Welcome To Cloud Nine.

Kristen sat down in her chair, going over status reports and Location files, all boring and medial chores that had to be done if the group was to ever make money, she read out aloud to herself about so called vaults and abandoned towns, all of which did not come from all too reliable sources mostly drunks and crazies with dreams of the lush finders fees that kristen and her group gave out to worthy finds, she kept running over and over the reports for what seemed like hours, nothing had sparked her intrest, untill she came across an old letter, it was given to her and her scav team when they had helped an old farmer out to the east, it was sealed and she never opened it, today though she felt Lucky.

As she slid her hand under the plastic seal, and she broke it and took out the letter and started reading it.

Thank you, Kristen.

You and your men have been
a great help to me and my farm please, my ancestors were once great politicians,
and they had many treasures, i think that this one is the most fitting for treasure
hunters such as your selves, at these co-ordinates you will find
a hatch, like the vault you must enter a passcode to open the doors
The code is Composed of Four Alpha Neumerical Bi-Case Symbolic Code

DmiwdMIWGHQYD^#&2%63287&$^2
giwuMEkjdsimmi3755287%87364&$67
kjwijcmJOENMDWnjuwdia8273647$)(*
KSODuheuFUheuias87284$*#&!^@ds

Then you will enter a chamber that will tell you all about a place of legend
Cloud Nine, it is full of everything you can dream of, perhaps even a home
If you do find something there, please come back for me, ive always dreamed
of going there but im old and frail. As long as i shall live, i will owe all of my
Life to you and your warriors.

Marcus John Vinci

"Crazy Old Coot" she said placing the letter in her desk and continuing on with her job of reading reports and sitting around, she pulled out some whiskey and poured out some shots, and started drinking, this was starting to tire her, night after night of sifting through dross, after another hour of going through more and more reports kristen was at her wits end, there were only two vaild reports and both of those would barely yeild 500 caps each and take atleast a week to completely scav the place, she slammed down her empty bottle of whiskey and stood up.

"Screw it, got nothing better to do" she said as she pulled out the letter from the farmer and walked over to her computer

The computer was old but it was one of the most advanced things in all of the world, as far as she knew it had a direct uplink to a satellite relay system that showed a topographic map of the whole of america, canada and parts of mexico, she entered the co-ordinates from the old mans letter into the system, the computer started to chug and wheeze, lights flickered on and off as the entire bases electricity was being drawn into the computer, after about 15 miniutes of sorting through files and pictures it came up with the final location of the Vault to Cloud Nine.

The place was pretty uninspired, it looked like it was just a hole in a mountain the only visible feature that made it interesting was the fact that the mountain was overlooking the sea, kristen ran over the letter again and again, she was pretty drunk when she decided on it but she decided that the squad would take up the old mans challenge, she decided to travel to Cloud Nine.

She switched off her computer and turned off the lights as she walked out of her room, she opened the door and looked down on the rest of her crew. her room was onthe top level with two stairwells either side leading up to it. The base was home to their squad ever since they found information about it after scavving from an old military base in the east, they came here and it was love at first sight, it has everything the squad needs, rooms, mess hall, recreation center, storage, garage, an armoury and especially a vault for the squads most precious treasures. She looked down on her men, she saw Sam and Andrew talking with eachother, Edward was doing some fix work on his sniper rifle. She spied Darius training with a dummy and strive was doing some weight lifting in the corner. Vimes was sitting on a couch reading a book and Roy was working on one of his special grenades at the work station. As usual she couldnt see luke, he was a very mysterious person a theif, but she respectd him. Harley was Fiddling with his motorbike near the entrance to the garage and seemed to be chatting to benji who was tinkering with a bear trap. And finn was lazing around somewhere else.

"Snap to it Boys" she yelled as she decended the stairs, everyone snapping to attention

They all saluted as Funn and Luke came running in from the adjacent rooms saluting her as she walked through the main hall, the rest of them following suit, she came to the centre of the room and stood loking back at them, most of them were ready for the next job they had been out of work for atleast two months some of them were getting edgy, Sam came up to her and asked her what our next assingment was.

