Well my Dead is Dead character only lasted 15 minutes.

It was fun while it lasted. Was so intense though. I finally did a Dead is Dead. Had to reinstall all my mods so made a new character because my old game the eyes disappeared and I couldn't fix it. I tried the Alternate Start Mod. Visited a cave I never seen before, full of spiders and the Giant Spider kicked my butt so fast.

What happened to Skyrim being easy on level one? LOL Guess I need to be more careful now. I wonder if that is a record for a Dead is Dead game.

At least it wasn't a mudcrab like I had in Morrowind and Oblivion.

So what is your shortest Dead is Dead character?

*edit* Just noticed there is a Dead is Dead thread. Sorry, just getting back to Skyrim. Missed it the first time.

We had a dead-is-dead challenge in Oblivion General a couple of years ago and I recklessly decided to take it. I was playing an OOO+MMM game and, like you, I used an alternate start mod.

I don't remember exactly how long the character lived, but I'm guessing it was about the same as yours. I never made it to level 2. I am pathetically inept at DiD.

I remember my shortest Oblivion game. My character got run over by those logs in the tutorial dungeon. She was perhaps a tad too aggressive.

I think my shortest dead-is-dead character in Skyrim was my first one, Brynja. She only made it three levels before that damned Farkas sent her into a vampire lair on a job. I still remember the utter shock when they just tore her to shreds. The pictures I took of her on my TV are dated 11-22-11, so that was probably my first vampire encounter. Argh! Well, I guess she was memorable. :D

I don't really do DiD, but I record a character's first "death", so I know how long they would have lasted under DiD circumstances. My best made it to L19, don't know what the time was. But I had one crisped by Alduin before he (I think it was my Khajiit) even reached the tower. Maybe 3 minutes, not including the 5-minute preamble (I start a new character by loading the autosave).

Hopefully those were a fruitful 15 minutes.

I've never done a Dead is Dead character, but I've had characters that lasted around that long. But that's more due to getting hit with an immediate case of Restartitis.

I haven't played DiD in Skyrim yet (because I've only had the game a short while and don't feel I know it well enough yet), but I have a DiD game in Oblivion that definitely beats that 15 minutes. I was playing a randomly designed character as part of a challenging thing I was doing, on maximum difficulty. The character entered the world via an alternate start mod, swam across a pond, and was immediately attacked from behind by a wolf. I'd say it was about a one-minute "playthrough." :)

I expect if I ever do DiD for real, I'm going to play an Argonian heavy armor alchemist. Can't think of anything more durable than that.
