Weather is stuck

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 10:32 am

After clearing Cracked Tusk Keep, the weather everywhere outdoors is stuck in the light drizzle you only get inside dungeons. Fast travelling and waiting do not fix this. Unfortunately thanks to my initial attempt at trying to enter/re-enter the dungeon to clear the weather, I have no auto-saves prior to the problem.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Perhaps a console command to reset the weather? I stand to lose about 6 hours worth of play.

Didn't work.

That changes the weather to clear and sunny, but the drizzle is still falling and it still sounds wet. Oh and it turns out I get the drizzle in all interiors as well.
Thanks anyways.

I got this once. It is an effect stuck to the camera. I had to reload an early save before it happened to get rid of it. Nothing else worked.

So another forum suggested that I use the console command "removeimagespacemodifier" (or "rimod" for short) as that is supposed to get rid of camera effects such as blood and blurriness. This makes sense as the drizzle isn't weather, but is superimposed on top of everything else. I can even change the weather and make it rain with the drizzle.

Unfortunately I still need the variable for this particular effect. Any idea where I could find this? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Console also lists the command, but not the variables.

Bumping again in case anybody can help.

I got a support email back from Bethesda, but it was a canned reply about fast travelling to get out of being stuck in the landscape.

Well I finally got back to the same point and it turns out the bug is repeatable.

I recommend avoiding Cracked Tusk Keep. You can add the shards via the console. There will still be an extra quest marker on your map, but it disappears when you turn the quest in.