"Get into the Truck Boys" she said walking into the garage.
"Bike as usual?" said Harley
"You know it" kristen replied as she entered the garage

Everyone filed into the back of the truck, The old army truck was refitted by kristen a few months ago for when the squad needed to go cross country, which was quite regularly. Sam jumped in next to her as she started the truck up, pulling out of their Base, She looked out through the rearview mirror to see Harley locking up the base and setting the autodefence system that protected them from poachers.

After about an hour of travel and a short discussion with sam about where they were going, they arrived atop the mountain and looked out, as they did harley came Roaring up behind them coming to a screeching halt infront of them, sam and kristen walked over to the entrance, they entered and started inputting the codes as the rest of the squad got their armour and weapons ready and loading harleys bike into the back of the truck.

"Enter these codes as you come closer, im gonna get the men ready."
"Yes, Ma'am!" sam said entering the codes into the input terminal

The men were standing there in their ranks as she came out of the mountain side, all standing at attention she towered over them and told them where they were going, to a vault. Everyone cheered, from past experiances vaults gave thousands of caps in tech and steel from the vaults, heck one of them even gave the group harleys bike. As she finally explained the contents of the letter, a loud Chunking was heard and the Whirring of Cogs and machines from inside the mountain itself, the rocks began to shift to reveal a giant pod on steel tracks, sam stood there leaning against the input console smiling back at them

"Well, You coming?"

Everyone smiled in amazement as they all walked dumbfounded towards the huge steel pod, as they did it opened and everyone filed in, cocking their guns and preparing to go into the deep underground vault, many thoughts raced through Kristens head as they did, why would you need a giant pod just to go to an underground vault. The doors slowly closed and the metal pod started to move, the whirring of gears slowly chunked away as the rocks started to move back over the entrance to the vault, the tracks were rusty and all they could see was rock, everyone sat down in the chairs and waited there was some nice slow music playing, kristen stood there staring at the wall. The sphere started to speedily drop faster and faster.

With the blink of an eye, the giant glass sphere was enveloped by beautifull clear water and fishes of every colour, such beauty hadnt been seen by kristen in all her life, as they did, some TV screens came down and a smooth authorative voice filled the pod...

Is a man not entitled to the sweat on his brow?
In Communist China, No, His sweat belongs to everyone.
In Patriotic America, No, It belongs to the Downtrodden
In The Catholic Vatican, No, It belongs to God!
But that is why I made my own city.

Darius had just lopped the head off his personal training dummy when Kristen called everyone to attention. Most likely it was going to be another mission where everyone managed to risk their lives for meager pay. Darius didn't mind though, the experience gained from each battle increased his abilities. He grabbed a whetstone from a pile of them he kept near his bunk and quickly ran to the truck, hopping in first.

Unlike most of the group he mostly kept to himself, only speaking when absolutely necessary or caught off guard by something. Because of this he was somewhat distanced from the team, even though he'd give his own life for any one of theirs. A strange relationship to be sure. As the truck sped off toward the band of mercenaries new destination he began sharpening his treasured katana, made from the finest scrap metals he could get his hands on during his childhood. He kept the blade in perfect condition and everything else in near-perfect condition, and this habit had saved his life on more then one occasion.

After reaching their destination, a seemingly innocuous mountainside, Darius hopped out of the truck and strapped on a Kevlar vest, then putting his signature white leather coat on over it. Next he sheathed his blade to his left side, his Sig-Sauer 14mm Auto Pistol tucked inside his jacket.

Eventually Kristen returned from the mountainsides entrance, telling the group about the potential vault score. This usually meant a lot of loot, but it could also mean potential resistance in the form of vault dwellers. Normally this wouldn't be a problem considering vault dwellers had never seen real combat, but Darius was always one to see the threat of a situation lying in wait. He remained silent even as they entered the huge steel pod, feeling a sense of dread wash over him as the doors slowly shut.

The pod started moving while Darius sat down in one of the comfortable chairs, wondering just how far underground the thing went. Something like this had to be created for below-sea level purposes, otherwise they could've just built some sort of tunnel. Slowly but surely the pod began to pick up speed, eventually descending into the sea, confirming Darius' suspicions. If something were to go wrong down here they'd need to keep their cool, the possibility of drowning in this place did not appeal to the young merc.

