Weird Dreams

Post » Wed Jan 12, 2011 7:19 pm

Last night I had a dream I was in a field (I think it was growing corn, but I'm not sure). I had a shopping trolley and my mum was with me. I was really depressed and kept repeating phrases like "Oh here we go again" and "Oh, god...". Eventually my mum turned around and very seriously said "It's okay, we're buying guava juice". I was ecstatic for some reason and we raced through the fields, found some gava juice on the floor and then I woke up.

I do love guava juice though. C:

after getting some of the Mournhold Expanded music...i had dreams i was with a group of presumably soldiers in a market..we had our rifles hung on our shoulders... http://www.military-today.com/firearms/cheytac_m200_intervention_l2.jpg i had that recurring character Alejandra in this dream walking along side me. as we were going along in this market, we were hearing all kinds of different music...some was from Mournhold Expanded, some were like lutes, drums, guitars, and other instruments, but none were electric. everyone was kinda keeping clear of us. except for this random woman in a red dress. i fixed my rifle to my shoulder and walked towards her. I bowed, with my hand stretched out, we began to dance. the music played was a mix of classic spanish and some arabic...my perspective moved out of me, and was circling around me and this woman as we danced, sand was blowing by at our feet, then she got shot in the head. perspective moved to a man with a pretty big moustache, an even bigger sombrero, and a poncho with straight lines on it, looked like one half of a hexagon on it. he got out his other revolver and was pointing one at me, and one at Alejandra, he randomly shouts out "We dont need no Stinking Badges!". I start to talk to him and he puts down both his guns and takes off the poncho, he is wearing a vest with a tie, he also has 3 other revolvers and a knife strapped to him, 2 revolvers underneath each armpit, and one across his chest, with the knife behind him in a sheath(kinda like where snake has his CQC knife in MGS4) he takes off all the straps and we start to walk towards eachother, he tries to grab my arm, and i twist his arm completely off. blood everywhere...people start to move again, music starts playing, and someone has already picked up the womans body.

I turned on a bunsen burner and then i was set alight. It did not hurt. I decided that it was sensible to start scaring people. I ran around the lab ignoring all the health and safety rules. I then blew up and each bit of me began to grow into another version of me. Each one had a different affliction ranging from Eczema to decapitation.

I then designed an army to make every lab in the country unsafe.

Last night, I dreamt I was riding shotgun in a milk float with Samuel L. Jackson. He was naked, and swearing a lot. I told him I didn't think much of his language, and yanked the steering wheel across to the side, jumping out the other side as he and the milk float tumbled down a cliff. He came back to get me, clothed this time, and I used my mind powers to shrink him down and try to drown him in a bath, only he turned into a lego SLJ and started biting my hand.

When ever I do dream which is barely ever it seems to be a re-occuring dream.
The latest one is when a nuclear bomb drops, the first time i just got incinerated, the second time i saw a house but the bomb dropped and the same thing happened again, the third time i went into the house but for some reason i came back out and died again, the fourth time iwent in and stayed in there. The bomb then dropped and i survive, then i woke up.

Last night I dreamed of my backyard back when I was around 8 years old.... the difference was that it was a 6 foot drop to the ground from the back door onto a swampy ground that had cat sized light green skinned frogs... While I was running around to get back into the house a hand sized rabid ground squirrel started to attack me biting the flesh from my thumb. Remembered that I got the 6 shot rabies vaccine which came in colored glass pipettes one of them was applied by making V's on my gums for some [censored] reason?...

Dream then turned into some wierder thing where I shifted into a smallish mansion with women around... I was pretty bored which annoyed the women. Not going to say whether or not they were clothed :P

I had a very strange dream today when I fell asleep while reading. Basically, due to a computer virus, my vision got all messed up. So, whenever my eyes were open, I could see and hear normally for about two seconds, then it would lag for two seconds then jump forward to two seconds after the lag. However, if my eyes were closed. Time went normally. So, I had to either do everything with my eyes closed, only relying on my other senses, or try to see, but lose every other two seconds. To add to that dilemma, I had to find the guy that hacked my comp which gave me this weird virus and stop some government dude from pinning me as the source of the virus. This left me in a drastic case of cat and mouse (not too different from Ethan Mars' situation in Heavy Rain
Spoiler
except I got to keep all of my body parts
)which I woke up from halfway through. That was kind of disappointing, but the vision phenomenon was rather noteworthy.

I had a dream last night that I was watching the taping of an advlt film inside a large construction dumpster outside of an unrelated business conference. There was some weird businessman sleeping in the corner of the dumpster who stood up while nobody was looking and said, "I can't help it!" Then I woke up.

