Werebeast Aesthetics

I'm sorry to be obnoxious, but I just gotta say it: "Your entire body is beginning to tickle." ??? If I ever play a game that tells me my body is being tickled, I'm going to assume it's some Japanese anime fluffy bunny DDR simulator. I could understand incessant itching and pain as you feel as though you need to tear off your human skin or because you're growing fur.....but not a tickle.

Also, on a more practical note, the less "boxes" telling me stuff, the better. A simple, standardized cinematic dream would do nicely.

Yeah "Itch" was the word I was was the word I was looking for... not from an English speaking country...

Really.. It shouldn't matter what you want your were-creature to look like.. you have no control of what you turn into after you've been bitten..

So really.. It should be based off of a mix of both, the creature that bit you, and you original form.. anything after that is just tough luck.

If Beth adds werewolves they will do so close to the shipping date, be pressed for time, and as a result have a simple concept. And this is a good thing. I'd much rather have them make a good game and include lycanthropy, even if it is a simple implementation, than have them scrap the idea entirely because they can't work out an intricate and complex system in time. If they're included, werewolves will probably have similar appearances and colors, maybe with some randomization. I sincerely doubt however, that you will have much control over the appearance of your character should you be infected.

That said, there's always mods.

Simple concept is what I personally want actually.
This fur color stuff is actually only to make things more colorful and less boring.

I think it should.
Simple fur color is not a big deal and can mean a lot.
Making you become a kind of werewolf based on werewolf you were bitten by is the simplest and best way to do that in my opinion.
Doing all that stuff about having fur colored based on your hair and race is actually complicating the whole thing.
Also all that clan stuff is totally unnecessary.
Werewolves are beasts that hunt and kill and don't make clans.
Just have few breeds of werewolves where only difference is fur color and end of story.
White werewolf, gray werewolf, brown werewolf and black werewolf.
Will add a lot to diversity and will make werewolves look less like clone army.

I liked Bloodmoon werewolves a hell of alot. In fact, it's how I picture werewolves all the time now.

But yeah, I'd like werewolves to have different coloured fur.

Same here given that Bloodmoon werewolves looks the best for me and I don't really care for the 'bigger wolf' werewolves common in many works of fiction. It would also be nice if there was different clans as well but I do have to doubt clans will be in the final product. Perhaps DLC for vampire and werewolf clans with different breeds of werewolf.

This thread is about werebeasts, true, but not if they should return or not, what bonuses will they give and that stuff.
This thread is only about how should they look.
Anyway, were you satisfied how werebeasts looked in previous games and if no, what do you think how should they should look?
Should they look more like a beast or more like a human, should they have tail or not and that sort of stuff.

I personally liked how werewolves looked in Bloodmoon expansion.
They looked like a wolf (and not like a cat in the movie Underworld, even though it's a good movie, or a starved mutt without a tail in Harry Potter) with human traits (instead of just being a big wolf), were able to travel on two and four legs and really looked natural.
Only two things I would personally change is that they are a bit bigger (not much, just a bit so they look more intimidating) and that you can choose color of fur.
Possible colors:
- Grey
- White
- Brown
- Black

For werebears, if they are in game, I like how they looked in Diablo2.
It would be cool if you could also choose color of your fur (so you can be a werepanda! :D).
Possible colors:
- Brown
- White
- Black

(Werepandas are an obvious joke. :P)

For deciding on your fur color, I would personally prefer if you become a werebeast breed based on witch werebeast breed bit you, but there is also this version:

Your thoughts?

Do you even KNOW that werebeasts will be in skyrim?
No. You don't. This annoys me that you make a thread for it. Though, if there ARE then I don't really think you should be able to. It should take up as least space as possible, there are much more things I would want than seeing what color your werewolves eyes are...

Actually, yes I do.
I gave Todd a blwjob so he confirmed it to me that they will be in.
There... happy?

Anyway, what's wrong with discussing about how should they look?
These are forums, people discuss stuff all the time.
Look at that thread that has 9 sequels talking about the vampires and werebasts stuff for example.
And yes, you should be able to choose the color of your fur.
Please, if you are just going to give this troll comments on my threads, then don't comment at all.
Only because they make you able to choose fur color of your werebeast form, it doesn't mean that they will cover other aspects properly.
They are not idiots you know.

I like the idea of a race menu popping up the first time you change. Simple and pleases everyone, well almost. Of course if there is pack some other werewolf could dye your fur for you. :P Anyways I hope they build off of Bloodmoon's model.

Yes, the Werewolves in Bloodmoon were beautiful. They had the presence of 'werewolf' without looking overly evil/monstrous. Even with all the other monsters roaming the world they looked like beast (à la man-beast) you would see running in a forest.

True.
Lot of werewolves actually look like demons and are made stupidly evil.
In Bloodmoon, they were made perfectly.
Maybe only increase their model size a bit, but just a bit.

Woahh, so wolves are evil because they are hungry and eat people? We must be evil too because we eat chickens.

/sarcasm.

But yes, they could be a bit bigger. But I like the werewolf look in Bloodmoon.

For example, both a black cat and orange-white cat have "pink" skin underneath, despite the differing melanin levels within the strands of hair. If anything, it should be based on your natural hair colour, although the game has no way to determine that if you choose a very strange colour (like neon fuchsia or cyan) unless you are assigned a "most common hair colour" based on aforementioned race.

Actually sometimes the skin color does match the fur. Most black cats have black noses for example. A tiger's skin also has pigmentation patterns matching the fur stripes. It's not always like this, but it's certainly not unusual.
