Website Issues

Post » Tue Jul 28, 2009 7:47 am

Hi guys,

We apologize for the amount of web issues we've had over the last 24 hours. We updated the forums so they display all of the posts from last evening until our technical issues earlier this morning. This should mean that most of your original topics are back online, complete with all the replies so far.

We will be sticking with our 'old' version of gamesas until we can resolve the problems with our new one, and then we'll be bringing it to you, fully operational and there to stay, with regular great content and media updates.

Don't forget, this forum is moderated by both Crytek and EA staff so if you are looking for a place to contact us, this is it. You can post in our official issues thread if you're having some problems, found here; http://www.gamesas.com/techissues and of course be sure to check out all our Crysis 2 multiplayer videos both for entertainment, and to pick up a few helpful tips:

Crysis 2 multiplayer trailer
Crysis 2 multiplayer team goes head to head
Crysis 2 multiplayer tutorial

Update 27/01/2011
After a lot of work we're finally back online with our new site version. Make sure you share your thoughts on the site in our feedback forum which can be found here: http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=23 if you have any problems with the new site you can also post them there or in this thread.

What do you mean?

Did you make an account yesterday? Or did you make one way before the new gamesas was launched? If you did register yesterday or today, there were some technical problems with the server, from what I've seen, alot of peoples post were deleted, and some other things as well.

If you were a member of the old gamesas, then you're account would be deleted unless you were active (This was during the relaunch of gamesas in June 2010).

Even my post got deleted in this topic. But no worries, I think things are hopefully coming back on track. :)

As per the OP, we apologise for the web issues over the last day or so. No one account was individually targeted. Unfortunately, the database needed to be rolled back due to issues, so any accounts created, posts/threads made or changes to accounts/profiles were lost & reverted back to the previous backup.

I tried posting at the feedback section but got not answer so i'm going to post it here..
Ok... in the "Edit Profile" we can find the "Your Setup" option and I typed in some hardware information about my PC but I wish to delete some of it.

I've checked the boxes to delete them and then saved the settings but they are still there...
Can someone fix that or help me out please?

Thank you

I tried setting up a MyCrisis.com account on my Xbox 360 slim 250gb, and it looked like everything went through fine. But it never actually created one so I just set it up on the site here.

Great layout for Forums the webteam has done a great job.

I have one issue. I use Chrome and it appears that the buttons on the top that show the previous Forums (In this case "Crysis 2 MP Demo > Website Issues") doesn't load.

I'm not sure that they are but assuming that they are in fact links, I think it may be an issue for Chrome users that are having trouble navigating.

meh as a web admin of a site that hits 10,000 uniques daily (on average) I know how issues just occur. The site stayed up throughout and was fixed within a day. Thats mildly impressive.

Ah I finaly got in lol, yea looks like there are still one or two issues, byt what a great layout, its way cool, but like some of the issues listed above, i am using the once only sign in affair, lol.
you know i was in here from first week and i didnt change a thing on my stats, apart from the high post count lol,

here is my problem, i cannot login, my p/word is incorrect, (it says ), after many attempts i then hit forgotten p/word, go to email and follow link, so i can reset my password,
Only if I can confirm my old p/word that isnt even recognised in the first instance,
can you please look into it ?
suggest send a temp p/word that can be used instead of previouse, to confirm change maybe, just a thought.
reckon it will soon be srted anyway but just incase?

Guss :-)

can i suggest changing the color of the quick reply window, cause the whole site is darkish and then the quick reply window is 100% white and it makes too much of a contrast

1. I tried to upload my standard avatar that I used for years now. This is what I get:

"
The avatar’s filesize must be between 0 and 48 KiB.
This file cannot be displayed because the extension is not allowed.
The upload was rejected because the uploaded file was identified as a possible attack vector.
"

Image: http://s543.photobucket.com/albums/gg446/X-RayXI/?action=view¤t=13330.jpg

2. Sometimes when I click on next page, nothing shows up and if you manually do the following address, it's fine. F.e. adding ....start=10, ....start=20
3. I don't get replies by email anymore if you select "Notify me when a reply is posted".

Good luck hard workers!
