RP intro:
Spoiler

Welcome to Grayditch. by: thekettleison

The mid-morning calm inside Moriarty's Saloon was suddenly shattered as the bar's door was barged open and three men entered, dragging a fourth between them. The dragged man had a cloth bag over his head and his hands were bound behind his back. The prisoner struggled weakly against his bindings, mumbling from within the sack.

As one of the captors approached the bar, the other two threw the prisoner to the floor, causing a brief cry of pain.

Behind the bar Gob, the ghoul, was idly polishing glasses with a stained rag. He looked up as the man approached him, raising an eyebrow. "What can I get for you today boys?" He rasped at the guy.

"Shut the [censored] up you [censored] zombie. Go and get your boss for me. Tell him we captured Rennie."

The ghoul disappeared, heading through a curtained door. The prisoner tried to struggle upright, groaning in pain as the ropes chafed at the skin of the man's wrists. After a while, he managed to get to his knees."You sure that's him?" A voice issued from behind the curtain, the question obviously directed at the people in the bar. "You sure that's Rennie?" The curtain was pulled aside as Colin Moriarty stepped into the room.

"Yeah boss, that's him. We found him hiding in Girdreshade. A day later and he'd have been gone."

"Good work." Moriarty was now close enough to the bar to see the kneeling man over its surface. "Get that [censored] sack off his head you idiots."

The bag was roughly torn from the prisoner's head, causing another quiet cry of pain as the darkness of the sack was suddenly replaced by the sunlight coming in throught the windows. The kneeling man squinted as he tried to allow his eyes time to adjust to the brightness. Eventually his vision cleared and the man found himself face to face with Colin Moriarty.

"Hello Joe, what do you know?"

"Not a lot."

"Ha! Always the same answer." Moriarty turned back to the mercs and threw a pouch of caps at them.
"Take these and get out, I need a quiet word with Joe here."

Once the mercs had left, Moriarty walked round the bar and took a seat in one of the stools. He sat looking down at his prisoner for a while before speaking. "Where's my equipment, Joe?"

"I don't have it, boss."

"I know you don't have it Joe, there was too much for you to carry alone, that's why I sent five men with you. What happened to them?"

"The Brotherhood happened, Colin. We sprung the ambush exactly as planned, then they ambushed us. Everyone was just blown apart. I did what I could boss."

"You mean you turned and ran as fast as your legs could carry you?"

"Like I said. All I could do boss. They were in power armour after all. Don't think my ten mil is really up to the task."

"How could you afford passage west?"

"Wait boss... You don't...."

"Don't what? Think you've double crossed me Joe? I know what you are, so I'd wipe the innocent look off your face right now. You are a thief, that's why I use you. I never thought you were a stupid thief. But now I wonder.."

"Colin... I.."

"Maybe you didn't. Maybe you did. Usually suspicion would be enough for me to just have you shot. But I lost out on a lot of caps with that job. Caps that you are going to repay."

"What?" Joe looked around himself, confused. "Why do I owe you?"

"Because I don't [censored] trust you. You might have ripped me off and I'm down weapons, ammo, equipment and half pay for five guys. Either you repay it. Or you die in my pub, today."

"Don't really leave me a choice does it. What's the job?"

"Let's talk a bit more comfortably," Moriarty said, turning his head, "Harold," he yelled, "Untie him and get him up."

The curtain was pulled aside once again and a freakishly large man walked into the room clutching a knife. Joe flinched away from the man as he loomed over him. Despite what Moriarty had just told him, Joe wasn't so sure he did have the option to live through today. The huge man leant down and grabbed Joe under one arm and dragged him to his feet. Joe cried out again, this time in panic as the huge man spun him round and slashed at the ropes with the knife.

He gasped in relief as the pressure in his wrists suddenly disappeared. He fell into another stool, rubbing at the red areas where the ropes had chafed at his skin.

"Here Joe, look at this." Moriarty said, sliding a paper flyer to him.

"What is it?"

"It's a signed pardon from President [censored] Eden. Just read it you [censored]."

Joe picked up the paper and ran his eyes over it.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF THE CAPITAL WASTELAND.

I, Colin Moriarty, am pleased to announce that I have recently acquired the abandoned settlement of Greyditch.
There are several exciting opportunities for skilled workers within this new community.
We need builders, masons, plumbers, carpenters and other tradesmen to rebuild the town.
There will also be positions for cooks, farm hands and shopkeepers.
In return for work you will receive food and accommodation, at greatly reduced cost.
If you are interested then please come to see me at my bar in Megaton, or report directly to the welcoming committee in Grayditch.

Beneath the text was an artist's impression of what the rebuilt town would look like.

Joe looked at Moriarty over the top of the paper. "What the [censored] does this have to do with me?"

"You're going to help run it."

"I'm what? I'm a thief Colin, what do I know about running a town? You're joking right?"

Moriarty leaned forward so he was looking Joe directly in the eye. "I'm not known for my sense of humor Joe. Of course you don't know how to run a town, you'll have help with that. You are to be my head of security."

"Security?"

"Yes. At times traders will pass through town and I'll need you to use your skills to aquire certain items from them. At other times I'll need you to keep the stock of certain traders secret from the town."

"Why?"

"Two reasons. Firstly, the stock will sometimes be slaves and slavery is a dirty business I'd rather not be associated with. Secondly, you'll do it because I've [censored] told you to."

"So who's my help?"

"Good question. Gob, go and fetch Celeste for me."

The ghoul nodded quickly before hurrying out of the door. Moriarty watched Gob leave, then turned back to Joe.

"Celeste?" Joe asked.

"My daughter."

"I didn't know you had children."

"Neither did I until last week. She's a nice enough girl, but she's a [censored] embarrassment. I don't need rumours of bastard children damaging the leverage I have worked so hard for. You're going to keep her out of sight for me Joe. She's going to help you run the town. One thing though, she doesn't know about what we just discussed, about the traders. You'll keep it that way. Oh, before I forget..... You aren't planning on slipping away from Greyditch in the night or anything like that are you?"

"Of course not Colin."

"That's what I thought, but your face seemed to think different. I'll be sending Harold here as your assistant too. At least that is what you will tell anyone who asks."

"Ok, so what's his real job."

"Ha, smart enough to smell a catch still then Joe? Harold here was a bargain, I bought him from paradise falls a few years ago. He follows his orders to the letter. Quite rare to find a slave as usefull as him. Harold, why don't you tell Joe what your orders are."

The huge, hulking man stared directly into Joe's eyes as he answered. "I am to keep an eye on him," He pointed at Joe as he said this, "and if he tries to rip you off, tries to flee or tries to tell anyone what is really going on I am to kill him."

"I do believe there is one more order." Moriarty frowned.

"Yes sir. If he tries it on with your daughter, I am to pin him down, cut his teabag off and then shoot him."

Moriarty laughed when Harold had finished speaking. "He's not got much by way of imagination. But loyalty..... Anyway, do you have any questions before my bastard arrives? Make it quick before the stupid cow gets here."

"Ummmm... Nothing I can really think of."

