Well, after 685 hours in the game, I'm done (for now)

I played as a warrior who basically never used healing or destruction magic (lots of one handed + shield and bows). I am Level 86, have 3.8 million septims, and have 67 achievements. I own every purchasable house and have a wife and two kids. I've collected the vast majority of unique items (although I mainly used some wildly overpowered Daedric and Dragonbone items I smithed and enchanted myself). I've completed all the questlines (both in the main game and DLCs) and the vast majority of side quests. Only major things I didn't do was build a Homestead house or install any mods.

I've never played a game this immersible and huge. Even the repeatable, random radiant quests flowed nicely. Any game that entertains me for 685 hours gets an A+ in my book.

There are only two negatives to the game: Lots of bugs, and a lack of challenge. Even early on you can pause combat to eat potato soup and carrots and drink healing potions. Later on, it's easy to create insanely overpowered items, with stackable bonuses. I can one shot Mammoths on Legendary. Some quests basically can't be failed-for example, the target of the Companion escort missions can't die (unless you kill them). Escort missions typically svck (although the pathfinding in Skyrim is way above average), but are totally pointless if there's no failure state. But these are very minor quibbles.

Maybe I'll get back into it again later, but at the very minimum Elder Scrolls VI is a must preorder for me. For now, I've got the last DLCs of Bioshock: Infinite and Borderlands 2 to do prior to the release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on the 14th. I suspect the Pre-Sequel will keep me busy for some time.

Level 86? Dear lord. I'm usually out of things to do around the 40's-50's.

I've never been a fan of Radiant Quests. So the Returning the Thieves Guild to it's 'Former Glory' was a nightmare.

One-Shotting Mammoths? Phew. Someone use the Restoration Loop. I'll only achieve that with a Legendary Smithed Dagger, & the Assassin Perk. Unless that's what you meant.

I've easily put over 1000 hours into this game(though never on one character), and I still play it as much, if not more, than these newer games. The Elder Scrolls is a truly immersing game.
