Werewolves and Spells

Does anyone know what effects carry over when you transform into a werewolf and which don't? I can tell that -flesh spells from the Alteration tree carry over because your wolf has a green hue to it while the spell is in effect. What about other duration spells such as Muffle and Flame Cloak? Do these carry over while you're in beast form?

What about potions? Can you take a Fortify Health for 300 seconds potion before transforming to give yourself some added durability? And since the werewolf has such stunted health regeneration, will something like Vegetable Soup help you out in beast mode?

And powers such as Ancestor's Wrath, Berserker Rage, etc? Will they carry? What about innate magical effects such as the armor/magic resistance from the Lord Stone, the magic resistance / magic absorption from the Alteration tree, and the Avoid Death perk from Restoration?

If so these would completely transform the way werewolves can be played and we can have some fun in beast mode until Dawnguard's universal release. Thanks.

As far as I know they all do. Stability incidentally is a great perk for wolves.

To my knowledge there is no effect which isn't carried over. I'm not sure i've tested them all (I'm pretty sure I haven't) but I've never run into one that stops. My main (my first character... a mage) is also a wolf. I tend to beef up before transforming.

Hope that helps.

That's great news, thanks. Even racial powers such as berserker rage? I have an orc werewolf character with 75 alteration and stability that is absolutely dying to rip out some throats now. Will the Muffled Movement perk from the sneak tree allow you to sneak up on enemies as a wolf as well?

I dunno about the muffle perk... but you can't sneak as a wolf anyway so it's not likely to do anything.

Berserk I haven't tested. My guy was a high elf. I'm sure it does though. In fact, I think I've read threads about it (in another forum).

Being an Orc is never a bad thing though. They're my favorite lore wise AND gamewise.. since berserk is one of the few racials which can't be replicated.

On the topic of things carrying over to werewolf form:

Am I the only one who occasionally gets a sword or dagger in my hand when I turn into werewolf?

That's the beauty of the Muffle enchantment though, you are unable to be heard even while out of sneak mode. While wearing muffled boots I've been able to walk up pretty close to people by staying out of sight... not enough for a sneak attack mind you but it would definitely add a new dimension to the 'hunting' aspect of being a werewolf. And yeah, orcs are awesome. Although I still haven't achieved my goal of making one that doesn't look butt ugly yet.

I get that too sometimes. When that happens I think all damage still goes towards your 1H skill - I've had a one handed level up once while in beast form with sword in hand. Generally speaking though I don't think my swords are as strong as claws though.

I get the sword or dagger thing all the time. It's too funny to be annoyed by. My most recent transformation ended up with an ebony dagger acting as that hidden blade thing from Assassin's Creed. Without Alteir, an awesome character, being doomed to not be as popular.
