Weird area hopping bug near Imperial City

Need Some Advice.

Near the imperial city there is this area where all NPC's and creatures just hop up and down constantly. You can see all the horses, outlaws and mudcrabs hopping up and down and it looks funny. I tried to put them out of their misery but when I ran into the area I started constantly jumping along with my companions until I slowly hopped out of the area.

Anyone experience this before?

I have quite a few mods loaded so I am sure I have some sort of conflict going on here.

Have you edited the uGridsToLoad=5 in the .ini? I changed it to uGridsToLoad=7 and it caused the problem you mention.

I do have it at 7. I will have to try it at 5 and see what happens. If I drop it to 5 am I going to lose a lot of the distant objects?

That fixed the problem. Does everyone have the same problem or does it depend on your mod loadout?

Yep - known problem, happens to me everytime - I've always wondered why Tweakguides maintains this.

I think its confusion with the UGridToLoad setting. Lowering this makes for great performance boosts when out side (as detailed in Streamline's StreamView section)
It's what allows me to run Really AEVWD with my paltry CPU ;)

One of several obscure engine bugs, and there's loads of places the landscape hopping happens.

Tweakguides still has it because it hasn't been updated in ages, and frankly I don't think the guy tested things much beyond "the game loaded and didn't crash so it must be good".