"Good, now here, have a drink. You look like you thought you were going to die. Ha!" Moriarty poured a shot glass of vodka and slid it along the bar to Joe. "That'll be two caps."

A short while later Gob returned, accompanied by a young freckled woman. The freckles were not the first thing about the woman that Joe noticed. But after Moriarty's threats, via Harold, Joe swiftly raised his eyes to the woman's face.

"Ah, and there she is." Moriarty exclaimed, jumping up from his stool and crossing the room to her. "Joe, allow me to introduce you to my daughter Celeste. Apple of my eye so she is. Greatest hope for me increasing my empire." He stopped talking to pull the girl into a brief embrace.

"Dad, stop," the young woman giggled, though her expression showed how much she was loving the attention from her father, "you're embarrassing me in front of your friends here."

"Your friends, you mean. Joe here will be your partner in our new business venture. He's also going to be head of security. Harold is his assistant. Well, since you're all here now, you may as well set off. The first new residents should arrive in the next few days."

WELCOME TO GREYDITCH, the RP!

Moriarty's intention is to make himself richer by using Greyditch as an outpost to hijack passing caravans -- ALL types of caravans. This includes, goods, tech, food, weapons, and slaves, such that he can re-sell them to where they are meant to be delivered (as though Moriarty has rescued the caravans from some other pirates), or, to make money on their escort (in the case of slaves)...

Regarding the "faction", it is a bit of a spoiler, but: those that are coming to the town in response to the flyer, and the rare case of Celeste, are totally oblivious to the town's true purpose and are in the Greyditch faction. Only Joe, Harold, and Celeste (through blind loyalty) are part of the Moriarty faction. Eventually it will start to become evident that the town isn't making money in a legitimate trading-based economy, and there will be a blow up...with the factions fighting against each other. As long as it is IC, and reasonable, your character MAY change faction later in the game.

Current cast of characters: updated March 7/11

thekettleison:
Spoiler
Name: Joe Rennie

Age: 30

six: Male

Basic physical attributes: Short and slim, but toned. Sort of handsome, in a scruffy way. With short dark hair and dark eyes. Very quick on his feet.

Clothing/Armour: Simple bluejeans with an old, mostly still white, teeshirt. Battered old boots and a dark leather jacket. Will wear a combat armour vest if he has enough warning to change.

Occupation: Head of town security.

Weapons: Primary:10mm pistol. Secondary:Switchblade.

Faction: Moriarty

Personality: Privately Joe is selfish, self centered and manipulative. Joe will always take the option that poses the least threat to him personally. He will happily allow others to die in order to save his own skin. His public image couldn't be further from this. When he speaks, people get the impression that they are in the company of a genuinley warm and approachable guy. He is quick witted, which makes him a good liar.

While Joe is a good shot and a proficiant fighter, he will really only fight as a last option. Prefering to slip away, while others fight and unknowingly cover his retreat.

Backstory: Joe was born and raised in Rivit City, but was exiled from the settlement by the council when he was caught stealing weapons from Flack and Shrapnel. After this Joe turned to a life of (mostly) petty crime. Signing on with a travelling caravan, posing as a guard and then sneaking away in the night with a rucksack full of stock.

Stolen guns would be sold on to the slavers of paradise falls. Medical supplies to Doc Church in Megaton. Never enough in one place to get noticed, but more than enough to get by.

After a few years of this, Joe began to take on bigger and more dangerous missions. Once even sneaking into the GNR studios and stealing broadcasting equipment for Allistair Tenpenny.

Things went wrong for Joe after he was hired by Collin Moriarty. Moriarty had heard rumours that a caravan would be passing through the area, carrying a large shipment of pre-war surveilence equipment.

Joe was hired along with five other mercenaries. The plan was for the mercs to attack the caravan and draw the guards away, during the confusion Joe was to sneak in and steal the equipment.

The only problem was, Moriarty wasn't the only one to have heard the rumours. As the mercs broke cover to begin the attack, they ran straight into a squad of Brotherhood of steel. As the mercs and caravan guards alike were torn apart in a hail of laser fire. Joe fled.

He took refuge in Girdershade for a few days while he tried to arrange passage west, but before he could leave more mercs stormed the town. They captured Joe and dragged him back to Megaton.

It turned out that Moriarty was so keen to have the surveilence equipment that each of the mercs had recieved half payment up front. Moriarty is now forcing Joe to work off the money he lost out on.

And

Name: Harold.

Age: ??? Appears to be in his mid-thirties.

six: Male

Basic physical attributes: A hugely muscled, brutish looking man. Harold has cropped, black hair. Physically incredibly strong. Has a mass of scars on his forhead that resemble a roadmap.

Clothing/Armour: Black combat armour. Looks like the same armour as Talon company use.

Occupation: Publicly Harold is Joe's assistant. In reality he is Joe's handler.

Weapons: Primary: Chinese assault rifle. Secondary: Sawn-off shotgun.

Faction: Moriarty

Personality: Harold is unquestioningly loyal to Moriarty and will follow any order from him to the letter. He is addicted to Buffout, which he uses to maintain his massive stature and is prone to bouts of rage if suffering from withdrawel. He has no sense of remorse and will not hesitate to kill or torture if ordered to.

Backstory: Not much is known about Harold's past. He was purchased from paradise falls several years ago by Moriarty and has been quite instrumental in the rise of Colin's business empire since.

Skirt with a weapon:
Spoiler

Name: Celeste Brown

Age: 24

six: Female

Basic physical attributes: Short, lean, but rather busty. She has short, wavy brown hair and green eyes. Cute, but not gorgeous. Freckled face and slightly crooked teeth.

Occupation: Diner owner/operator, and Welcoming Committee.

Weapons and armour: None. She wears thin sweaters, t-shirts, and tank tops with a denim skirt, and rabbit skin boots (reminiscent of Uggs in our modern universe).

Faction: Moriarty

Personality: Charismatic, outgoing, and a natural leader. She is outwardly friendly and makes friends easily. Celeste is not the brightest of the bunch, which leads her to become easily manipulated and generally oblivious.

She doesn't have very many other skills that don't involve talking or bartering, making her a perfect bar owner-hostess but essentially useless otherwise.

Backstory: Celeste's back story, like her demeanour, is very simple. She hails from Ronto, where she had spent her life, and has made her way to the Capital Wasteland after the death of her mother, Linda. She made her way to Megaton in search of her father, one Colin Moriarty, riding on the coattails of various bands of travellers. By the time she meets Moriarty, she is dead broke and is carrying a single valuable possession having had to barter the rest of her meagre things off for safe passage through the wastes – a tiny gold cross on a chain, a necklace once owned by her mother.

Moriarty, embarrassed that some illegitimate daughter of his has shown up on his doorstep two and a half decades later, has a reputation to uphold – he digs up and keeps dirt on the locals, and they behave. The thought of word getting out that he has some daughter who has come calling for favours just wouldn't do. He sends her off to Greyditch to help re-establish the settlement, having convinced her it is really an extension of the “family business”, under the guise of her being the one to help organize its reconstruction and resettlement. He makes her feel as though this is very important to him, and that she is the offspring he dreamt of with whom he could share the business, and she reluctantly agrees. He promises her she can return to Megaton to live once the settlement is up and running – which is at a time he will deem fit.