As I checked over my medical equipment my breathing started accelarating rapidly, I looked out of the small pod and all I saw was water. Perhaps this was... Not true? Perhaps, this shouldn't be happening... I looked how deep we probably were and I gasped, by my reckoning we should've been crushed by the pressure in the sea by now, I quickly brought myself up against the wall and I took a deep breath. Everything felt so normal, like we were on the surface.

I contemplated that maybe it was a simulation, but I shook my head, I thought it through, this was to real for it to be a simulation. I looked at my med-gun, I quickly scanned the scratches, I looked at my pistol and I shuddered, if there was anything hostile down underneath the sea... Well... That wouldn't be to good, I looked at the others and my heart skipped a beat. I looked down at myself and I took yet another deep breath. Then I quickly remembered something.

I remembered a tale of a city, built beneath the sea before the great war. I took a breath and looked around, surely the tales of the city beneath the sea was a myth? Surely this was just some... Different place, that none had heard of? I took another breath and I raised my voice, "Err, maam, are you sure about this? This seems so dangerous... Even look at all the other possibilites, who knows what toxic materials could be down here..." I took another breath.

I looked at the others, half of them looked at me like I was a simple rookie, I scowled at them. I knew how to survive unlike half these idiots, I'd saved almost all their lives more than 10 times... I raised my voice again, "Okay, how many of you would've realised that we should've been crushed by the pressure underneath the sea about... I don't know... A couple of metres ago? This isn't right, we shouldn't be breathing..." I shook my head and took a breath for emphasis.

Edward

After Kristen summoned the men to the truck, Edward had busied himself tuning his sniper rifle, his pride and joy. He had named it Samantha, after is mother, and it had never failed him once. He had thought it ironic when he named it that, because his mother was a great failure as a parent, but he still loved her, even if he shouldn't. Once they arrived he shook his head to clear his thoughts, before taking off his leather jacket and checking the armoring on it. The pieces of rusted, worn out steel were still attached to the jacket strongly, and it looked like he wouldn't have to do any quick repairs on it today, so he was thankful.

After placing on his makeshift kevlar vest and putting his armored pants and jacket back on, he strapped his Mosin Nagant to his back, and placed his dagger and .357 magnum in their respective holsters on his hips, he jumped out of the truck.

A Vault was a usually a good score, but it often meant Edward's true skills couldn't come into play. There was very rarely a Vault that had enough room for a sniper to come into play, so Edward usually just had to stand back and follow, occasionally using his pistol or his dagger to kill an ambushing enemy. He sighed, knowing his urge to kill would not be sated today.

As they approached the large, metal pod he suddenly felt like it was a foreboding sign of bad things to come. The scarred metal of the pod almost looked... evil? No! He laughed at himself for thinking such ridiculous things. It was just a metal pod! What could it signify?! He continued chuckling to himself as they entered the pod. He stopped suddenly when it jarred to a start, moving down the railway with a long groan, as if it was protesting them awakening it from its long slumber.

As soon as Andy started to speak he went over to him, agreeing with him.

"I don't trust this either. This old metal shouldn't be able to withstand this amount of pressure either! Why the hell isn't there water rushing in and killing us with irradiation? Hell, isn't there the risk of the radiation doing some freaky stuff to the metal and irradiating us? I don't trust this one bit!" he said, while turning to Andy. "Hell Andy, what do you think is going on. This just seems too... surreal..." he said quietly.

I looked at Edward and I sighed, I looked up at him, "I've heard stories of a place like this, it scared me so much when I read it... I lost the book now, but god I never forgot it, I'll tell you about it I guess. There was apparently a city built underneath the sea before the war... They wrote about it a lot and everything, but they kept the records secret. They had some communications with the surface, all the reports were good..."

I looked at him, sadness coating my eyes, "Then they started getting reports of people going crazy, they got transmissions from survivors where in the middle of it, they were torn apart by crazies. No one knows what happened, cause the communication went AWOL, I don't know what this place is, but hell, it reminds me of that story... But hey, it's just a story right? Something to scare people, maybe..."