I was running barefoot through a grassy field wearing a moss green dress. Suddenly the field became a hallway, which became recognizeable as my elementary school.
I turned and ran down another hallway, with the intent to escape what I knew was going to happen. I kept running and running, and the hallway became more narrow, and then the lineoleum floor turned into large smooth river stones. Water was flowing over them like a brook, and it became deeper. I reached the end of the hall, and I could see moonlight.
I ran smack into someone I did not expect to in the dream, and he asked me what I was running from, but I was too embarassed to tell him, and kept on running. Out into a field, a grassy, grassy field, and into a bamboo thicket. I ran down a riverbank behind the bamboo for a long time, until I came to a big tree where a rabbit, a monkey, and golden retriever were all having tea. In the middle of the night. They asked me to join them but my feet were dirty. All mucky and muddy. I stood in the stream and watched some fishes swimming down a hole.
There was a big door in the tree, and the monkey, the rabbit, and the golden retriever went inside. I could see that a lamp was lit. So I went through the door and came out into a desert. The grains of sand were making a humming noise when I walked over them. I could smell roses, but there were none around. Then I heard someone laughing, and hoofbeats coming closer. I looked down at my sandy feet, all scratched and dirty. I went to hide behind a big dune but then a little man with a spear hopped out and handed me half a pumpkin with some water in it. Then he stuck his spear in the ground, did some chanting, took the half a pumpkin, three of my hairs, and cut my hand with the spear tip.
It made an oasis, with palm trees, feathery ferns, and pomegrantes. A snake crawled past and told me not to eat the pomegranetes. There was a band there, with elephants playing drums, and lemurs on the xylophone. The snake bit my calf, and it started to harden, and I asked him why. He replied that it was because he was a snake.
Then my leg began to cramp horribly, so I woke up. Because my legs were actually cramping, that happens quite often.

Mamagato, I'm just going to point out that some people suspect that it was a pomegranate, not an apple, in the garden of Eden.

No, it's not just from those ridiculous commecials, that's an actual speculation that has happened.

I remember reading that in this big book I have on the events of the Bible and the aspects of its world that I traded my secret Santa gift to a classmate for back in elementary school.

i was on this large "airship" sorta like a zeppelin. i was dressed kinda raggedy, loose pants and a white tank top with spots of oil on it. me and 3 other guys(two with ridiculously green hair styles) were sprinting along accesways on the bottom of the ship. i got knocked down by the force of what felt like a bomb, it was an artillery piece mounted to the side of the airship, firing onto the ground. i make it to one artillery piece maybe 20 meters along the way in another section of the ship and start pressing buttons on machinery around me. i cranked up a dial that looked to be a communications piece, and started moving wheels to rotate to what the guy on the communicator said. i pulled back a lever, and the gun opened up. it was like a massive revolver, it had a place where a conveyor belt and a group of machines loaded 6 shots into the cylinder where the rounds were held, it closed up, and i pulled a lever that fired, the cylinder turned, and i fired again. i continued to fire until all 6 shots had been fired. i pulled a lever that engaged the unloading sequence of the reloading process, and a machine dropped the spent shells overboard. i watched the shells drop into a trench with soldiers in it. they broke a side of the trench.

last night i was treated to a dream. a very strange dream. i dreamt i was sitting in class when a knock was heard on the door. then the door was knocked off its hinges. this...thing slithers into the room. it has the body of a snake, it has the chest of a human(like a lamia) with these....wings for arms. its head has a face on one side, and an extra mouth on the other side. it has four eyes that seem to be placed on the front of the face, but it looks like the skin was torn open where the eyes were...i go to the back counter of the classroom and get a guitar...i begin to play a part on a guitar. it moved to the song. after i continued to play, it began to sing..with both mouths...i got to a fast part in this song....and it sprang at me. i spun around it and kicked it in the side..i continued to play. this continued for a while until it finally collapsed. i played the outro to the song and put the guitar back.

I had the balls-out craziest dream I've ever had last night.

You know how you sometimes hear about those dreams where you think you wake up, but then you see the axe-murderer from your dream again and you get stabbed and then you wake up again? And again? And again?

I had one of those. Hell, I could still be asleep, I guess, if not for the fact that everything's so clear and the cycle was started by a loss of clarity.

See, in this dream, for some reason, I was up on the roof of a house with a sketchbook. The roof was made of corrugated metal. Then, suddenly, it all felt like it stopped being a dream. Shapes changed, weird things happened, and suddenly I could see a cityscape on the horizon, I could feel the wind on my face, and everything felt real. It felt there. I stopped and thought to myself, "Maybe this is what Metrophor's dreams are like all the time? Hey, I just remembered BGSF! In a dream!"

Of course, a few seconds later everything had to go to hell. Suddenly, everything became fuzzy and blurry and dreamlike again.

And then Pennywise the [censored] Clown showed up, and it really went to hell. His face popped out of a wall. I tried willing myself to wake up, and "I did." Only getting up out of my bed, his face popped out of the wall again. I tried willing myself to wake up, and I woke up in a forest road. I walked down the forest road, and the [censored] clown was there and he jumped me. Then I was someplace else where I had a pencil in my hand and there was a grassy area nearby. This is where the real loop started. Every time I'd go down to the grassy area, and every time, Pennywise would be there, and he would try to kill me while babbling about awful, dark things that I can only half-remember. Every time, I'd try to stab him, and every time, it did nothing. Every time, I forgot what was going to happen until the very end. Every time, I got more and more agitated and angry, because I didn't know what was happening.

