Calypso - Security shack - morning
Harold stared back into her eyes, he slowly reached his arm around her. Calypso's dark heart beat faster. Harold suddenly, and roughly, grabbed her, Calypso gasped with excitement. He picked her up off her feet and held her tightly. Calypso wrapped her arms around him, leaning in to kiss him. Not used to men outright turning her down, she was ecstatic at Harold's apparent change of mind.
"Yes Harold, I have desired you since we met my love." As her lips were about to meet his.
All of a sudden, Harold abruptly turned, sitting Calypso on the desk next to a pile of clothes.
"What?...Harold?" Calypso said in a disappointed, and surprised tone.
"I have an idea about where to get some information on where Jake has gone. I'll be back for the other clothes once I deliver these." Harold paused and picked another dress from another package Calypso had opened. A dark green, strapless number and tossed it towards her. "Try this instead." Harold walked away, grabbing another bundle of clothes from the desk as he crossed the floor. He shouldered the door open and headed out into the street.
Calypso caught the dress, her mouth hung open, how could it be that Harold kept refusing her? It only made her yearn for him even more. Anger reared up inside her from the rejection, she was completely miffed. So much so, she couldn't say anything before he had left. She would have challenged him again, with the prize being Harold himself. But common sense prevailed, she in no way, could take him now, her ribs were much too sore. She stood up from the desk, contemplating whether to go after him or not, looking down at the dress he had thrown to her.
"It is an astonishing little number" as she held the dress up. Calypso reached into her sack, pulling out a bottle of pink liquid, the love potion she had purchased from the peculiar trader, "Harold, you shall be mine this evening. If this potion fails me, I will track Zardoz down and gut him."
Calypso hung the dresses hanger from a rusty nail, protruding from the shack's wall. She proceeded to dress herself back into her leather armor. Perhaps an early hunt will help me to persuade him as well, maybe he will reveal to me what happened t Miora Brown. She was rattled from her thoughts when she heard an explosion, she flung open the door, a blonde man came rushing from the diner and past the shack. Calypso turned, grabbing her deathclaw gauntlet and short sword from her sack. Nonchalantly, she went outside, Harold was no longer in sight.
Calypso paced back and forth, growing more irritated with each step as she impatiently waited for Harold to return. Her stomach growled as she could she Tap working inside the diner.
It would do this wretched town good if I rid it of that little wench, she thought as she pulled her sword heading for the diner. Focused on Tap's actions, she did not notice the approach of her hired mercs in the distance. She stood in the diner's doorway, looking down at her sword, looking up, her eyes met Taps cold stare. As Calypso took a step towards Tap.
"Whoa, whoa old girl" a voice could be heard in the diner. Calypso whipped around, expecting somebody to prevent her from her meal. Instantly, she let down her guard upon seeing her belongs strapped on the mercs wagon. The man was indeed speaking to the pack brahmin. Calypso skipped over to the mercs, looking over her things.
"I trust you had no problems on your journey here?" Calypso asked, she had begun opening various cases, examining her treasured weapon collection.
"No ma'am, only a couple of rad scorpions really. All in all, a pretty smooth trip" the scruffy merc replied.
"Jackson, can you explain his absence? Why does he not accompany you this morning?" Calypso inquired of her faithful follower.
"he said he needed to wrap up some loose ends, that he and my two other mercs would be a day behind us." Said the scruffy merc.
"Very well then." Calypso squinted at a long, black case, her samurai's case. She has put wax seals on all four sides, from the looks of it, someone had opened it, attempting to melt the seals back as they were, "we must speak at once, leave your firearm with your men and follow me."
The merc nervously handed his Chinese assault rifle to one of his men, Calypso gently picked the black case off the trailer, leading him to the security shack. Calypso motioned the man inside, shutting and locking the door behind her. She sat the case on the desk, running her fingers across it, staring down at it as she spoke.
"Who, took the liberty, upon himself to gaze upon my sacred blades?" She said coolly.
"No one has touched that case ma'am", sweat began to bead on the man's forehead.
"Now, now, I bestowed my trust in you and your men. I put wax seals on my case, which have been tampered with, you were instructed that no-one was to gaze upon the contents." Calypso opened up the case.
"I...uh...it was me ma'am, I apologize. I wanted to make sure my men were not protecting something that would bring them harm" the man spoke apologetically, "them are some nice swords, must be worth a small fortune, but sacred?"
Calypso walked to the corner, casually, gripping the sickle she had obtained from James, "you question my words?" She asked, standing between the scruffy merc and the door. As he was about to answer, she tossed a bag of caps at him, as he caught them, she swung the sickle, be heading the merc. Calypso ate her fill, then placed the merc in the corner, covering him with some of the clothes that still lay about the security shack.
Calypso put the mercs head in a desk drawer, she also had relieved his body of his testicals, putting them in a box. She wrote a note for Joe.
*******************************************
Joseph,
While in Megaton, I could not help but notice how cowardly you were. Being appointed head of town security is disgraceful, perhaps you can redeem yourself. This package contains what every worthy man needs, surely you can use a pair.

Calypso went back outside, the remaining three mercs awaited the return of their boss.
"Joshua will be indisposed for some time, he is negotiating a job with the head of security. Meanwhile, I shall commission you three." She motioned them to gather around her, "I am establishing a business, it will be in the old bank. It has been agreed, that I will pay you three hundred and fifty caps now, and the same upon my return later today."
The remaining mercs agreed, Calypso told them the general direction, as they were on the edge of town. The mercs set off for the bank, Calypso paced the street, anxiously awaiting Harold's return.