Name: Frieda

Age: Late 20's

six: Female

Basic physical attributes: At a glance, absolutely stunning. Tall, lean, and thick, waist-length yellow blonde hair. Grey eyes, and very pretty face – all features appear in perfect proportion and placement with the others. Athletic, though not really very strong, and definitely not stealthy.

Personality: Sweet, happy, and intelligent. Frieda is a genius of electronics and electrical configurations, and able to work under extreme stress. She gets along with others well enough but, in fact, does not work very well at all as part of a team – ironic considering her supposed military background.

Occupation: Electrician.

Weapons and armour: Enclave-issue plasma pistol, and a pocket knife. No special armour. Wears a flattering, though not tight-fitting, green t-shirt, khaki shorts, and black, capri-length leggings, with black, Enclave-issue combat boots, tied loosely or not at all. She carries a bag of electrician's tools, and occasionally will wear gloves.

Faction: Greyditch

Backstory: Frieda woke up one morning in the cockpit of a tiny, single-occupant, and crashed, flying vessel. The dashboard had a number of dials, symbols, and lights she didn't recognize, and she had no idea where it had come from, or where she had landed. Upon exiting the vehicle, she noticed she was wearing the uniform of an Enclave officer, and her name tag bore the single name “FRIEDA”. She sat next to the vehicle for a time, trying desperately to remember anything else about herself or her past. After a while she came to the conclusion that she must have stolen, or escaped, from the Enclave, lost her memory in the crash, and should find a way to disappear before they found her. She stripped off the uniform and fled with only the plasma pistol in hand. Frieda stole some clothing of the nearby corpse of a Wastelander and never returned to the crash site.

She discovered that while her conscious memory was absent, her muscle memory was strong, and incredible. Her hands seemed to work entirely on their own when it came to the use and maintenance of her weapon, and her level of athleticism was quite high – both things she could only assume came from military training. Eventually, she would also discover that she possessed extensive knowledge on all things electrical, from wiring, to circuit boards, and made her way from town to town using this knowledge for monetary advantage.

Frieda was spending time in Canterbury Commons, learning a bit about robotics and doing electrical jobs as they came up, when Moriarty's flyer came with Crazy Wolfgang's caravan. The idea of settling down in one place with guaranteed work appealed to her. After settling up with Uncle Roe, she set out, hoping for the best.

Elvis:
Spoiler

Name: Jimmy Leggio
Age: 42

six: Male

Basic physical appearance and attributes: (this should include at least one major weakness)Medium height and slim. Due to him getting on in years, Jimmy is not a great physical fighter. This is him all suited up and whatnot. (shut up, it's the best I could do)

Weapons and armour: (this is limited to Primary, Secondary, and sidearm, and one set of armour/equipment) Primary weapon: Golden .44 Magnum. Secondary: 10mm sub-machine gun. Wears a white Dirty pre-War businesswear

Personality: (must include some kind of flaw)Jimmy is a charismatic and seemingly nice, warm man. He welcomes everybody and doesn't seem to hold any prejudices or racism attitudes towards any type of person. He sees everybody as equal and doesn't care whom he harms. Jimmy is quite loyal to those he loves, mainly his wife Laura and daughter Lucille, and would do anything for them. In any other circumstance Jimmy would have no qualms betraying anybody for caps. He is a ruthless man, and when given the chance would show mercy to nobody except his family and a few close friends.

Occupation: Manager of the slaving business in Grayditch.

Faction: (either Moriarty – side with the crooked nature of the town's economy, or Grayditch – against hijacking and prefer to establish a more legit economy) Moriarity

Backstory: (be creative!) Jimmy originally came from Paradise Falls. He was enslaved at a young age and grew up there. Jimmy saw the amount of money capable of being made in the slave trade business, and despised the slavers at Paradise Falls for not exploiting this to it's fullest possibility, preferring to lead a life closely resembling that of a raider. At the age of seventeen Jimmy and another slave, Laura, escaped Paradise Falls and fled to Rivet City.

Once there Jimmy began taking careers in various jobs such as caravan guard. A slaver tracked him and Laura down to Rivet City and so they fled to the Temple of the Union. Jimmy lived among the slaves for a time, but soon grew tired of them. In a bid for his freedom Jimmy sold the slaves out to Paradise Falls. He then formed his own slaver organisation, Leggio and Associates. After years of gathering a small army, Leggio and Associates, who resided at the Temple of the Union, assaulted Paradise Falls and Jimmy, after killing Eulogy Jones, claimed Paradise Falls as his own. Leggio and Associates grew into a very wealthy faction.

Jimmy was propositioned to run the slaver trade in Greyditch. He accepted, leaving his right hand man, ex-Talon Company Al Luciano, in charge at Paradise Falls. His front for the selling of slaves is that of a fancy clothing store. The suits are provided by Moriarty and a clothes shop was chosen as it would not attract as much attention as a gun store, armour store etc. The slaves are hidden in the nearby metro and are constantly guarded by a variety of men supplied by Jimmy and Joe Rennie.

Ergy: on hiatus, now NPC:
Spoiler

Name: Vict Orsino

Age: 24

six: Male

Basic physical appearance and attributes: Vict is a white male, 5'8" and weighs 145 lbs. He's lean, almost all muscle, and is average looking. His hair is neck length, and is along the lines of a dirty strawberry blonde. He has a 5 o'clock shadow, facial hair wise. He is a fast runner, but not the strongest guy ever. He also has excellent eyesight, but his sense of smell is fading, and he is slightly hard of hearing. While not incredibly strong, he can hold his own in a fight though he prefers to stay peaceful.

Weapons and armour: Primary weapon is a hunting rifle, secondary is a hunting knife. Clothing consists of some khaki cargo pants, a pair of black combat boots, and a short sleeve, tight fitting black t-shirt. He wears a cowboy hat constantly, and carries a welding helmet, a pair of welding gloves, and a pair of arm warmers to protect his skin while welding.

Personality: When Vict is new to an area, he is usually pretty quiet. Once he warms up to people, though, he can be decently talkative. He really is shy, and he is usually pretty calm. Too much alcohol will make him break down, and causes the only situation where you will see him cry. He bottles up his emotions, but tries to let them out by exercising. He used to smoke, but has quit. If he's too stressed, though, he will smoke like a chimney. Other than that, he tries to be nice to all who cross his path.

Occupation: Metalworker (hence the extra apparel for welding)

Faction: Greyditch

Backstory: Vict learned how to work with metal from his father. That one skill would save his life one day. Vict's childhood was a relatively good one for a kid who lived in the wasteland. His town was well defended by mines, and like every other child in the town he was taught how to handle a gun when he turned 12. At the age of 15, this proved to be useful when the small community began coming under constant attack by raiders. One day, the raiders overwhelmed the town. Vict escaped with his hunting rifle and the clothes on his back.

