WERE dwemer short? A discussion

According to the size of the dwemer spectres and yagrum they aren't as small as most people think they would be, in fact the dwemer are believed to be the same height as the Dunmer.

More or less anyways. I wish there were some spectres in Skyrim. I wonder why they are not there?

Any takers? Guesses? Allusions? Conspiracies? Facts...

OH OH I GOT ONE IT WAS THE STORMCLOAKS! The stormcloaks were afraid the Dwemer were planning to take the vehkships they have stolen and crash land them into Windhelm in which a vast dragon horde with a dozen imperials wearing thalmor cloaks as their true uniform because we all know how them evil nasty imperials love their thalmor overlords would completely destroy nord cultures....Actually to be honest it could be that they just probably moved on somehow, i mean look at how many spectres are in Morrowind, most are probably just learning to move onto the next plain of exsistence

Well 200 years is not all that much considering how long they have been there...I think it's just that they got scared after they heard a really big crash(Red Year) and alarms were sent from the Dwemer ruins in Vvardenfell and the Dwemer in Skyrim heard the alarms going off and got skurd and are simply hiding in the various constructs patrolling Skyrims Dwemer ruins...yup sound theory everything is in place. FACT! Wait a sec...

It could be that once they felt the heart get banished they were allowed to pass onto the next life with no more ties to the world.

There must have been one hell of a delay effect then. I believe the main quest for Tribunal has you forced to have a Dwemer spectre help reforge Trueflame for you. If I did this post main quest there should be some indication of that I think. But as i said it could just be a delay effect or something so there is a chance you are right to some degree still. At least you are not anymore right or wrong than I am in any case lol

I don't have a save at that point anymore.
But he gives a small explation of why he didn't go. Many of other ghosts may just be ghosts.

You also have Ysgomor...(or how ever it spelt in corpseriam...) who didn't leave. (or wasn't taken)

Many beilve there leaving as a curse, (and Ysgo??? was left behind with forsight(gods forsaw) that Nerevanie would need him. (And Ghost)
Or Maybe the they left, and some still remain cause they wanted to (I'd have recheck his text, I think he mentions why he stayed)

Skyrim bring up some ...dwarf things(quest, and nother quest related with comments). I have this strange feeling we will see them again. So it may not be a curse after all.

Yagrum was in the outer realms at the time of the incident so he wasn't affected by the outcome of the mass extinction.

Nah! The Falmer would have been scared! jk idk. But they are not in all the Dwemer ruins...

I could totally see the Falmer being pretty pissed about what happened and digging tunnels to every Dwemer ruin in skyrim and exorcizing the Dwemer spectres.

Doesn't make complete sense I know, especially when we see that the Falmer are still fighting many Dwemer constructs even after thousands of years, but it's the best I can come up with so I'm sticking with it.

Just as good as any other theory lol.

Maybe the Vvardenfell Dwemer were special cases because they were so close to the Heart of Lorkhan though i see no evidence of connection other than their entire race disappearing...
