Wearbears if implemented would be brilliant to play, They have been acording to books, Sighted mostly in skyrim, I dont see why they cant be in game.

Wolves would absolutely never attack a bear let alone a werebear, they would never risk it. Wolves have been known to get staved off by wolverines who are half of their size.

edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VoKioxH-5Q&feature=fvst

But I mean, if it was a forced scenario, like the arena in oblivion, only instead of pitting someone against three wolves, its a Werebear... >_> But whatever, I'm used to a lot of game developers screwing some stuff up like this, but I just hope all in all what the game will have to offer can allow me to get past that somewhat and still get a lot of enjoyment out of the game. =P

Werebean?

"The pale moon, placid and mocking, demanded the gaze of the helpless man. He knelt, writhing in pain as the transformation began. Now laying still, without strength, he was fully transformed, and there in the middle of the road, lay a solitary bean..."

Hm, I do tend to take things rather seriously, though really it is just a video game. I just think the remaining time of development for Skyrim could be better spent than putting Werebears into the game. <_< But yeah, that's just me, and there's no reason, unfortunately, for my opinion to matter more than anyone else's here, less so if anything being a new member...

Think Bethesda's got something more bad ass in store for us than Werewolves, and you think that is Werebears...? The hell are Werebears anyways? Is there a "Were" for half of the animals yet or what is up with this?

In ES lore? Yes. Yes there is.

As for the rest of your post... Furry fury?

The only people i think whos opinion matter "more" is the Mods, Gstaff and the devs.

My first reaction is- "What..?" But if there's actually some elder scrolls lore behind it, I guess it sounds alright.

So we can't mod it. Hence, include it in the game, werebears for the win.

I loved werewolves in Morrowind. And it is Skyrim we're talking about. Werewolves would be great, but wereboars and werebears would be even better. They could have different stat boosts like the vampire clans in Morrowind! I am now way too excited about something that may not even be in the game.

Only problem is the balance of adding so many werebeasts in Skyrim. Having werebears, werewolves, and wereboars would be a bit game breaking. Especially since Lore tells that werewolves and wereboars are the only two recorded lycanthropes in tamriel. No one has really seen a werebear before and even though Skyrim is rumored to have them, most people of Nirn dismiss Werebears as a stupid joke. With that said, I wouldn't mind seeing werewolves and wereboars but more so of werewolves.

Dragons in Tamriel weren't in TES lore either, but that's obviously not true anymore. Plus, there is more previous lore suggesting werebears, weresharks, werelions, and werecrocodiles than there is about dragons.

It's a contradictory viewpoint amongst scholars and lore specialists. Read the book, "On Lycanthropy" at the Imperial Library. As in lore, some say they do exsist while others say they're merely legend. It is hard to speculate this and we can only base our own opinions of these separate viewpoints.

Where is this lore that says no one has ever seen any other were-creature than boars and wolves? I could have sworn someone even mentioned werecrocs being seen in Morrowind... werewolves and wereboars are just the only 2 that have been playable in the past doesn't mean the others don't exist.

What about a side-plot that features a conflict between a clan of werebears and a clan of werewolves (yes, like the vamp. plot in Morrowind) where your particular disease determines your side, should you choose to ally yourself with the others of your kind. Honestly this sounds like a lot of fun to me.

I don't get games for my PC, it is too weak for hardly anything, so if werewolves or some wolf-like race one could choose for the character they play as isn't included with the game itself when it is launched, I'll never be able to experience that, because since I can't get it for my PC, I can't make us of some mods that may come later. :/

To quote my further statement:

Im not saying they do not exsist. The opinion amongst scholars is this; it's hard to base whether they exsist or not without visual proof and nothing but stories and legends to back it up. Look at the wereshark for example. Scholars do acknowledge that it COULD exsist but without actual proof, it is hard to say for certain whether these werebeasts are out there.

Read my above post to answer that.

What I read was this "There are certainly differences between the seven documented forms of lycanthropy in Tamriel, but more similarities.

In Black Marsh and southern Morrowind, werecrocodiles stalk the swamps. Black Marsh also shares with the Imperial Province and the wetter parts of Elsweyr the vile presence of werelions. Valenwood's werevultures are not found in any other province. The wereboar has found both the climates of High Rock and Hammerfell amenable. As I mentioned before, the werebear is the most common lycanthrope in Skyrim, and is also found in the northern parts of High Rock, the Imperial Province, and Morrowind. The werewolf can be found in every province."

The biggest word being DOCUMENTED

also "The seventh lycanthrope, which I have never seen but my trusted peers have assured me exists, is a wereshark that roams the oceans around Tamriel."

Which implies he has actually SEEN all the others.

I'm not convinced that this particular lore about nobody ever seeing a werebear exists.
