Weird Item glitch

Post » Tue Sep 15, 2009 11:12 pm

Not sure this is right forum to post this in, if not please move to correct one.

Level 25ish character doing some dungeon delving. Playing with full FCOM install, a few other mods, load order set with most recent BOSS list and BASHED to the hilt.

Went into Garlas Agea near Anvil and was slaughtering baddies. Found several "Necro Cuirass" lieing on the floor, picked them up and went about finishing dungeon. Looked in inventory and the Necro's weren't there but the encumbrace for them was noted on the inv page (was encumbered and couldn't move). Looked through inv several times and couldn't find them. Completely stripped all items out of inventory and still had encumbrace of 200 butt naked. Went to an earlier save and checked that my naked encumbrace was 0 and then picked up another of the Necro cuirass and had same occurance. Don't know if it will help but the id of cuirass from console is (ff02b591). I did search in data and found the item in both meshes and texture folders under Oblivion/OE/Necro. There was a .nif and a .DDS file. Could not find what mod it was associated with.

Any ideas, suggestions on this. A first time occurance for me and haven't ever noticed any thing like it in forums that I have read. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This isn't in the Vanilla Oblivion, so it must be in a mod you've got. The only thing I can think of is that in the mod that you've got, this Necro Cuirass has a _gnd.nif file (so you can see it on the floor), but in the armor settings, it's not got the "Playable" tag ticked - so you can't see it, but you can still feel it's presence.\
It seems odd, though! Check which mod it is that's doing it, or just play on if you don't really mind. :)

Thanks for quick reply, looked in a couple mods in CS with no success finding it. Will be more thorough.

Thanks so very much. Wonderful utility. Made it a breeze. Found items and edited them to playable. Now off to pillage and plunder some more.

It's good practice to tell people what the answer was, n this case which mod they came from, just in case someone finds this thread with a search.

OK, thanks for the prodding, :prod: still learning. It's in Oblivion Warcry EV. At least that's the .esp according to FormIDFinder. So from WarCry.