He wandered the wasteland for what seemed like weeks, all the while heading towards the ruins in DC. He had heard of a city that was in a ship whenever he stopped to talk to traders roaming the wastes. He noticed many small pockets of civilization, but decided his skills would be most accepted at this Rivet City. Once he was in the DC ruins, Vict barely made it to the city alive after sneaking around patrols of mutants and the Brotherhood. He tried to avoid them, simply because their armor intimidated him. He had never encountered them before and didn't trust them. He finally made it to the city, and worked for years there.

While in Rivet City, Vict continued to practice with his rifle, and picked up hand-to-hand combat. Because he was constantly working on problems that Rivet City presented, Vict became very experienced in metalworking. His work was not always appreciated, however, and some of the other metalworkers felt as if he was making them look bad. Vict got tired of it, packed up what gear he could, and left. He had heard of a city that was starting up, and figured that it wouldn't hurt for them to have someone with his experience.

DarkZerker (now on hiatus):
Spoiler
Name: Nick Parker

Age: 30

six: Male

Basic physical appearance and attributes: About 5' 10''. Very short black hair and dark, ominous brown eyes. Has an athletic and somewhat strong build but more of a smooth and slick build rather than a bulky and muscular body. Somewhat friendly, very charming, and rugged looking. Has a very prominent scar on his right cheek and several burn marks on his left arm.

Weapons
SVD Dragunov Sniper Rifle w/ detachable scope, silencer, night vision scope, and desert camouflage.
Uzi 9mm w/ silencer and desert camouflage
Combat Knife

Armour
Thin cotton interior, thick leather exterior body armour with a wide range of flexibility. Has one screwdriver and 10 bobby pins in one pocket at all times and a strap to keep ammo.

Personality: Ruthless, very smart, and a natural charmer. Nick is outwardly very secretive, but however friendly to keep charming the person but inwardly, calculating and relentless. He's very persistent and can track down his targets relentlessly and carefully plan every infiltration. However, Nick's OCD ends up interfering with his work and has severe PTSD, causing terrible flashbacks and torment at night or in darkness.

Occupation: Infiltrator, Assassin, Thief.

Faction: Greyditch

Back story: Nick was born in Rivet City from an average family, with no real special traits or anything remarkable about him except for the mild OCD he inherited at birth. Until he turned 10 years old. In his family, it was a tradition to give the first born child a gun at 10 years old. When he got the gun, Nick proved to be a remarkable marksman genetically. Of course it still took him years to get the hang of shooting a gun but it became his sport, going Mirelurk hunting with his father once in a while.

But as the years went by, Nick started to wonder about life outside the Rivet City area as he had never before gone out of the D.C ruins except for those rare occasions when he went Mole Rat hunting. At 18 years of age, he left Rivet City and headed off to Megaton. There, he worked for a couple years as a mercenary for caravans and when he gained enough money, Nick bought a one of a kind sniper rifle, the SVD Dragunov and an Uzi 9mm.

With those two guns, he excelled in his trade before somebody saw his potential as an assassin after his excellent skills with a sniper rifle. Nick began to make a name for himself throughout the Wasteland.

But tragedy struck when a squad of assassins lead by Nick were butchered by a MASSIVE raider assault on the squad near Megaton. Although many raiders died in the assault, his squad was completely wiped out. Tired, beaten down, and dying, Nick was treated back to health in Doc Church's clinic but the faces of his dead friends still haunts him, making him overprotective of his new squad.

He settled down in Megaton, working as a freelance assassin, trying to continue like his squad would've wanted him to. But new blood started to join up with Nick again, and 4 assassins work as a squad now with Nick. But with his PTSD from Nick's dead squad, he acts like an overprotective father, never allowing for any dangerous mission. The most hyperactive and innocent one, Katie, is now pursuing a romantic relationship with Nick while he rejects her from the fear and torment of losing his current squad.

Name: Katherine "Katie" Marx

Age: 28

six: Female

Basic physical appearance and attributes: About 5' 7'', lean and looks like any normal young woman in the wastes, has an athletic build. Katie has somewhat long, black hair that goes down to her shoulders, usually kept on by a pink headband but also bunched up in a ponytail during assassination missions. Light brown eyes and has a couple scars on her body from previous missions.

Weapons
Winchester Model 70 w/ Scope, silencer, and three magazines taped to the stock of the gun for easy reload.
Colt .45 Pistol w/ silencer
Combat Knife
Armour
Regular mercenary leather armour with a magazine belt slung around the armour. The armour has been specifically designed for maximum safety by incorporating very thin amounts of Kevlar sown into the leather. Due to that, the leather is made very thin to provide flexibility to compensate for the Kevlar.

Personality: Very friendly and nice to her friends and comrades. Katie's an outgoing and hyper person, prone to being over excited or being a bit impulsive, causing many problems for the assassins. But when she's on missions, her mind is on the safety of her squad and getting the job done. Highly intelligent in guns and explosives, making her the support unit of the team.

Occupation: Ex-Gunsmith, Assassin.

Faction: Greyditch, Nick's Faction.

Backstory: Katie was born in a pretty boring row of shacks on the north end of the Capital Wasteland, around the Pitt but far enough away so she won't be affected by the severe amounts of radiation. There, she worked underneath her father, a kind and gentle man who supplied the small village with guns and ammunition, teaching his daughter the trade. Obviously, being around guns so much, she learned how to handle them at a very young age, about 11 years old. After a couple years of peace and monotonous day to day activities, raiders attacked the village. Katie and her father ran from the raiders but her mother was shot and killed during the raider attack.

They moved to Megaton, specifically, the Common House. By that time, Katie was 16 years old and ready to start the trade. She worked for Moira Brown for a couple years, supplying her with guns and ammo to sell. When she turned 18, Katie heard of an assassin who started to spread around the area around Megaton. Although her father taught her compassion and empathy, not much of that sank into her.

Katie sought out the assassin and after finding him(Nick), she tried to apply for a squad. But after Nick saw her hyperactive attitude, he rejected the offer. Needing money, she started to stray towards stealing and looting. When her father heard of what Katie was doing, he committed suicide, not able to take the news.

When she turned 26, after years of looting and stealing, she heard of another assassin band lead by Nick. Katie tried to join again but this time, Nick accepted seeing how weak and tired she was. After giving her a small house in Megaton, Katie started to work as an assassin. Now that she has regained a semi-normal life, her hyperactive and excited attitude returned, causing countless problems during contracts. Nonetheless, Nick keeps her around as a friend.

Katie has a pretty open crush on Nick.

Backstory: Drifter was born down south under then name of Vincent Summers. He was raised by his mother Shawna,a chem-addicted prosttute doing her nightly work in the Sunset Hotel, where they also lived. One night, when Vincent was 8,Shawna picked him up,gave him a kiss and told him to hide in the closet. After the crashes and screaming stopped,he crawled out to find his only parent lying brutally murdered in a pool of blood. The hotel owner found him there, cradling his mother in his arms. The hotel owner, who went by the name of Tim,raised the boy as his own in his household not far from the hotel.Vincent grew up quickly,by the age of 12 he had joined the ranks of a local gang, and spent his nights with his friends, harassing local traders and pickpocketing the unwary. When Vincent was 14,he was fed up with living with Tim and his wife Sonia. He stole Tim's 44 Magnum,50 caps and enough food for a few days, and strode out into the wasteland.

