Something very similar happened to me recently. I knew a Assistant Scoutmaster in my Boy Scout troop for a while and later he got arrested for possession of child porm. It was very disturbing to me because I thought he was really cool and he helped me on the Cinematography merit badge. I also feel really bad for him because all the good he did will be undone in everyone's eyes. Hope everything turns out well for him in the end.

This also has a lesson at least for me. If you're going to do something stupid, make sure it's legal first :P

A week after I received my driver's license, my Driver's Ed teacher was arrested at school for DUI. He was 10 minutes away from teaching a class.

The world is a mess.

I feel bad for him because he never did anything to any of the boys. He never actually touched anyone and he always stuck by the rules. He was extremely helpful with life and had some great stories about film. We all have our faults, and unfortunately his cost him his job and respect. Most of the time when these things happen the [censored] accusations start flying and everyone talks about the person like they were terrible, but in his case everyone talked of him like the greatest guy in the world. I couldn't even believe it when I heard it. Besides, he also never actually took the pictures himself. All of the pictures were of kids he never actually knew. So I completely agree that it's wrong, but I think this is a very different case. I'm sure he feels horrible about the whole thing, and the fact that his life will be completely scarred by this forever greatly saddens me.

This world is changing. Men aren't men. They're rogues and cowards. Getting messed up like that. What happened to the good old days of the nuclear family?

Just because he didnt know the kids dosent change the fact he broke the law and is a threat to children. No smpathy for him, it could be *insert perfect role model here* anmd I woldnt give a damn, it could be family I would just disown, them, child porm is wrong, anyone who get pleasure from it needs to be isolated from society and thats me being nice about what I think should happen to those people. If he stuck to the rules he wouldnt be in this situation, and just becuase hje didnt touch anyone dosent excuse it, do you want t5o wait for a victim before someone intervines and seperates him, and moniters him.

And he probablly feels bad about being caught, that is all, if people felt truely bad, thye wouldnt commit the crim in the first place.

Yeah my grandfather was a great man, he worked hard for an honest days work, he was commited to family and did a few other things I admired him for. Its a shame these days I dont see people like that, a man living next to me (he moved now) was in the paper for domestic abuse, I also have a convicted pedo living in my street, most people are hoping he gets kicked out, sadly its been a few months he is stll here. I hate the way the world is changing.

It is kind of scary. My state refuses to add its police records to the online database, so if someone from my state moves to another state, the police in that other state will not know the person is a criminal. And I think the reciprocal is also true: a criminal from another state can come to my state, and my state's police won't be able to access or be aware of past criminal records. It's pretty effed up, and I can't help but wonder why my state's politicians would refuse to hook up to the database. I guess it is easier to conveniently "lose" paperwork than to manipulate digital records.... <_<

Dangerous sixual deviants are never entirely so by choice, and deserve pity and resentment in equal measure. Don't judge people who've led entirely different lives to you so quickly, and take a moment to realise that they probably hate themselves and their uncontrollable urges far more than you do.