I looked up and took a breath, "God, Ed, this is crazy man, this just gives me the creeps, if the pressure hasn't killed us and the irradiation hasn't killed us... Okay, man, I would ask you to kill me now and ask questions later, but, well, I don't know, it just feels so peaceful for some reason..." I looked through the glass at the front of the pod and I saw a multi-coloured fish swim past, directly past it was a giant fish, it swallowed the smaller one and I shuddered.

Edward

"That sounds screwed up man, but it was just a story, right? It wasn't... real, was it? Ah, damn it! We gotta stay strong man. Try not to let it scare you, if it does, just scare it back." Edward muttered, remembering what Stockholm told him one night when raiders were sneaking around the town.

Flashback

They were running around the gate, yelling and screaming, occasionally firing a shot up at the platform they were standing on. A 10 year old Edward was hiding behind a chair, crying as he tried to think of other things.

"C'mon Eddie! You have to be quiet so they can't know they are getting to us!" muttered Stockholm as he tried to find a raider through his scope, but it was impossible because of the lack of light.

"But their scaring me Stockhom!" sobbed back Edward.

"Try not to let it scare you, if it does, just scare it back."

Edward was snapped out of his memory when he saw Andy looking out of the window at some fish. Not mutated fish. Just... normal fish. Though is it really normal when the majority is mutated?

"No way?!" he muttered, "how the hell can there be non-mutated fish down here? Something is wrong, very wrong..."

I shook my head, "Ed, this is past wrong, this is completely screwed up, this shouldn't be happening, there shouldn't be technology that can take us underwater even... We should be dead, hell, how is this thing even moving by itself? Their'd have to be something on the receiving end of where this is going..." I looked up suddenly, "Oh my god, no way, their is no freaking way in hell! Not a chance, goddamit, I didn't think of that..."

I looked at Ed and I shook my head as he opened his mouth, I quickly sat down and put my back against the side of the pod. I closed my eyes, I took a breath, I immediately erased my mind at my thought, I opened my mouth, I whispered out, "No, their won't be a thing alive when we get there... Theirs nothing alive... Nothing, godamit get your head together Andrew!" I hit myself in the side of the mouth, I grimaced and looked at the others.

I shook my head again and I closed my eyes, I remembered the full extent of the story and I felt my breath get away from me. I immediately felt my mind go completely crazy, I wished that we'd never come down in this pod...

Edward

"Oh hell no! There better not be some ugly ass freak screwing with us down there! Boys, take point at the door, we might be expecting a... greeting when we arrive." Edward said.

He leaned down and grabbed a hold of Andy, shaking him.

"Are you going to be okay man? Do you need some meds? We'll take care of this, they can't take us down, brother. What is it?" he asked, getting more anxious as time went on. He pulled out his pistol, preparing for the worst in this 'Cloud Nine'.

I looked up at Edward and I just gasped, I felt sweat pouring over my body, "Ed, oh my god Ed... Man, this was a mistake... God, I must be going crazy to believe those stories... Ed, if the stories I heard are true and this is the same place, I don't think we'll make it back alive... The only good thing about those stories were the scientific discoveries they made apparently..." I gasped, I looked at Ed and I gasped.

I quickly grabbed some meds out and injected a couple into my arm, I felt the things that were binding me to reality slip up a bit and I felt better. I took a breath and sat there, I kept my eyes closed, I tried to calm down.

Edward

Andy was a real mess by this point, so Edward left him to come down and walked over to Kristen.

"Mam, I don't like this. Andy is freaking out because of some story he read, and now he is sedated. I have a few guys at point near the door but Andy is convinced we are not going to survive. I trust Andy, and I also know that something feels... not right! Is there anyway you can make the pod go back to the surface? Because the caps from this job aren't enough to make deaths necessary, in my opinion. Lets, stop this, and go home." he said to her, in a agitated yet soft voice as to not scare off the others...

Darius sat with his katana on his lap, an indifferent look on his face during Edward and Andy's conversation. He peered out the window and watched the many mutated fish pass by, their ecosystem obviously damaged due to a couple hundred years of forced evolution. Everyone seemed to wonder why they weren't being crushed to death at this depth, and Darius had a few ideas of his own.

He'd read about pre-war submarines that could do the same thing due to how they were shaped. It was either that, or it was made of some sort of hyper-resilient metal, or a mixture of lesser ones that created a similar effect. The pod was moving at relatively fast speeds yet Darius hadn't spotted anything resembling a Vault-Tec facility, peering through the windows and seeing only deep blue in the distance.

