Well dangit

I'm down this hallway with dogmeat directly behind me then two other tag alongs behind him. Some how I have no room to side step and I can't seem to get anyone to back up. I've had this problem before but was able to talk to the guys and tell them to change formation then wait drumming my fingers till I got a break.

But this time nothing is working.

HELP!

Do I just need load an earlier save? or can I save this somehow. Game needs a button to press to force room somehow.

Um... if this is FO2, I know you can hold right click and choose the hand and arrow option, then your ally will move. Though this may not work in your current situation.

Sounds like it's Fallout. I forgot how I once got Ian and some other NPCs to get out of the way, I think I just waited a bit and one of them ambled aside. Really annoying thing in that game, if all else fails, well...reload. Good advice is to save often, incidentally.

This.

Except if you're refering to Fallout 1 Dogmeat, then there is no 'push' command, NPCs are my weak point, but I 'assume' Dogmeat will amble out of your way if you're patient enough, if he hasn't after a minute, I'd say you'll have to reload.

It's frustrating I know, but it was something that was addressed in Fallout 2, so it clearly was a big problem in Fallout 1.
