Werewolves and Wereboars

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 8:14 am

I got infected easily :P From the first werewolf to ever hit me. I had killed around 15 werewolves before him, they never managed to hit me before.

Get Hircines Ring

As I said I wanted to learn about it myself... in fact I did :)

Spoiler
I spoke to a Daedra summoner and he mentioned that this day was Hircine's. I did the math and I guess with enough money I can summon him and get the ring after I do his quest.

Rub it in why don't ya? :P

I've never had this much trouble before. I think it's happened, with relatively few hits, to just about every character who I don't want to be infected, but the time I set out with that goal I can't get infected to save my life.

Just get a couple of hits from each werewolf you encounter. Don't reload with the same werewolf. I'm not sure, but when I played DF some months ago I couldn't get infected this way.

The towns desert when you become a lycanthrope. :(

So I guess you have to kill the innocents in your human form.

Or bash doors to get the guards on you. They are perfect victims, though you have to be careful not to get killed in one hit.

Killed in one hit? Guards can't even do any damage to me when I'm a werewolf. I thought it was because their weapons aren't silver or better.

Oh, don't they?
Sorry, I haven't been a werewolf in a very long time. I was sure they could sometime hit you. I believe I'm confused with the regular enemy NPCs. :P
Nevertheless, guards are perfect fodder when you have to hunt innocents. :D

Yeah that's true, even when they swarm you, you can just kill them one by one.

Although my hand to hand damage is just 3, and I'm much stronger as a regular Nord than as a werewolf in terms of the damage I can do.

I've never really tried to get infected on purpose before, it usually just happens and sometimes I decide to go along with it, but I have tried this in a couple of different places today. It was only after doing fighter's guild quests for a few hours that I finally just started saving and reloading at this pair I've been dealing with ever since. Probability being what it is, and if the information I've read about the chance of infection is accurate, it's entirely possible that I've just had a very long string of bad luck... or would it be good luck that I've consistently failed to contract a disease from the claws of a monster? Maybe that's exactly what this is. I should find something to reduce my Luck attribute, it's sitting around 80 right now.

Spoiler
I already hex edited my magic immunity away after I read that might prevent infection.

For the guard stuff, I've never had one use anything but an iron or steel weapon on me in were-form. They can't hurt you at all.

My character became a were-wolf not too long back but I couldn't stomach killing the innocents so I went to a witchs coven and tryed to summon hircine only to not have enought money so I got the potion from them and ran. I don't like being a were-wolf.

Can argonians get infected by werecreatures? I'm not sure if they are immune to disease in daggerfall and if the werecreature disease ignores it.
