Werewolf: Pirates of the Caribbean

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:22 am

Name: "Father" Pierre Simon
Age: 23
Build: Not very tall or large, but somewhat athletic.
General Physical Description: Green eyes, brown hair, wears priest robes and a crucifix, very attractive
Occupation on Board: "Traveling preacher" when he is on land, really a spy.
Relationship to the Captain: Indifferent, to him the Captain is more of a resource than a person.
Possessions: Holy Bible, paper, a few gold coins, rusty dagger, walking stick
Personality: Enjoys mocking the crew mates with a vocabulary that they do not understand, acts very virtuous at times but that is only because of the guilt he feels for his sins, sadistic when it comes to seeing sinners suffer, acts like a gentleman around when but that is only so he can get with them.
Hobbies: Seducing women, reading, listening to confessions
History: Born to a religious family, he never really fit in with them. Was able to become a well respected member of the Church, but suffered sudden impulses to commit sins. He eventually got caught stealing and committing fraud. He was cast out instead of executed due to his status. Met the Captain in a bar and offered to work for him. His looks and education allowed him to distance himself from the average pirate and because of this he is able to scout out a town before the pirates make a move.

Ok Fighters, here is my profile with updated personality traits.

Name: Santiago Ruiz
Age: 33
Build: 6' 2", about 225 pounds. Muscular and fairly imposing, however not outrageously stacked.
General Physical Description: Has dark brown hair and hazelnut eyes. Wears green canvas pants as well as as a thick, white cloth shirt and a thick pair of black leather boots. Has wound burlap necklace. Hair is messy and long, slightly shorter than neck length. Also has some thick 5 o'clock shadow.
Occupation on Board: Prison keeper
Relationship to the Captain: The two barely know each other.
Possessions: Musket pistol, long sword, pouch of black power and shot, ring of prison keys, and glasses that he keeps for reading.
Personality: Santiago is a very quiet person. Because he spends all day and much of the night keeping guard in the prison quarters he doesn't have a chance to socialize with the crew, however he prefers it that way. He is a pleasant person and does enjoy company, though does not seek it out. He has had to get physical with the prisoners, however doesn't enjoy doing it if he can avoid it. He handles minor pressure well, though once too much has been unloaded on him he can crack from the strain. Because of his gentle nature he is not the most adept at forming groups.
Hobbies: Due to the naturally dull nature of guarding the prison, he keeps himself busy reading one of the many books he keeps in the prison quarters. When the ship docks at port, he will trade his books in for new ones so that he always has a constant supply. Sometimes he will leave his shift to sneak a pint of rum from the dining quarters, almost always after the rest of the crew has drunk themselves into a stupor.
History: Santiago was born to a cartographer father who's wife died shortly after childbirth. He learned how to read from a relatively young age (in comparison to most of the time who had no idea how to read), which influenced his love of reading. His father died from tuberculosis when Ruiz was 16 years old. Out of sheer misery from the shock of his father's death, Ruiz went to drink at a local tavern, and while there overheard a number of pirates discussing their recent plunders. Because he had no idea what to do with his future, he decided to inquire with them about joining the crew. He was brought before the captain, who then decided that he would be the prison keeper due to his already impressive physical prowess. Ruiz protested, insisting that his talents would be better suited to ship navigator. The captain told him that he may reconsider Ruiz' position in the future, but would only accept him as the prison guard. Ruiz accepted, and to this day has never asked to be moved to navigator. He enjoys the privacy and time that his position offers.

Extending the deadline by an hour in the hope it gets 1 or 2 of the last profiles in. Will not wait longer though.

Name: Mijen Iteles
Age: 29
Build: Strong, but not near the build of the pirates, Average height
General Physical Description: Brown Eyes, Brown hair, and bloodstained brown clothes.
Occupation on Board: Ship's Physician
Relationship to the Captain: Neutral, as long as he gets paid, his opinion is that the captain is great.
Possessions: A bonesaw, small knife, pistol, a hidden stash of booze, several dirtied cloths
Personality: He gets along well with the crew, when times are good. Otherwise he can be a bit grumpy, and might not be so careful with his medical procedures. You'll know he's depressed if he dips into his private booze store. Not particularly loyal and will switch sides if it seems more advantageous to him.
Hobbies: He's known to gamble some with the crew when spirits are high. Otherwise, you can usually find him carving something out of scraps of wood.
History: Mijen was formerly on another ship, The Glib Sail, which was boarded by Captain James. Seeing as he had no physician currently(and they were quite handy in his line of work), he offered Mijen a position. His former crew glared at him all the way to the market, but Mijen wasn't particularly upset about it. Better a doctor to a pirate than a slave. What's more, the captain seemed to pay better, clearing any doubt whatsoever from his mind.

not creating a horrible character is somewhat challenging right now.

I couldn't help myself.

If people don't end up sending you PMs Fighters, will they be excluded from the game? Could you explain why exactly they need to send PMs anyway?

No they won't. Flood control on PM's makes sending Role PM's a pain. If everyone makes one to me when they play I can just reel off the pm's as flood control doesn't matter within conversations/

The PMs make it much easier on the host. There's a time limit on sending PMs and it makes the initial setup and nightly PMs pretty tedious otherwise.

Ok. Sign up is now officially closed.

Role's have been rolled. PM's are to be written and then we can start to think about getting started.

Was the profile ok? I think I left him exploitable enough. You really shouldn't exploit Mijen Iteles though. It's not appropriate.

Advice: When you're running late for something never try and turn your radiator on for the first time in 3 months. Spewing of dirty water will require you to:

1) Have to spend lot's of time repairing it
2) Spend lot's of time trying to dry your floor
3) Shower
4) Be forced to vacate room.

The write-up is done as are most of the PM's for roled characters it's just the boring innocent one's I need to finish.

Yeah you're in. I have 3 PM's left and then a few things to finalise. My creativity is pretty much dead though, so the last few PM's are going to be crap I'm afraid.

that makes sense. You had more this time, so it was probably harder to make more unique ones. Just look at it as your game is getting popular!

More likely numerical order, so you're still up the creek. You can still threaten a nuts-kicking, but you'll know that you'll only have yourself to blame for not hopping onboard sooner. Slacker.
