Werebears in Skyrim?

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 12:13 am

I'm very tired so I'll keep this brief: do you think there is a possibility of Werebears in Skyrim? It came to mind when reading this passage in the book: On Lycanthropy
"In Skyrim, it is an old tradition to rub canis root on the trees surrounding your house as a ward against werebears."
It would be awesome if they could practice what they preach, or present us with what they've promised in their stories, assuming they aren't fiction. Any thoughts?

A side note, this is the tradition, but they may be only a myth.
A side side note, expansions are not the same as mods. It has to be official add ons from the developers.

It would fit. Most myth and legend turns out to be true in TES.

On a less serious note: werepigeons!

I doubt it.

I'd rather have mantis men and combustible lemons.

Oh I do hope so. Werebears have been on my mind for along time, I just never thought anyone else would consider it possible! (mostly because I didnt realize they were in ES lore!)

Bruce nesmith said in an email interview that we can look forward to being suprised with creatures that appear in lore, but they have not yet used in any previous game.

I would love it but sadly i doubt it. But then again they did say Werewolves was one of the things they where looking at so you never know but i suspect that even if we do get Werewolves, they will be the only werecreatures in the game.

Werebears? LOL that sounds so silly. Werewolves would be better in my opinion. Also Lycanthropy is a disease that causes a human to turn into a huminoid wolf like creature. Also the "man bear pig joke" is pretty old..... Hey how about werebunnies like the above post said :bunny:

Seeming as werebears should be more abundant in skyrim than werewolves, I'd rather see them as the official lycanthrope if we get one.

That's some deep, metaphysical stuff right there. They'd be like huge, animate clumps of fur.
