Just south of the drive-in I saw what I took to be a mongrel under the bridge. So I shot it. It was "wounded dog." I expect that I could have made friends with it, and now I feel like a great big turd in the sandbox.

I accidentally did that too, but in a different location! I tried to reload but I got a different random encounter. That happened to me weeks ago and then yesterday I found her again, healed her, named her and tried to either talk to her about following me or send her to a settlement but I couldn't do either of those things. I got to heal her and then she left