For the first few years,Vincent's life was rough. He survived on the hospitality of traveling merchants, and he picked up whatever information he could use to survive from them. When they inquired his name and origins,he simply replied that he had none.He would sit at their campfires, eat and listen, and then be gone, like a shadow into the night.Traders on the southern roads took to calling him Drifter.Vincent stuck to the roads, keeping his trusty 44 Magnum at his side, and living off the land.He did not know where he was going, nor did he care.He was simply going. After years and years of walking,he saw a trader on the side of a path one day, feeding and watering his Brahmin. When Vincent inquired where he was,the trader told the young man he was in Tennessee.Vincent kept on walking through Tennessee, eventually coming to a settlement called Ashy Hills. Here,he met a woman in the local saloon,by the name of Tara.Vincent caught Tara's eye,and she came over to talk to him.She told him she was traveling to D.C. to meet up with her brother Gage, and would love a big, strong man such as him to accompany her.Vincent was instantly in love.Vincent and Tara set off a few weeks later.Tara took a liking to Vincent, and they soon fell in love.Vincent had never been so happy in his life. While traveling through the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia,Tara and Vincent encountered a lone deathclaw.Tara fled, but Vincent stood his ground. The Deathclaw charged at Vincent, and took a strong swipe at him with his huge claw, decimating Vincent's leg, before rushing towards Tara.Vincent rolled over,in a daze,to see the Deathclaw catch up to Tara and rip her apart.Vincent blinked back the tears and started firing madly with his 44 Magnum, catching the Deathclaw in the eye.As the Deathclaw thundered towards him,Vincent managed to load his last bullet in his 44 Magnum and felled the beast with a perfect shot to the head.Dragging himself towards Tara's body,he could not help feeling a strong sense of Deja Vu.

Vincent wrapped up his leg and stumbled on towards D.C.When he finally got there,he didn't know what to do besides hunker down and do what he did best, live off the land. After another 10 years of this,Vincent began to notice how old he was getting, and decided to find a quiet settlement to hunker down in for the rest of his years.A trader pointed him in the direction of Megaton. On his way there,he snatched a flyer, drifting in the wind.

If you are interested then please come to see me at my bar in Megaton, or report directly to the welcoming committee in Greyditch.

Vincent didn't think that sounded too bad.He realized he wouldn't be of much use,but he could certainly find some sort of trade.Excited to finally belong somewhere,he ambled on in the direction of Greyditch.

Persephone:
Spoiler

Name:
Vivienne “Vee” Winters (Born last name Sommers)

Age:
78

six:
Female

Basic physical appearance and attributes:
At first glance, one would think Vee to be quite beautiful, with a trim, curvy feminine figure and soft features. In fact, one would rarely notice the dark circles under her eyes, the dry chapped lips, or the grayish gauntness to her skin. She appears to be of an indeterminate age, maybe early to late 30’s if you had to try and pin it. Her striking white hair is immaculately curled, her long lashed big brown eyes expressive, her full chapped lips in rouge. She wears quite a bit of makeup, though this isn’t excessively noticeable. She spends copious amounts of time on her appearance, though this is in part due to the fact that she is a ghoul, a secret that so far, she has been able to keep to herself. Her body is in the process of transforming, though it has been quite slow and she has yet to lose much flesh or hair. Thin hair and a small bald spot are trivial enough to be carefully concealed with styled hair and the most advanced areas of her body, her rotting right arm and shoulder, are always covered in full length sleeves and gloves, even at rest. The skin up her neck to her right ear has also rotten, but over the years she's had new skin carefully grafted over, the only remnant of the procedures a small, barely noticeable scar.

She wears black leather leggings, tall boots and a fitted leather top. Her outfits, while cut to accentuate her curves, tend not to show even a peep of skin – even at home she wears long sleeves with gloves. At her neck lies a locket with a picture of her late husband.

She has a bit of a soft touch, is unusually weak and yet quick and agile, her movements almost catlike in their easy grace. As a ghoul, she has an immunity to radiation and ferals fail to attack her in the few instances she comes across them.

Weapons and armour:
Hunting revolver
Dart gun
Reinforced Leather Armor
Stimpaks

Personality:
Vee is confident, charming and reckless. She’s very perceptive, quick to gauge others’ motives, her big brown eyes alert and probing. She’s proud and vain, with a sharp mind and talent for repairing, jury-rigging and inventing new weapons. Vee can lean towards selfish motives and taking advantage of others, though she’s hoping for a quieter, simpler life in Greyditch. Despite this, she is very likeable, friendly, flirty and funny. When she meets new people she likes to engage them in small talk, cracking jokes and gauging their personalities. While on the outside she appears controlled, inside she battles with self loathing and fear – fear of her future as a ghoul, a future where she’ll lose her good looks that she’s often relied upon, and further the degradation of her brain into feral madness. She also still privately grieves her husband’s passing, has obsessive compulsively taken on some of his habits, like lighting up a smoke after a meal or checking locks multiple times, in an attempt to not forget him – with time her memories of him seem to fade, which she fights against. She can also be absentminded and forgetful of small details, which bothers her greatly as she sees this as the beginning of the fall. For whatever reason, call it genetics, she is also extremely lucky – always coming out of a sticky situation intact. Due to this, and her philosophy of going out in a blaze of youthful glory rather than a slow death devoid of dignity, she will often act without caution, almost trying to will an “early” end…

Occupation:
Retired weapons business heiress/owner/manager/inventor of Sommers Inc, retired mercenary
Hopeful general store/weapons shopkeep, tinkerer

Faction:
Greyditch

Backstory:
Vivienne was born into a wealthy family in Tenpenny Towers. She grew up spoiled, priviledged and prejudiced towards ghouls, supermutants and scavengers. Vee’s paternal grandfather, an inventor, had started a prosperous large scale weapons dealership that Vee’s parents later inherited. Despite living in luxury, they coveted a collection of schematics for a few rare weapons, among them the dart gun, that Vee’s grandfather possessed. Vee’s grandfather, however, had long ago become a ghoul and taken up residence in Warrington Station, refusing contact with his family. Vee’s father kept his father’s descent into ghoulhood a secret, as they considered it a stain on their family name.

As a teenager, her parents joined a raiding party into Warrington Station, hoping to personally confront and kill him, as well as take the schematics, but only one person ended up returning, a hired mercenary that noone knew much about. The survivor continued to stay at Tenpenny for awhile, nursing his wounds, and Vee, still young, grieving the loss of her parents, and struggling to overtake operations of the family business, Sommers Inc., befriended him out of loneliness. The mercenary, Frank, intended to move on after recovering, but the two ended up falling in love. Frank revealed that her parents had come upon her grandfather, but discovered that he had descended into madness, a feral ghoul. They killed him and had found the abandoned collection of schematics, but soon after were overwhelmed by an ambush of ‘zombies’. Frank admitted to grabbing the schematics from the panicking couple and making a run for it while the raiding party battled for their lives. Struggling with remorse for his cowardice, he gave them to Vee and stayed on in Tenpenny Tower, helping her run the business as they developed new weapons together. The two traveled the wastelands together, overseeing shipments and meeting business partners abroad. Vee had inherited her parents’ savvy, cutthroat business sense, though her good looks helped in getting a little more out of her business partners. While already having grown up learning to use the guns that her parents produced, Frank taught her how to survive in the wastelands.

