no werewolfs confirmed

Post » Tue Oct 18, 2011 2:19 am

that's kinda how I feel, my hype for skyrim was coming from, maybe there in can't wait to play and find out...

I'm hoping this site is wrong or they said that to throw people off and make it that more of a surprise when you come across a werewolf.

I feel you...well actually i do not since that would be somewhat "awkward" but i understand that many will feel a bit sad that werewolves will not be in Skyrim (just yet)!

To be honest i seriously did not expect this!

I was not expecting this either, and when I said the game seems hallow I mean the game seems like it wouldn't be Skyrim without werewolves. Maybe they have confirmed werewolves are not in but what if werebears are in.

Someone tweet pete with this article, we'll probably at least get told whether we should trust it.

I don't have a twitter account or facebook so someone else is going to have to do it.

I just wish they didn't sit on it for so long, hinting and smiling about it with "You'll have to play the game" and "You'll see" being said every time somebody asked. Either they were really having a hard time fitting it in, or....they had it in, and decided it would be best to keep it out and sell it to us as DLC to get more money.

Kinda reminds me of Oblivion.

Why would they not just give us a no rather than wait until a couple of weeks before it comes out and then say no they aren't in? over the last few months they kept saying stuff like just wait and see or we don't want to ruin the whole game. Why would they say stuff like that then turn around and say they aren't in? :sadvaultboy:

Some random belgian website no one has ever heard of.....i dunno if this website can really be considered reliable, i mean if they finally gave the go on announcing no werewolves i'd think they'd have Todd or Pete announce it.

Is this a big surprise for ANYONE with half a brain?
They said from the start that they were playing with the idea, but it probably wont be in the game.

I can definitely understand this decision, and who knows, maybe they were trying to get werewolves in but ran out of time.

Because they couldn't implement it in time? :nope:

While Vampires are simple changed humans (Or Beasts) with a set of advantages and disadvantages Werewolves would require Animations and some other stuff.

This is the one of the biggest dissapointments for me, coming in after regenerating health. Don't get me wrong, I post here quite often, I'm getting more and more physched for the game every day and I'm glad things like marriage, perks and dual wielding have been included so I'm certainly no naysayer. But why on earth leave werewolves out? They've been working on the game since Oblivion and one of the first things that come to my mind when thinking about Skyrim are werewolves and mountains.

I don't usually rant but I feel the need to here. Unless the speculation about this info being false turns out to be true, one can only wish DLC does them justice and they are finally included. In the meantime, meh Bethesda...

As much as I'd like to gloat and rub it in the face of people who said they'd be in. I'm too disappointed. :sadvaultboy:

Well the warewolves not being in is a shame but I have to admit to never actually thinking it would be. What's got my goat about it is all the half-hints. The whispers of a possibility. The 'don't spoil it!' comment on Twitter. Basically I dislike that we've not been told the truth straight up. Becoming a warewolf must be a major coding, graphics, audio and balancing job so I can't imagine that this would be something removed at just the past minute. No, I think they've known all along but haven't wanted to turn us off by telling us. Ironically, I think that 3 weeks before release date will have a far more negative effect.

Still, I'm not too fussed. It's a shame that it's not a viable option, and I'm disappointed with how boring vampirism will be (they could have done SOMETHING) different and exciting with the concept rather than rehashing Oblivion, but to be honest there's going to be so much content and so much to do, I'm not sure it's as big a loss as.it first appears.

No Beast Legs no Online no Arena no Spell Making no Acrobatics no Class no Werewolves..

WTF??? :swear:

In order:

Frog legs never looked good in Morrowind.

Elder Scrolls has never been online. Most people seem to like it that way, but there's a fancy thread where you can post all your half-baked ideas for why you want to play with other people.

When was an Arena a requirement for the game? Oh right, it wasn't.

No god-mode?

No god-jump?

The game doesn't let me give a specific in-game name to my class, despite the fact that I define what I am through my actions? I agree. Imagination makes my brain hurt, too.

No Team Jacob?