Wherever they were going was far, far below the Wasteland and therefore not affected by it's volatile inhabitants. If there was loot to be had, they'd be the first to have it, of course there was another side to that coin. If others had known about some sort of underwater facility or "city", it would be guarded by them and it's resources selfishly hoarded.

They hadn't encountered so much as a radroach so far, so that was improbable. Eventually Darius stopped pondering on the "What If's" of the situation and waited for the pod to come to a halt. If he started filling his mind up with possible scenarios it'd end in only failure, as his grandfather had taught him. The old man had a quote he'd pound into young Darius everyday that went something like "A plan is just a list of things that don't happen.", and because of that quote Darius had never wasted time pondering things he couldn't possibly predict. By acting on instinct alone and not relying on a preset of "What If's", he had managed to survive infallible odds.

Hopefully this would be a simple vault job like the others he'd been on. Cut down a few rebellious stragglers, suppress any security force they had and move on to the goods, but something told him this would be different. Be it the means of travel they were using or the fact that they had no legitimate information on what to expect, something was almost certainly going to be different.

Harley activated the base defenses as the rest of the group in the truck rumbled out of the base. He watched the truck roll away, then looked over at the bike. Walking towards the bike, he couldn't help but smile like an excited kid. He took his time, putting his Kevlar plated Leather pants over his jeans, he didn't need to rush as he would easily catch up to the truck.

He left his Kevlar plated Leather jacket in his home-made 'throw-over' saddlebags. He kept all his belongings in them and kept it with him at all times, slung over his right shoulder. He draqed the saddlebags over the bike behind the seat and threw his leg over the machine, and sat on it with pride. He thought of himself as quite the cowboy, along with his western style revolver and the steel horse he rode.

After putting his sunglasses on, he flicked a switch, pressed a button and the bike fired to life. A few revs from the engine told him the bike was ready to go, he pulled the clutch, kicked it into gear and took off. Within a few seconds he was sitting comfortably behind the truck, giving the bike a few loud revs to let them know he was there.

After a quite long, very enjoyable ride, the team had reached their destination. The truck came to an abrupt halt and Harley rode the bike around to the front of the truck, and after a few loud roars the bike's engine became silent. Harley stood up and picked up his saddlebags, slinging them over his shoulder as the team dismounted to truck, and proceeded to load the bike on the back.

Harley smiled at the group to say 'hi all', and pulled his black Ruger Super Blackhawk revolver from his bag, and then a box of bullets. Harley had to load his gun, and he enjoyed doing it because it required patience. The revolver wasn't like most common revolvers as to load and reload you had to slide one bullet into a hole into the cylinder at a time, rotate the cylinder and put in the next, and rotate again, until it had a full cylinder loaded. To unload used shells, you had to do the same thing, rotate the cylinder and let the shell fall out until the cylinder is empty.

It took about five minutes to load the six bullets into the gun, while the team got ready to go into the pod. When the gun was loaded, he spun the cylinder *click, click, click, click, click, click* until it stopped *click*, god he loved that sound. If there were any sound in the world he loved more than anything else, it was the sound of a revolver's cylinder spinning.

The group headed into the pod and it started heading down, down, down, very far down.

I started shaking my head, I felt tears come to my eyes, I felt like I was crazy, I started muttering to myself, loud enough for the others to hear though, "Giant metal men, drills for arms, giant guns that pierce anything, crazy people with hooks instead of hands, people ripped apart in a gleeful rage... Oh my god, oh my god, please let this not be that place. Oh my god, oh my god..." I felt my mind snap and I took a breath.

I got up and I took a breath, I looked at the others and I shook my head, trying to clear my head, "I'm sorry, please, just ignore me, I'm wrong okay? This isn't real, it won't be real, we'll just go down to this place, maybe get some tech, find a nice place and that'll be it... Nothing bad'll happen, I hope..." I remembered watching some security footage, on an old terminal that surprisingly ran out of power after I watched the one video on it.

I remembered the man get pinned up against a pod like the one we were in, the thing in front of him dug it's claws into this body, he spurted blood everywhere... I shuddered, I quickly sat down in one of the seats.