Time passed, and Vee, plagued by the thought that perhaps her parents or other survivors of the raiding party were still alive, trapped in the tunnels, decided to journey inside to see for herself. Frank, still regretful for abandoning her parents, wouldn’t let her go alone, and they hired a group to accompany them. They took their time in the tunnels, Vee checking the remnants of bodies for anything familiar. Eerily quiet, they descended further into the ruins, their group breaking up more as the hours passed. Vee, thinking she recognized in a fallen form the distinctive logo of their company that her parents’ outfits bore, splintered off but distracted, failed to notice a glow that was coming from a nearby tunnel. The glow became impossible to ignore, and she turned towards it confused, to see a glowing ghoul hissing at her. She screamed, the ghoul threw forth a blast of glowing radiation, and she fell unconscious.

When she woke, Frank told her that the party had heard her scream and brought down the glowing ghoul and it’s feral companions, with a couple of casualties, and taken Vee back to safety. While she had recovered, the flesh of her right arm seemed to be healing very slowly.

The two continued their business together over the years, married, but were unable to conceive. As they grew old together, Vee didn’t seem to show as much signs of age, though the appearance of her right arm never really seemed to heal properly, and the rash seemed to be spreading slowly.

Over time, Vee realized what she was becoming, but kept it a secret from those around her, hiring expert plastic surgeons in confidence to graft new skin and maintain her look, though it also seems to eventually take on the rotting of her own decaying flesh.

Frank died in his early 50’s from a bad heart, Vee doting upon him in his last few fading years of fragility. She put a close partner in charge of the business, maintaining long distance contact, and traveled out anonymously into the wastelands, knowing that as she continued to grow older she wouldn’t be able to keep her transformation into ghoulhood a secret, and quite conceivably many of her business associates, as shallow, ruthless and prejudiced against ghouls as her family had been, would either pull out or altogether try to take it from her. She wandered the wastelands, sometimes hiring herself out as a mercenary, sometimes falling into recluse for periods of time, musing over her future. She occasionally uses her business contacts to make long distance deals, and has taken up an assistant in the last few years due to her increasing forgetfulness, who follows her, organizes her affairs, and performs many cosmetic surgeries for her, the only one to know of her affliction (Character sheet coming).

After decades wandering the wastelands, she hears news of Greyditch’s oncoming development and hopes to settle down, at least for awhile, tired of traveling. She keeps her former identity a secret and goes by a fake last name, Winters.

Name:
Cristian “Cris” Ramesh

Age:
38

six:
Male

Basic physical appearance and attributes:
Cris is tall, of average build, with a strong nose that looks like it may have been broken a few times, yet fine boned features. He is of half Persian and half German descent, with olive skin and shoulder length wavy black hair. His glasses hide his startling blue, calculating eyes. He’s not particularly strong or athletic, and doesn’t really look at all intimidating. He is usually well-shaven and looks quite put together.

He wears black leather pants and boots, a faded black button down shirt underneath a leather vest and armlets, and over it all, a dusty brown cowl with goggles and several pouches of instruments and supplies.

Weapons and armour:
Combat shotgun
Frag grenades, bottlecap mines
Leather Armour
A good supply of chems; Stimpaks, Antidotes, Rad-X, Mentats, Jet, etc

Personality:
Cris is best described as intense and very intelligent. He comes across as somewhat cold and distant, arrogant, sarcastic, dissident, with minimal expression. To Vivienne and the few he trusts, he is thoughtful, extremely loyal and compassionate. To patients he can be a bit cold or a bit compassionate, depending on his mood or the situation. Unlike his parents, he carries no particular prejudices against ghouls or anyone, usually. He’s a very organized, logical person, with excellent memory and a good knowledge of anatomy and physiology. His coordination is good, with a precise touch, and is also decently skilled with explosives and traps. Cristian enjoys the adventure of the wastelands, and while not specifically reckless, doesn’t shy away from danger. However, growing up priviledged in Tenpenny Towers, he also has a love for the finer things in life. He has no moral issues with dealing chems, even harshly addictive ones, on a small scale. He is minorly addicted to Mentats himself, especially at work, and drinks a little bit more than he should.

Occupation:
Retired mercenary
Assistant to Vivienne Winters, medic/doctor

Faction:
Greyditch

Backstory:
Cristian was born into a wealthy family residing in Tenpenny Towers. His father Marcus, a tough business man in the employ of Vivienne Sommers, worked closely with the heiress and her husband developing and dealing weapons. His mother Elisa was very intelligent, if somewhat coldly distant, and was a skilled doctor and plastic surgeon. Growing up, Cristian took more interest in his mother’s trade than emulating his brawny, intimidating father. He and his father never grew particularly close, as it was generally understood that Marcus had hoped for a tougher, brasher son to join him in the weapons business. When he was 15, Vivienne’s husband Frank died and soon after, she put Cristian’s father Marcus in charge of the company and disappeared to “work abroad”. Marcus and his family were loyal to the Sommers family, and kept the company under control, quelling usurpers and maintaining the business. Vivienne maintained irregular long distance contact with the Maresh family, her communications brief, forwarding a new business contact, advising for certain business decisions, etc.
Unbeknownst to Vivienne, Cristian’s mother Elisa alone suspected the heiress’ ghoulish affliction and though she had always been as prejudiced as everyone else in Tenpenny Towers, seemed to take pity on the long-time family friend in her old age, though they were never particularly close. Elisa trained Cristian as a doctor and when he was 20, sent him after Vivienne in the wastelands to be her assistant. She told him of her suspicions, and sent him to be a comfort to the widowed Vivienne, to slow her progress into ghoulhood.
Cristian obeyed his mother’s wishes, eager to leave Tenpenny Towers and see the wastelands for himself. Knowing that she had been residing in Rivet City for a short while, he made the journey with the help of a hired escort and did indeed find her there, living a secluded life apart from the other citizens. He explained he had been sent as an assistant to her, to maintain her contact with the business and she reluctantly accepted his company. Only much later did he broach the subject of her affliction, offering his acceptance of it, and assistance as her aide.
Cristian had grown up admiring his father’s employer, the beautiful and stylish Vivienne, and as an advlt was happy enough to become warden to the ailing heiress, especially since this allows him to travel. As the years passed, they moved from city to city together, taking the odd mercenary job here and there, and Vivienne eventually began to trust Cristian, letting him take care of her affairs and occasionally using his skills as a surgeon to help her maintain her human appearance.
Now that Vee is looking to settle down for awhile in Greyditch, Cris is content to follow her, and set up shop as doctor if there is space for one.

Personality: Wise, gentle soul, doesn't take kindly if given any crap, he won't kill ya but he will let the person knows how he fills. Stands up for what's right, puts the wrong in their place. Isn't a fool and can tell when his leg is being pulled.

