Okay friends, I need to take off for a few hours here because it's Mr. Skirt's birthday and we're going out for brunch, and then I need to take care of life too. I don't want anyone to feel ignored or anything...:P

You can feel free to NPC Celeste within reason, for food and drink -- she just received supplies so she'll have pretty much whatever you want. Otherwise the caravaner will have it. If you want to converse with her you'll have to wait until I get back :P

Okay, the timestamp idea is great.I assume you two (kettle and skirt) will decide how fast the time progresses.Let me give an example here.

Skirt posts as Celeste at 5pm(gametime)

I post back as Drifter at 5:01pm(gametime)

Somebody else posts at 5:02(gametime)

How does time progress?Even if everybody posts and says 15 minutes after,it will take us 2 days to get through one day of the RP.

Get it?

We'll obviously be using accelerated time like in Fallout itself...

I assume that Skirt and I will move time along as needed. For example if everyone is milling about at lunchtime with nothing to do, we'll move it on to evening.

I think Surfer probably got it right with his time stamp of "12 noon..ish" The timestamp is more a guide than a set-in-stone clock. As long as things happen around the same time as each other, I don't think we need to be absolutely exact.

As always though, this is a jointly run RP, so I'll have to discuss it with Skirt and get back to you mate.

To build on what Kettle said,

You shouldn't get very exact on time. You don't want to have to calculate how long it will take you to eat lunch, walk across town, take a bath. It will become difficult to interact with one another if we constantly have to compare what time everyone is doing what.

Think of a sitcom. Every episode has a vague timeline, buts its fudge-able, so people that have been absent have time to walk up to you and interact.

I think it would be best if every post started with something like

--Early Morning--

--Celeste's Diner--

--Pawnee--

:)

P.S.: Shouldn't we all start calling it "Celeste's Diner" by now :P

EDIT: P.P.S.: Drifter, are your crops going to wind up eating. . .us? :ahhh:

Surfer,I think your idea is great. We should all start doing this,It would definitely make it better than posting exact time. This is a great solution because,as you stated, people wont have to anolyze the other posts to see what time they posted, and get it exactly right.

I'm fine with calling it the "The Diner" because it is simply,The Diner.

Ya know?

Wow, thanks mate. Really appreciate that, glad you guys are enjoying it so far.

When are we gonna have this town dinner?

I think I'll include it soon mate. Joe will no doubt be using it as a distraction for something.

That's a better idea Surfer, I think we should do it like that. Give a vague description of the time of day.

As to the name of the diner. I suppose you can call it what you like. It's your character's view of the place after all.

Surfer,I'll cut those crops soon.Man eating crops are a bit wild...even for fallout. Also,I really mean it when I say you guys are doing great. This is my first RP,but I really love the story and the decisions you guys have made.Keep it up.

Also,Surfer, your idea really does take the cake, starting posts like

Early Morning,Green Building,Drifter -or- we could incorporate it into the beginning of our post, for example

"Drifter woke up in the early morning, and stepped out of the green building, yawning like a lion."

Whenever we have the town dinner,we shall eat well.Good time to distract us from something,we will be too busy stuffing ourselves. My idea is that the mutated crops pass the genes on into their seeds, and the seeds grow fast by genetics.I would also like to sell or trade some of the seeds to traders, but for reasonable prices of course.Say,a packet of fast-growing corn seeds for 25 caps.

Edit*Vict, did you ever get your tongs?

Edit2*We seem to be the biggest RP besides New Manhattan

Edit3*

I know a bit about growing buds, but not so much corn and such.I will do a little research and detail my post with the process i use to ready the crops for dinner.

Spark and Flame will be in house 13. Might as well have a whole little business district going on :D I am going to just go ahead and say its upper level is ruined, but Ergy's character Vict has built a ventilation system that Frieda rigged up with fans where it would have had stairs (or rather, they will, haha) so it keeps its facade as a house, but inside looks totally different.

I'll describe it IC later.

Since Joe and Harold are living in house 5, Celeste will take number 8 since it's closest to the diner.

Not sure if I mentioned but Frieda will live in the northernmost house on the western row of 18.

Alright, thanks. :)

Oh yeah and, I have one last slot left in the group photo for any one who has yet to upload a picture of what their character looks like. This is a final call, first one who puts up a pic gets the slot!

Hmm...that could work. Or maybe Charlize Theron...

Edit: Yes, http://www.topnews.in/light/files/Charlize-Theron5.jpg will do. Frieda just has really long hair ;)

(This is why I have a star and you don't, Surfer, I post far too much :P)

Kettle and I were just talking, we agree it's time to move the day along. Let's all gravitate towards early evening/evening.

Elvis, when are you planning on bringing the first batch of slaves into town? As we're moving on to Evening you could do a post about rounding them up in the late afternoon.

Just a suggestion mate.