Then, on the tenth or so time this happened, I was just perfect fury. I wasn't even afraid of the damn clown anymore, even though it was currently going for my jugular. I just stabbed it with my pencil over and over and over and over... and over. And it started bleeding. Half it's face was already cut to pieces and it wasn't stopping. So I jabbed my pencil in its eye over and over. It was gory as hell. For another second or two, everything felt real again, and I saw him stabbed up with his eye all gory. And I wouldn't. Stop. Stabbing. Pennywise. I actually noted, subtly, as he dropped dead, that it didn't even sound like Tim Curry.

Then everything dissolved, and my normal dreams resumed, even though I could remember what just happened.

What. The. [censored]?

See, Def, that is my entire philosophy concerning nightmares: STAB IT UNTIL IT DIES.
Doesn't always work, as you no doubt discovered, but it is mighty cathartic.

Also, a cityscape on the horizon, you say? Go, man, go! You're getting closer! .3.

I hate those dreams where you wake up, only not. I've gone through the entire ritual of getting up, getting dressed, brushing my teeth, and grabbing my keys before waking up (AGAIN).

I actually tried checking to see if it was Midpoint. But, alas, it wasn't. It looked more like Caracas, my personal vision of hell (I'd link you to the Wikipedia page, but the pictures there definitely do not capture the hell that is Caracas). But, hey, I was more excited about everything becoming so real. That, I think, would be a more interesting thing. I was actually thinking about possibly getting to Midpoint when everybody's favorite clown showed up and I returned to normal level of dreaminess (or nightmarishness, in this particular case).

Hey, a city's a city, eh wot?
...Well, unless that city is hell. Which does not sound very pleasant.
Pennywise used to terrify me as a kid. I still don't know what my parents were thinking by letting me watch IT.
Also, fun facts: I didn't realize that was Tim Curry until about... three weeks ago.
Yeah. I'm slow.

I wasn't really focused on my loathing of the city. Just how real everything had suddenly become. I was pretty ecstatic, for a few seconds.

Your stories make me wonder if my own attempts at lucid dreaming are being defeated by my daydreaming.

Last night I had a dream where I was in a classroom and someone was playing 8-bit music. I looked behind my chair to see him and said, "Let's play some Flat Zone.", and said song started playing. Then I was playing Melee as Captain Falcon, but the stage played in complete 3-D, and I was destroying all of the Wireframes coming after me. Then I defeated Ganondorf with one Falcon Punch before I said, "This is too easy, am I playing on Easy or something?" The next part of my dream then involved me looking out my kitchen window to see a bald eagle fly outiside. My sister and I then saw this weird stork pench on our windowsill. For the last part of my dream, I was in the kitchen and ate a fruit that caused my soul to come out. I then spent the rest of the dream examining my still living body.

Interestingly, last night I had the third appearance of a returning nightmare figure, which I guess qualifies it for recurring dream character status. I'm unable to provide a name, unfortunately, since even though I'm sure it's been mentioned in-dream more than once I can never remember it after waking up. I would describe it, but it might be a bit graphic for forum standards.

What's strange is that while I'd classify these dreams as nightmares for their contents, they rarely scare me. I don't have a sensation of being truly threatened by this thing, even if it's directly attacking me, despite its appearance and behavior being dramatically worse than the events of other nightmares I awoke sweating from. In fact, I don't think it ever has harmed me (not for lack of effort, as far as I can tell), which is unusual in itself because in most dreams, good or bad, I'm lucky to get out alive.

The dream last night seemed to take place on a vague "large spaceship" setting, the kind seen in many horror movies, where the whole place is made of poorly lit steam pipes and air ducts. If anyone has played Dead Space, the Ishimura would be a good example of what the place looked like. I was there with a couple dozen others, not sure if we were crew or visitors. Everyone was in a panic (except me, apparently already aware that I wasn't in danger) over some danger on the ship, which sure enough, came crashing through the ceiling. The room itself consisted of a large, empty chamber and a hallway separated by a "window" of metal screens. Some people hid behind the screen, while others and myself attacked the monster. It didn't pay much attention to the attackers (which didn't stop it from killing about 2/3 of them), but instead focused on tearing into the adjacent hallway to get at the others. It killed most of them as well, but by then it was wounded enough that it escaped back through the hole it made...though I got the feeling that it was more of a "my work here is done" departure than really fleeing.

After regrouping we fought some necromorphs (I guess maybe it really was the Ishimura?), but they weren't nearly as bad, so things were even less scary. Not even the others seemed very threatened by them. Indeed, I think the reason they waited to appear is that they were hiding from the creature, too. We made it off the ship, which it turned out was on ground, possibly crash-landed, and saw a huge cave nearby. We started moving toward it and then I woke up.
