Incredible hi-tec weaponry. Advanced robots. Technology that has kept a man alive for 200-300 years. BUT NO GOD DAMNED CARS?! :brokencomputer:

Mentioning Brahmin makes a good point. Can make bio disel with left over brahmin parts and other bio- fuel from crap.

Still one train, one driver a few mechanics to move thousands of troops is way cheaper then. Trucks which you'll need a driver for each one. Mechanics to rebuild and maintain those trucks. The Fuel for those trucks, parts, the infrastructure needed to move thousands of troops.

Its not really a matter of can they do it? Its a matter of which is cheaper and easier to do.

Also nuclear power is not really an option. World running low on uranium before the war.

I hope the Engine of FO4 allows for wheels because FO1 and FO2 have large Caravans of Brahmin pulling carts made out of old cars. I want to see that again insted of brahmin carring everying.

Good points there.
Though I just tittered you realise with the release of FO1+ that made the apocalypse 100% man made.
Now you have mass herds of mutated two headed cows as a source for food, transport, clothing and just about everything else in the wastes.
Current evidence showing that livestock has a mass contribution to climate change make the FO universe doomed from the start by a unseen enemy.

Keep an eye out on Skyrim Styles as that's likely to give you a clue for a future FO..
Though if not in at the start if the engine is capable of it a modder will figure a way to do it.

The real question is, "Why can you hit poeple with a pool cue, but not use it to hit pool balls?".

*** and the real stinger with that is...
Spoiler
That the pool balls and the table all have Havok collision setup ~you CAN play pool with the BB gun.

Stimpacks can't cure mechanical damage to a machine.
thats my point i know that a stimpack can't cure mechanical damage thats why i said it in a things that don't make sense thread holy shizzle.
The engine does not support interiors well; Most (if not all) l interior spaces in these games are actually different maps. Those that appear interior are exterior (like a ruined house with no walls).

That's a damaged quote... It should read....

**Now, I said 'mechanical damage', but don't the Eye-bots have parts of a living brain inside them?
(I'm not sure anymore... I seem to recall thinking that they did, and that the texture art had bloody brain depicted in it)

I've never heard of that but still the needle would need to puncture metal to do so.

Or have an I.V. injection valve. (but even so... I can't think of what the stim could plausibly do once inside.)

Nothing really, stop hemorraging, increase bonding, and tissue regeneration.

If the blood was synthetic and not human, plus the frame was based on the same material the stim could act as a catalyst in Science.
Resulting in bleed through of the internal damage to seal the exoskeleton, when in contact with the stim.

Agreed that was stupid

If I am wrong sorry but can't we do that in FO3 as well?

Stupid might be a bit too strong word, as some measure of the KISS principle must be maintained or the game will be bogged down by an overly draconian inventory management.
I'm sure someone will make a mod that makes weapon repair kits the new stimpaks for ED-E some day though ^^

I never hired the robot companion in FO3 (or any companion really), so I dunno about that.

Stupid is being able to mix Stimpacks from roots and flowers. :banghead:
(that was the recipe for tribal healing powder ~not battlefield stimulant injections)

I don't mind if it were nano-tech... I just mind that its military tech, and you shouldn't be able to make that with a bowl of crushed plants.

I like the idea of being able to whack someone with a rolling pin though. I have wanted to do that from time to time in the real world as some fools just deserve it...It does not make any sense that you cannot hit someone with a hammer. I mean a bludgeoning object is just that right? Just pick up the first thing you see and hit them over the head with it. It would be cool if you could throw a hammer at someone. I mean what the heck, they have throwing spears right(which is actually crazy that there are spear chucking capabilities in the game) but you can't hit someone over the head with a hammer.

This should be an obvious one: How can they create a coyote/rattlesnake hybrid that lives and breeds successfully? ..not to mention all the other creatures, but hey. Not gonna go there.
Why does no one drink brahmin milk?
Considering all the six that goes on in NV, you'd think there'd be MUCH more children. Not to mention babies.
Your character can yell as they smash someones skull in right behind another person, but as long as you're crouched they'll never notice. Strangely, they also won't notice the dead body on the floor as they turn around and step/sit/sleep on it.
What do women do to deal with their periods in the wasteland? "oh so that's where that blood stain came from.."
Why does the doctor randomly give you, a stranger, his pip-boy?
It never rains.
There are bathtubs, but no soap.
As an artist I often wonder this: Who does all the logos? I don't mean signs by Michael Angelo, I mean symbols for the factions and such. Who makes the Legion bull flags, or the NCR flags? Who created the BOS symbol? What about the Khans' art? etc. etc.
Why are there no cats or mutated cats? ..I want a badass mutant cougar.
How do the wastelanders know what a t-rex is in the first place? (referring to Novac)
How are there still no form of schools? (I think)

(yes I know about game mechanics don't try to take the fun away haha)

I just see the stimpacks made from roots and flowers as the non-tribal way to make healing powder.

but you and Fleapants are right stupid is to strong of world. I know why they did it, Fleapants sums it up nice as to why. A mod to heal ED-E with weapons kits would be good.

Why does no one drink brahmin milk? --How do we know they don't?

Considering all the six that goes on in NV, you'd think there'd be MUCH more children. Not to mention babies. FO3 and Bethesda's stance on harming kids. People got really upset they could not harm the kids and FO3 has so many of them, Lamplight :swear:

Why does the doctor randomly give you, a stranger, his pip-boy? He does not need it. Nice Guy.

It never rains. Game engine and its a desert

There are bathtubs, but no soap. People don't bath much. Can swim in clean radiation free rivers.

Why are there no cats or mutated cats? ..I want a badass mutant cougar. they are all dead, extinct.

How are there still no form of schools? (I think) There are schools just not in the Mojave. Don't need no books

(yes I know about game mechanics don't try to take the fun away haha)

Daisy said she flew the Vertibird that crashed in FO2
Yet there are bodies all over the place
How did she get away?
Wouldn't the Enclave had picked up the Bodies if they picked her up?

Also Boomers artillery is guided by spotters
But how can they see past all those rocks and building's if they never go past the gates?

Maybe.
But why take that risk?
It would seem logical for the Enclave to pick up the survivors and Equipment.
Who wants the enemy to get a hold of their advanced weapons?
Not to mention a valuable pilot.

Maybe the radio was broken. It wouldn't have been terribly dangerous to walk all the way back when you have an APA and a plasma pistol.