Luke had remained quiet during his two superiors conversation, but thier fear and negetivitey was starting to annoy him." Would you two listen to yourselfves, your like scared children. We have no idea of the tech these guys posessed, maybe this metal is different to that on the surface. And since when were the two of you scared of a few crazy vault dwellers, your two of the best in this group get an grip and grow some nuts." Lukes tone sounded relaxed but had a tinge of anger intoned by his thick Irish accent.
Luke had been captivated the moment the pod had plunged down into deep blue waves, the luminosity from above contrasted with the blackness of the sea bed in a beutifull harmony of light in eternal combat with dark, schools of fish tore past in colours Luke had never dreamed of after a life of the dull brown of the wastes. Luke could feel something as if the vault bellow was calling him down " Come, Come and stay in Cloud Nine were the walls are paved with gold and rubys fall from the sky." But behind this mental voice was something forebodeing, as if the vault was some huge spider's web drawing in a whole swarm of flies.
Luke looked down at his pistols, the blue light of the sea dappleing on the sterling silver of the ancient weapons, he had known the moment he had seen them bouncing at Eulogey Jones belt that he had to have them. They had saved him imnumerable times while he was finding his new family.
Luke had felt at home for the first time in his life with this gang of mercenaries, they were the only ones who had ever cared for him. His father used him and his quick mind and fingers as a cap macheine and so had everyone else he had come into contact with, until he had found them, all they asked of him was his friendship nad help. He was happy to serve them.
Luke found himself praying for his friends saftey for the first time in years, something was down there.

"Stand Down Lieutenants!" Kristen said angrily she didnt like them scaring the other troops, maybe they should have left them back at the base, it seems like they are going crazy and only 3 miniutes, she was regreting promoting them to LTs now but it was too late, she walked over to Luke, and whispered in his ear.

"I want no Mistakes Luke, and i see two big ones waiting to happen over there" she said gesturing to the LTs.

She immediately stood erect and faced around to the control station of the SeaSphere and opened the panel up, it seemed as though they used water as a conductor to transport electricity to power different sections of the small pod, it was an ingenious form of electrical wiring that could be halted by evaporating the water, she pulled out her Multi-Tool and started working on the system, after a few miniutes of tinkering she opened up the control port and started her work.

"It seems as though they are using a Tri-Layered Depressurisation system, it keeps the oxygen at a nominal level to stop us from dying, nothing is out of the ordinary here gentlemen, basic science. The metal in this is a multipart reoxidized brass and steel framework, with power going through copper wire at the core with a water conduction lubricant, if i increase the voltage we should go a bit faste..."

As she clicked a switch over the pod started racing faster, they were almost in a vertical drop, but slowly it started to go to a horizontal slide, the deeper and deeper they went the less and less you could see the affects of the great war, no radiation and no destruction pure bliss, she continued speeding up the pod untill they were traveling atleast 250 kilometers per hour, the tri-chamber system prevented motion sickness aslong as you kept your eyes foreward.

Kristen brought down the main screen again and told everyone to sit down relax and watch the propaganda about the wonderous city of Cloud Nine, ironic really Cloud nine was underwater. Kristen continued to screw around with the controls of the pod, according to its inbuilt tracking systems it would take atleast another 3 hours to get to cloud nine even at their current pace so kristen decided to sit back, relax and watch some propaganda for a while.

Edward

He listened to Kristen and was angry. Andy obviously knew something about this place and no one would listen to them.

"Show some respect Luke." he grunted, "Andy knows something. Something is wrong about this place, trust me. So when it hits the fan and we are isolated, a hundred miles under the sea, being slaughtered by something far beyond us, don't come crying to me. I'm in to raid this place for all its worth, but if something with bigger and better guns is down there. Well, hell, just don't put your greed before our survival. Kristen, you know you rely on me, but one of the things that makes me a good soldier is that I think things through, and don't do kamikaze's. Lets just keep our heads on till we get down there, eh?"

Edward flicked the safety back on on his .357, after he was told that there was three hours until they arrived, and took a seat. He knew that Kristen didn't trust him now, and he had to earn that trust back. He needed these guys, they were his... family.