Occupation: Bounty Hunter

Faction: Greyditch

Backstory: Grew up in the ruins of Arlington. His father was a scavenger like so many in that area. His mother took care of him mainly. At the age of 16 he met a man by the name of Jameson, a bounty hunter he played by his own rules. At the permission of Harlen's parents, Jameson took him under his wing. He built on what Harlen's mother taught him of right and wrong. Showed Harlen how to pop a cap from fifty feet away with one eye closed. Eventually, Harlen would become a bounty hunter himself, and one day he received a bounty for his old mentor, he couldn't do it. Time came to and the contractor confronted him and gave him dirt over it. Harlen had his reason and tried to explain, but the contractor wouldn't have none of it and pulled a gun on young Jake at the time. Needless to say the contractor wasn't bothering Jake anymore. Harlen Jake has had a few loves in life. Strangely, and sadly enough they would all pass of sickness, or of being shot by someone hunting Jake. He comes to Greyditch possibly for retirement, or maybe it's because he's on a job.

Name: Rusty Valentine(Jake)

Age: 32

six: Male

Basic physical appearance and attributes: Height if 5' 10", weight of 175. Black, slick combed back hair. Strong, thin physique, but plagued by arthritis, the disease passes down in the men of his family. The arthritis is as bad, but his body is more physically fit. Not as strong as his father, but much quicker with his hands and like a cheetah on his feet. The Arthiritis started at a younger age then his father's, Rusty started feeling the nuisance at age 18, some time after his father left him. He gets migraines a few times a year that sometimes last for weeks, and headaches if not hydrated enough. He wears a black leather duster, black dress shirt and black pants. He wears black steel toe boots, and black leather gloves. Wears a unique cowboy hat. Black holsters on ribs of chest under duster. Has a bit of a goatee goin on.

Looks just like Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Weapons and armor: Reinforced leather armor under clothing, primary is a white suppressed Colt. 45, a .44 scoped magnum as secondary, and a black steel tomahawk on his right leg, hidden by duster.

Personality: Hate and anger fuel him. Very little love exits inside of him, and if it does only a good woman would be able to find it, and rip it out into the open. If a good women were to accomplish this feat, it would be a struggle for him everyday to not only forgive himself, but probably for other to forgive him. He has trust issues, it takes a lot for him to trust. He tries to do good past that anger, this is a daily struggle. He thinks sometimes that his father is possibly the only one that could relive that anger.

Occupation: Bounty Hunter

Faction: Independent, would want to help Greyditch if in a good mood.

Backstory: Born in the ruins of Arlington like his father, raised there. His mother passed away at age 16. His father, Harlen Jake at age 41 of his mother's death, didn't return from a job sometime after his 17th year. He knew his dad was too good at his job to be killed, but sometimes he wonders, questions at whther he's alive or not since he hasn't seen him in 15 years. This angered Rusty. Got many of his jobs from the Pitt. He never liked the fact he had two first names as a child. So when he followed in his father's footsteps he changed his surname to Valentine. He would become a quiet bounty hunter, many of his kills would lead to whodunit situations. He comes to Greyditch for RnR, possibly find a good woman and settle down. Find a good woman that he can settle down with, and who can also kick the anger and hate right out his ass.

F8lcobra:
Spoiler

Name: Brandy Brooks

Age: 20

six: female

Appearance/attributes: Brandy has lightly tanned skin, dark brown hair just below her shoulders. She is about 5'7" tall, slender build, green eyes and a scar above her left eye. She is book smart, but lacks the necessary survival skills to travel the Wasteland on her own. Even though she is good at constructing and creating things, she's accident prone.

Weapons/armor: Hammer, wrench, and Combat knife. Black cargo pants, white t-shirt black framed glasses and a dirty red baseball hat.

Personality: Brandy is friendly, and kind. She tends to blab about the things that she has read in her pre-war books. She is a big dreamer, fueled by the books she reads.

Occupation: builder, moonshiner

Faction: Greyditch

Backstory: Brandy and her brother Ricky were raised by their grandparent, Bob and Cathy, in northern Michigan.
Brandy and Ricky grew up in the family business of distilling their own alcohol, better known as Papas Potion. Cathy taught Brandy from mostly pre-war books, as she was the homemaker and didn't venture out to much. During the warmer months, Brandy enjoyed working with her Papa repairing and or building new structures around the settlement and surrounding areas.
When Brandy turned 18, her inquisitive nature had her yearning to explore the Wasteland. She had never been far from home at all. Ricky, now 21, had traveled with his buddies and the stories they told only made Brandy long to experience it for herself.
At 19 Brandy's grandfather passed away, and her grandmother Cathy told her to follow her heart. Cathy convinced Ricky to let Brandy tag along on their next expedition. Reluctantly, Ricky said he would take her.
Now 20 years old, it was Brandy's job to set up camp and prepare meals. Other than traveling during the day, Ricky wouldn't let her do much else. He told Brandy when they started getting closer to D.C. That he would let her scavenge with them.
Her lack of knowledge and clumsiness drove Ricky and his friends crazy. One day they tried to teach her to shoot a .32 pistol. Brandy was so jittery wanting to impress him, accidentally squeezed off a round grazing his leg. Ricky automatically reacted by swinging a tire iron at her. It nailed on the left side of her forehead leaving a large gash and rendered her unconscious. Ever since that day the guys wouldn't let her touch a gun.
Stuck with setting up camp, and bored out of her mind, Brandy would drink the whiskey they had made. Only wrecking her relationship with her brother even more.

Alex man142:
Spoiler

Character Sheet:

Name: Alexander Scalatti

Age: 24

six: Male

Basic physical appearance and attributes: Alexander Scalatti looks exactly like Cole Phelps, he is good with a gun, but stinks at hand to hand.

Weapons and armour: Always carries a Tommy Gun he found in the D.C ruins. He also has a pistol he bought in Rivet City. He always wears a suit, except when sleeping.

Personality: Alex has a, very, well, explosive anger. He is kind if you are loyal to him, but he accepts no failure. He shoots many of his caravan drivers for missing a deadline. He is ruthless, and does almost everything he can to get ahead,

Occupation: Senior Caravan Driver for Scalatti Caravans, based in Rivet City.

Faction: Moriarty, but is kinda freelance.

Backstory: Alex was born in Rivet City. After he turned 14, he fled due to abuse from his parents, and he also fled with his best friend Ann. Shortly after, they got caught by mutants. They were tortured for several years, but were not dipped, and were eventually rescued by the Brotherhood. Alex lied and told them he was from Megaton, so they took him there.

Alex began to do odd jobs, but he secretly worked his way up the ranks of the traders. When he turned 20, the head boss "died of natural causes" and left a "will saying that Alex was to lead the caravan." Shortly after, Ann and Alex were married.

When his 24th year rolled in, his caravan was known far and wide. He had routes all over the wasteland, and always outpriced his rivals. He decided to go to Greyditch himself to start a new base for his caravan. When he got there, he got mixed up with Moriarty.

Starbug:
Spoiler

Name: Frank Smith a.k.a Silas Hand

Age: 37

six: male

Basic physical appearance and attributes: quite greasy black, long hair. rather pale, lean and tall. walks with a slight shuffle from a damaged back, would be considered somewhat handsome if he didnt have such a sinister look to his eyes.

