Hey guys,
One of my dungeons has a lot of very weird flicker/lighting issues when the player wields a torch. In certain places, some static pieces in the environment simply refuse to be lit. One or two of my testers reported this during development, but I never could get it to happen. Now I'm getting it in a few specific places in this one dungeon, and I'd like to try to fix it.
Here is what it should look like: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/901004911788322732/A221AE0C44F22895E4107CC12EE1A513C3784075/
But if I back up a few steps, I get this: http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/901004911788313481/BBDD0FDA5DC6585E9F173C8F844AF4956066D6AF/
There is also a distant piece of wall (pillar) that refuses to be lit by any light sources from certain angles: http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/901004911788345511/C40F811FF212A023EF595AC3F3E6BFFAA84A9A36/
Again, this is normal: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/901004911788353023/AFCAB03F8DD52946F6CACF8DD637F74EFF4CB0A4/ (Actually, I noticed that the player's hands/arms aren't lit up properly here...)
But back up a few steps, and I get this: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/901004911788350174/E8676406639ACD3ACA5983E82E7CA8F2D42655D5/
The area does have roombounds, but they expand way farther out so the lights aren't being 'culled', and it's only a few statics, not all of them. I also notice that the 'torch' light goes out, and the player's hands/first person are no longer lit. I saw this on a Let's Play, and I get the exact same wonky results...
Any ideas?