He still didn't think they should be going down there, but he kept quiet. Instead, he chose to clean his guns and change out of his combat gear, before taking a seat. The seat was kind of far forward, and he was uncomfortable, so he reached around to the back of the seat and groped for a lever or something, trying to set it back a bit. Instead he pulled out what looked like a holotape... but it was so covered in blood he couldn't tell. He turned it on and listened to several screams and machinery of some kind played over and over before he stopped it, having heard enough.

Edward walked over to Kristen, handing her the holotape and looked her dead in the eye.

"Do you trust me now when I say something isn't right?" he asked.

OOC: And screams and machinery don't really tell us much. Besides, everyone views Edward and Andy as if their crazy at the moment anyway.

OOC: wtf did i say about OOC?

-------------------------

Thats it, i will not have incollence here, back at the base this could have been excused i want no fighting between this group! Im pulling rank edward, or should i say Sergeant Edward? Vimes you and Luke are LTs for the rest of this mission, Andrew your a Warrant officer from now on, you will have to earn your places back..."

All this stress was starting to get to her, she pumped up the sound of the movie playing and continued tinkering with the onboard computer making the ship go faster and faster, another two hours to go and they would be in Cloud Nine.

Some of the others hadnt said a word and this was starting to get out of hand, she checked her pistol, and loaded two bullets in the chamber, If they keep going they wont be leaving. she continued to ramp up the speed untill it was at maximum, any faster and it would probably go offrail so she walked over and picked up andrew and pulled him down into the engine room.

"Listen you junkie piece of crap, I promoted you because i thought you would be able to handle it, but if you dont straighten up and fly right ive got a bullet in this gun that is aching Just Aching to be lodged inside your skull, Got it? Med Boy" she said pushing him to the ground taking his pill sack and walking back out into the main chamber rustling through his bag full of pills and meds.

She couldn't take all this crap, if they didnt respond to their demotion then maybe they would respond to locking them in this pod and having them starve to death whilst they plunder the streets of Cloud Nine.

Finding the commotion quite typical among the raucous bunch, Darius remained silent, eventually standing up and walking to the other side of the pod, staring outside of the large glass window. Currently there had been no proof that anything was even alive down there, or that the facility was even intact.

A weak mind often filled in the blanks under duress. Both Andy and Edward had serious paranoia issues and they seemed to rise to the surface at the most inappropriate times. Eventually Darius grew tired of staring into the pure blue water, a little disappointed he wasn't more awestruck like the rest of the team. He walked into the engine room and leaned against a control panel near Kristen, drawing his blade and retrieving a whetstone from his pocket. He began scraping the stone up and down the beautiful blade in even strokes, tiny sparks flickering every so often.

The blade was already razor sharp but he had a tendency to do it when extremely board. Plus, the sound of the stone sharpening the blade seemed to relax him and take him back to a warm part, perhaps the only warm part of his childhood. Twenty or so minutes later he began watching the propaganda, finding the man talking had very similar views as a fairly popular pre-war author by the name of Ayn Rand. Dystopia wasn't really his cup of tea but he suffered it all the same, even his crazy rantings were more logical then Edward and Andy's.

All of a sudden Darius turned to Kristen and asked a question in a typically calm voice. "So, is this guy crazy or what? I mean, he's probably long dead but when he was alive I can't imagine his views were popular with everyone topside. Might've been why he built this little project below the radar, so to speak."

Darius sheathed his blade and replaced it on his lap, patiently awaiting a response and continuing to listen to the crazy mans rant.

I scowled but didn't do anything else, I quickly checked my other supply of meds that I kept all over my body, nothing else had fallen out. I scowled again then quickly walked back into the main chamber of the pod, I looked at Kristen darkly, if anyone was to die on this trip I hoped it was her. I shook my head, I quickly recalled as much as I could about what I'd heard, but none of it added up... I just forgot it, I didn't care anymore, getting demoted on possibly the best raiding run of our careers?

I shook my head, I was going to pop another chem into my mouth, when I stopped, I sighed then put the chem back into it's case. I had to prove to Kristen that I wasn't hopeless, I checked over my magnum, making sure it was in good condition. I knew at the speed the pod was going at, we had a fair bit of time, but not as much as Kristen had originally predicted. I thought quickly and estimated we had about an hour left, reckoning how long we'd been travelling and at what speeds.

