a bit more care going into the detail of a possible malware :shifty: suspicious old me :)

Well, making haste over a few mods is a few mods too much, reading Reneer's Rain Mod suggests that the mod isnt very stable and whaddayaknow, -1 Rain mod: Working Game.

Arthmoor mentioned a few things in post 14.

And which version of All Natural are you using, because to me it sounds like you are using version 1.1(I think that was the version.) which did have a problem with instant weather changes for many people(Me included). So if you are still using an older version then you should upgrade to 1.2 which does not have the instant weather change problem.

For the Spriggans/Ents issue, currently MMM should have no effect on the weather, since AN has the override. I think it would be possible to have a patch that changes the weather using AN's system. The alternative would just be to have the MMM script have the override flag when it sets the weather, but this won't play nice with vanilla, etc.


Do you have a pointer on how to go about with this? I suspect it's rather low on your priority list so I could check it out but I don't know what to patch.

You could try looking at the ANWeather script in All Natural Base.esm to get a feel for how AN's weather works, then replace the current weather changing in the MMM script with the correct reference and flag changes. You'll need to duplicate the weather selection bit, cutting out the chances though and just having it select from rainy weathers, then setting the oldweather variables to what the current variables are and setting the current variables to the selected weather, then setting the flag to 2. I could be wrong, it's quite complicated and it's been a while since I last looked at the script.

I can try putting together a patch tomorrow or the day after.

Ha, nice work! I'll fix those for version 1.3, although you'd only notice a problem if you had some insane jumping ability.
