I was trying to find From-Deepest-Fathoms around Riften but gave up so I had to use the player.moveto command and found myself in a cross shaped room full of naked dead people, including Fathoms who I was looking for.

There's also two living elves, a female named Una and a male called Malborn. There are also two coffins. What the hell is this place? Hell?!

It seems like a place where dead NPC's go (other than coffins). I'm sure other PC players know exactly what this place is.

That's the dead body clean up cell. I've used it to bring back NPCs who were killed by dragons/vampires, or got into a furball with others, over the stormcloaks vs imperials dispute.

That is the deposit for deleted "quest related" NPC.

You can't enter this room without console command....

It is where all the NPCs you kill go to when they are disabled in the game world. IIRC, only named NPCs go here. For some reason they can not be removed from the game world, but have to be stored here when they are removed by the clean up scripts.

You should find a very much alive and naked Malborn in this cell. It's the alternate Malborn, the one that is used as the container for the stuff you give him during the Thalmor Embassy quest.

Malborn is my little helper. Cannot do this job alone...He's naked because he needs to carry loaded NPC's, and he doesn't want to be over encumbered.

So, this is PC only. Even with the help of the mighty wooden plate? It's always fun to randomly encounter stuff like this. You're always learning in Skyrim.
