welcome to cat city

Post » Mon Jan 11, 2016 8:27 pm

I made a settlement in sanctuary hills called cat city, it is build right to the outside limits and is also build to the maximum height. So its pretty big. This was made on the playstation 4.

one thing i will say of anyone wants to make something this big, dont use the jukebox, tv or more than 4 fans, otherwise you will get disgusting low fps, like 4 fps low.

I hit the settlement max size about 5 times and i am still not done, i still have to put furniture in all the houses and dress it up with random loot. There are multiple entrances that still need security on it along with some more lighting.

Hope you all like it. I put my own fireworks on the roof near the end of the video its around the 7 min 40 mark.

Its a youtube link from my phone, let me know if it doesnt work.

Wow, that is pretty amazing.

How long did it take you to collect all that concrete?

Concrete took me forever but that wasnt the worst, its the wood and steel. I think ive used 30k plus in wood and 15k in steel.

Believe me i tried, i just didnt have the room for all the generators needed. Wish they had small nuclear reactors that pumped out 100 power.

Greatest town in the commonwealth. I thought you used some kind of console thing for the resources but then I noticed PS4.

I thought I built some nice little towns but I was wrong and you built the best thing ever.

Do it, start with concrete all the way around 1 high so you know it fits and joins up properly. Then check the height limit. When i did mine i left enough room on the roof to fit two lightboxes on top of eachother. Also two lightboxes is enough height space for you to place anything and still walk around without being kicked out of build mode.

There was a whole town on the roof originally, then i decided on a sky lounge with fireworks. I still need to make a tree house in there and add another level for merchants, plus all the detailing with items.

Me too, i started making this when i saw OPS 62 people settlement video. I thought i made a huge settlement in starlight drive in to the max limit. Then realised how small and crappy it was.

I'm using this time before GECK as practise runs for when DLC and proper mods are finally released, and we can build truly amazing settlements. Still a lot of fun though with what you can do on the PC even in these early times.

Doing big things like this on the ps4 is a real achievement.