Weapons and armour: leather armor hidden underneath a simple black blazer, black tshirt and trousers. weapons include a silenced 9mm pistol, dagger, straight razor and other selection of knifes.

Personality: wants to be 'normal' but comes off very creepy. is not used to interacting with others unless it is with as blade, but tries to blend in.

Occupation: barber (ex-assassin)

Faction:grayditch

Backstory: Used to be a first class assassin, the best in his field. only retired as a unfortunate mission had gone awry. As he was sneaking his way across the victim's home, the warped wood of the roof gave way and smashed upon his sleeping prey. Luckly crushing and breaking his neck, but damaging Frank's back in the process. So unable to walk properly he could no longer be stealthy within his work (and he looked down upon flat out just killing his targets, what kind of assassin can't be underhand as possible?), he decided to go straight and live a 'normal' life with a 'normal' job as a barber. After all he is already skilled with a blade. And with that in mind, he set for Grayditch.

Looks like-

@ Cobra: Sure. The pic was just to give everyone an idea of his "general" appearance. He wouldn't wear the helmet unless someone was shooting at him - wouldn't want to hide his handsome face :D

EDIT: Skirt, you should add cobra to the character list ;)

@Skirt- I saw your post in IC, it's all good.

If Celeste and Rusty strike up a friendship, I can see a conflict between him and Rennie in the future.

OOC:@Elvis. I'll edit if you want Joe and Jimmy to talk more. @Everyone: The trader with Jimmy's stock is in town for the day. Round the corner from the diner. He's carrying basic ammo, basic supplies and some junk. If you sell to him then I'll leave it for you to decide what he pays.

In all seriousness, the post was fine. Seems in character to me! Just don't pull out a gun in my Celeste's bar.

This character has been approved by our two RP Gods. He breaks every single of rule of RPing (read the 'so you think you can RP' thread) so please do not imitate him if you are going to post a new character down the road ;)

******************************************

Name: Scythe (Nicholas Minett)

Age: 35

Physical Appearance: Six feet, seven inches tall. Two hundred and thirty pounds. Muscular. Black hair dyed blond. Green eyes that look like snakeskin. Carries a farming scythe on his back as his name suggests. http://www.celebrityring.info/zoom.php?pic=Dolph-Lundgren-4.jpg&celebrity=Dolph%20Lundgren.

Clothing / Weapons: Blue combat (Marauder) armor. Chinese assault rifle and a combat shotgun. Bandolier of grenades. Scythe. Binoculars. Combat knife. Military duffle bag.

Occupation: Norfolk Bounty Hunter

Faction: None. Minor Character.

Personality:

Cool and deliberating. He likes to use violence to inspire fear and respect but is not a sadist and can be reasoned with. He is literate, somewhat educated, and an expert at his craft of man-tracking.

Scythe was raised by nomadic tribals on the plains of Iowa. At the age of sixteen, a band of mercenaries named the Marauders came by his home town and he joined up with them, and was eventually given the name 'Akron.' Through his time with the Marauders, he learned how to use a variety of weapons, ambush tactics, and tracking from their charismatic leader, Wyoming.

After the Marauders disbanded, Scythe gave up his old name and drifted down to Virginia, where he met up with two lovers and fellow mercs - a sniper named http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.hotflick.net/flicks/2008_Doomsday/008DMD_Lee_Anne_Liebenberg_003.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php%3Ftopic%3D15623.765&usg=__OmhSc6HHgrBa2FbBeYnl9uHOqxg=&h=480&w=852&sz=64&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=MS9JIdK3lUk-8M:&tbnh=105&tbnw=187&ei=MjV2TfD7A4GqsAPksK3HBA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Ddoomsday%2Btattooed%2Bwoman%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1312%26bih%3D586%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=109&vpy=244&dur=2013&hovh=168&hovw=299&tx=153&ty=83&oei=MjV2TfD7A4GqsAPksK3HBA&page=1&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0 and an expert tracker and ghoulifying savage named http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.ufodigest.com/sites/default/files/wes-studi.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.ufodigest.com/article/ufo-digest-spotlight-hollywood-comes-roswell-part-2&usg=__xOFug88sEvVshCi_Anq4jnWlENc=&h=245&w=400&sz=10&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=MeLjSJkKXcEXYM:&tbnh=129&tbnw=211&ei=lTV2TYX-MY76sAPGnZ3BBA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Ddances%2Bwith%2Bwolves%2Bmagua%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1312%26bih%3D586%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=671&oei=lTV2TYX-MY76sAPGnZ3BBA&page=1&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0&tx=177&ty=53. The three formed their own mercenary band named 'the Sandmen' and are widely feared around the Norfolk area.

The Chief Warlord of the newly formed Norfolk Confederacy, Cree, has hired the Sandmen to track down, and capture or kill, Pawnee.

Scythe is aware that a man named Harlen has also accepted the contract, but unlike Harlen, Scythe knows why Cree put the hit out on Pawnee, and he has met Cree personally.

@Surfer- That is awesome, I can see a huge conflict between them and Harlen/Jesse/Rusty, like good vs. evil in a sense. Them wanting to bring Cree Pawnee's head, and Harlen having none of it. Wanting to bring back a living Pawnee and get answers.

Lewis -- he could piggyback on the trip for the brahmin. Your char can basically do what he wants. I'm sure Joe wouldn't mind having as many people out of town as possible when he goes to rip off the caravan...;)

Okay, here's my idea of how the ranching scene would play out:

Duncan asks Jesse, Harlen and Rusty to help herd brahmin later that day, which they accept (I say later because Rusty would need time to recover and shower and what not). Then they go out into the wasteland, and finally find a half dozen. Duncan leads the herd while Rusty, Harlen, and Jesse stay on the other cardinal positions. Somewhere in the middle theres a raider attack where they all kick-ass. Then they come back safe and sound to grayditch.

How do you all like it?

At best, Frieda washes her face, and she runs every day....eww. ;)

Some houses are more tricked out than others, I guess. The Diner doesn't even have a friggin' sink.

Back on topic...

@Assassin -- I'd be okay with that. Let's see what Kettle says. I'll let him spec out the Raiders for you because I'm lazy nice like that.

Edit: @Lewis -- I just realized, James can't see the argument, Pawnee's house is completely hidden from the view of the diner. But, it is possible to hear Pawnee yelling up at Frieda, whose house is closer to the diner (though still out of sight)...

OOC: James's house is rather clean compared to some of others in town ( someone lived in it before)

edit: apart from the blood in the basemant...

I was thinking, around 6. That sounds like a decent sized raider crew, and 3 trained fighters should be able to take them. What do you mean by specs?

Edit: If you means specifications, then I don't think it would be for a while as we have a couple of posts before it takes place..

I volun-told you to do it because I figured you'd NPC the Raiders, and we all know I am abso-fricken'-lutely [censored] at writing fights and battles. S'why I only have one character who can use a gun. :(

I can spec them out, if you want, but I don't think you'd want me to play the actual fight :P