I looked over at Ed and I sighed, I'd been demoted to a Warrant Officer, he to a Sergeant. It didn't look too well for us, for we were probably wrong and as well as that, what else was their to do? I pulled my pack off my back and I went rummaging through it, I soon found my book that I wrote in as often as I could. I checked the entry for when I'd found the records I'd tried to convince to everyone else. It seemed so real... But it obviously wasn't.

I grimaced then ripped the paper out of the book, I quickly put by itself, I got some flint then burnt the paper, I watched it turn to ashes and I scowled. I was wrong, they were right, I'd have to deal with it.

Luke nodded solemly at the news of his promotion, he respected the two former luitenents but he needed the bigger hawl from the mission. Luke walked over to his colnel to try and calm her down and maybe gain a bit of influence ahead of Vimes, there was something about his collegue, he didnt trust Luke, who could blame him. " So just about an hour yet until we get to the greatest cash cow under the sea.
You dont beleive them do you, I mean weve spent our lives killing supermutants, dodgeing raiders and killing claws and these guys are scared of some old hole in the sea.
Kristen, dont be angry with me but i need a bigger cut than usual, I started gambleing again. Just think about and please dont mention it till were divideing up our treasure later.
So what sort of stuff do you expect down here, I smell gold."
Luke was jovial as the pod decended down into the blackness. He walked over to Darius who was sharpening his rather intimidateing blade. " So Darius, you kepp sharpening that fancy rather valuable sword right in front of a reformed thief, you love to tempt me dont ya big man. " Luke chuckled after this hopeing to strike a conversation with the quiet man.

Edward

He was stunned, so he decided to take action.

"Kristen, a word?" he asked as he entered the engine room after Andy left.

"What the hell? You demote me because I have suspicions that something is wrong!? With all due respect that is crazy. I told you I was in this with you, and then just because I found a holotape I get demoted? Thats bull and you know it! I've been here with you, supporting you and backing you up since the start. One minor slip up, hell I don't even think you can call it a slip up, and you dump me back down to Sergeant? What the hell?" he yelled. He was seriously pissed off.

He just stared at her, with an angry expression on his face, waiting for an answer. He couldn't believe she would do this to him. He wiped the angry look off his face and calmed himself down, before speaking again.

"And you know I try to look out for Andy. He's... troubled. I try to humour him because its easier that way. Don't screw this up Kristen, please?" he pleaded. He never thought it would come to this...

He could feel his vision start to go red, but he chose to beat down his rage instead of unleashing it, like he normally did. He calmed himself once again and resumed staring at her.

Harley sat watching the goings on, holding his gun, slowly turning the cylinder. *click....click.....click.....click*

He wasn't surprised at what was going on in the pod. The team were an odd bunch, all different people with different ways, half the team were 'loony-toons'. Andrew was odd at times, to say the least. But at least he pulled when the rest of the team pulled, and pushed when the rest of us pushed.

It was a bit weird in this 'pod', you'd think if someone could build a city underground then they could have a less disturbing mode of transport. Harley couldn't stand watching the program on the screen so he pulled out a small ratty notepad and half a pencil from the saddlebags on his shoulder.

He opened the notepad to the first page which had a sketch of his motorcycle. After looking at it for a while, he started drawing over the top of the bike. He was adding to the picture, making plans for what he wanted to do to modify the bike. He was changing the picture of the rear suspension, which the bike currently had no suspension at all. Harley wanted to change that. Maybe he could find heaps of parts for the bike down in this place.

After modifying the picture he put the pad back in his s/bag, and picked up his gun. He heard Edward making a bit of racket, was he yelling at Kristen? Harley would never yell at Kristen, she was pretty cool in his opinion. I mean, any other leader would have probably sold Harley's bike, just for a few damn caps. But she was cool, and now she was being yelled at for simply demoting somebody. They were being negatively disruptive, possibly demoralizing the group with mumbo-jumbo stories.

Harley started slowly turning the cylinder of the gun to take his mind off Edward's yelling. *click, click, click* It didn't work, he could be heard loud and clear. So he decided to go see what the hell was going on.
