Werewolves and vampire disease?

Post » Mon Apr 25, 2011 9:02 am

I was just thinking about how Vampires in oblivion weren't that cool and It was pointless. I want the idea of vampires and werewolves be more outspread and a focus on the game. I would like their to be cults and many quests and random vampire vs werewolves fights! Also vampire and werewolves hunters would be cool also. Also to even be more realistic that you could infect and recruit citizens into your cult. Read the poll above and tell me what you think! Thanks

Those are some actually good points. Especially the part with cults. In Oblivion it was boring to be a vampire because you could not do anything interesting except find a cure.

Vampire clans; Yes, most likely they will be in the game.

Lycanthropy and werewolf tribes; Yes, hopefully they will be in.

Vampire vs werewolves; No, a single quest involving those creatures is acceptable. But no Underworld type thing.

Want a vampire cult? check the Crimson Scars out.

And there are MANY threads on these, just like the countless theads on Dragons...dragonBORN and character customization and Maiq the friggin Liar. Please use the search option and revive the previous threads. Thanks.

This would be nice...But it might cause complications if someone were to infect an entire town with vampirism or lycanthropy...Quest lines and topics might me missed if you infect the wrong people
with either disease...I would rather see both of them placed in such a way as to have their own fully developed and detailed quest lines along with possible factions, packs, or covens you might be able to
gain entrance to...

I do agrre with on how it could mess up the main quest. The idea of only infecting people like on quest would be cool...Werewolves FTW <3

Well, since the game has a new engine with the random stuff and the NOC schedules. They might seek a cure after you infect them.

# Yes you can infect other but there is no cure
# Yes you can infect others and they will join your cult
and sometimes, if they are strong willed...
# Yes you can infect others but the people you infect will hunt you down

Unfortunately I could only vote for 1, so I voted: Yes you can infect others and they will join your cult

Bad bump Op, but on topic, i'm pretty sure i'd end up eating or maiming the person beyond recovery if i was a werewolf so, uh, no. Can't speak for vamps though...

Would be nice to be able to infect, but we have to avoid the following scenarios:

Turning everyone into a vampire/werewolf. (Welcome to the land of Twilight!)

Missing a quest because you infected the entire family.

Maybe if they seeked a cure, but then again you'll have the entire land of skyrim panicking over the cure :D.

Clans? Yes. Joinable? Who knows. Had them in Morrowind and Oblivion.

Only a % chance of infecting someone. Maybe use the usual "do you want to sire this person?" [_] YES [O] NO
NPC's that believe they will become werewolves may decide to flee the city for the safety of everyone?

Maybe villages could have "sun stones" that repel vampires during the night, thereby negating the chance of vampire villages. Or maybe there are some vampire villages after all.
They are supposed to be mindless beasts in Skyrim, so the werewolf stuff would be the more playable activity. Unless the Cyrodiil vampires invade Skyrim? The Skyrim vampires do live under the ice, and the others live in cities, so it is theoretically plausible for them to both exist there.

Not wanting to infect the local civilian populace with lycanthropy is why I usually saved it for the bandit caves, necromancer's hidouts, marauder forts, Oblivion gates and most certainly vampire dens...
But there again...No one was left breathing sooooo...

It might be pretty neat to head your own pack or coven, but I think that infecting the local populace would there again cause too many in-game complications...

Really?

Yes. Every TES had vapires, except Redguard. Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Battlespire(sort of), Oblivion also. No doubt Skyrim will have their share of vampires.
