Were you Bullied?

Post » Mon Jul 19, 2010 7:03 pm

There is no typical bully victim. I never use to get bullied much but a few instances, when I wasnt really aware of what I could do to counter it. Some people get bullied and they never realize it.

A stereotypical bully victim does exist, whether or not the stereotype is right or wrong isn't really relevant, that's sort of the point of a stereotype.

I think there's a distinction I've made in my own head of what bullying is... I don't see isolated incidents of verbal or physical abuse as bullying, for some reason the world "bullying" just conjures up images of a long and protracted affair of constant harassment. I'm not actually sure of the dictionary definition of bullying but thats my own thought on it, as wrong or right as it may be.

Nope. Never. First string on the football team, and I boxed. I knew pretty much all the upper-classmen at the school. I was a closet nerd, still am.

I have one eye, am half deaf, my entire face is crooked because of my condition. You'd think I was ripe for bullying

surprisiningly I wasn't. Rather, I was out-casted. I was so beyond the physical comprehension of most kids because of my looks and the way I thought that people just outright ignored me.

one of the most vivid memories I have of my childhood is when I was in the fourth grade. I was sitting at a when two kids walked by me. they stood not too far away from and started talking to each other. One of them looked over at me and told his friend, "let's go somewhere else I don't want him listening in on us." Then his other friend told him, "No, it's okay, he doesn't know anything, he's like a [censored], he probably can't even talk."

I never forgot that as long as I've lived :( That pretty sums up how a lot of people saw me and how many of them still see me.

though I was bullied in middle school. But he ultimately wasn't that bad, I was able to out-wit him most of the time. It was being ignored and miss-judged that really bothered me.

I was the bully :flamethrower:

No, I was the bully.

Now there is something to be proud of.

I was never bullied myself, but felt very bad for those that were and often intervened. I met my best-est bud in life this way. Now he is a Naval Warrant Officer. The bullies are probably drunks on some assembly line... :glare:

I apologize for how ignorant the human race can be. I also believe that is a form of bullying.

Yeah.

Wasn't beaten up or anything. It was small constant abuse. And the teachers always took the bully's side, and the bully always played innocent, and didn't get caught red-handed.

Yep. I had to deal with bullies in school. There weren't many but it was a pretty much constant thing:

- Dylan, was a rich snobby kid. He was a bully from 4th - 7th grade. In 5th grade I remember playing volleyball in P.E. and I was sleepy and wasn't paying attention to the game. So he threw the volleyball into my face and told me to wake up. Everyone was laughing. I made damn sure his team lost.

Of course the teachers didn't care. His parents were "on the board" or something. One of his friends' mom was a teacher at the school too.

- In 7th grade I had run ins with the Latin Kings (wannabe gang here), in particular Rojilio, pronounced Rohilio, in 7th grade P.E. My locker was next to his and one day he said "No white boys allowed in these lockers."

Since he decided to be racial, I did as well and told him to F Off. I opened my locker any way and then he punched me. I started beating the crap out of him and his LK buddies got me off of him. One of them hit me and then Rojilio hit me again.

I guess it spread around because I was never bullied again.

---

For years I held a grudge against Dylan and I swore that the next time I saw him I was going to make him pay for all the BS he caused me. I have since released that grudge.

I hate bullies.

Hey, I resemble that remark, though the small thing was only true in grade school. I was the shortest person in my grade.

Nope, haven't been bullied so far, and it's Grade 11 for me this year, so I don't think I have to worry about it. ^_^

I think it's mostly because I'm a quiet person, and a bit of a wall-flower. But God-damn, I make that wall look good. ;)

Nah, I keed. I'm not that egotistical. :P

Those two kids, thats bullying. Being excluded, being gossiped about, thats bullying.

Sticks n stones man, remember that. The physical bullying pisses me off. The social/verbal bullying I say should be able to be brushed off.

In elementary school and middle school, It wasn't a problem. Now, in high school, there's these two ****heads who try to cut me down whenever they see me. Calling me gay behind my back and crap like that. They say I'm a whimpy pacifist because I don't want to punch them. Well, I damn well want to, I just don't feel like being suspended/expelled (my school has a zero tolerance policy for violence).
