Werewolves in Skyrim?

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 4:18 am

Call me nostalgic but I really loved Morrowinds Bloodmoon expansion, the culture of the Skaal and of course werewolves. Would you like to see Werewolves return as well? If so, how would they function? Obviously in morrowind, you had to kill one NPC a day but chances are it was a fryse hag you were gonna kill anyway. Werewolf clan/pack with bonuses for being a part of the group? Possible quests? Any ideas welcome.

Better be werewolves. They fit the setting perfectly!

Thats what I was thinking but Ive also seen some pretty sick mods for Oblivion with werewolves that fit great in the endless forests and I was a little disappointed when they werent in the game :'(

If they didn't have them, Bethesda would be making a serious mistake. They're a perfect enemy for the setting.

Well even though it would be cool (and highly likely) that werewolves will be an enemy, what are the thoughts on becoming one? Sorry for my lack of specifics

I guess they could make it like the vampirism disease and made it like in Bloodmoon where people either ran from you or tried to kill you. Also need a animation for eating like cannibalism in FO3

I'm currently writing a fanfic that would make a nice addition into Skryim...Game of the Huntsman...http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1175631-game-of-the-huntsman/page__st__20__p__17422710__fromsearch__1#entry17422710
You should also check out Werewolf & Vampire's current work as well http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1164155-werewolf-the-lycanthrope-chronicles/page__st__60__p__17420635__fromsearch__1#entry17420635

I'm just trying to think of a reason why werewolves wouldn't be in the game. Werewolves are a must, and definitely come before vampires in Skyrim, although I hope vampires are still in, and I'm sure they will be. I don't care if you can become one or not (though if they're in the game, why couldn't you become one?) I just want to fight them, and I hope they make them as scary as possible. Better lose the tails this time though.

Hell no, keep the tails. I am getting sick of these threads, not because I hate werewolves or anything( I will buy SKyrim JUST for werewolves or vampires) but because the OP can go a page behind and find an original thread made for this sort of topic. Seach people search!

Actually my morrowind game bugged up as soon as I entered the mead hall and was supposed to encounter my first werewolf. I heard the roars or growls or whatever but entered and life was carrying on as normal. I ended up trying out my friends werewolf character and thats how I know about em. Im Definitely a nord at heart, been one since Morrowind and itll feel a lot like coming home when 11-11-11 rolls around :foodndrink:

Im neutral on the tails but I definitely think "were-khajiits" should have tails and possibly a different, cat like form as opposed to the wolf. Idk, like a big cat.
"Like a Puma?" -Tucker :P
And I think argonians should be immune to werewolfness, the idea of a lizard man turning into a wolf man kinda freaks me out. I hear Darwin rolling over in his grave just thinking of it

I like the animation idea, somehow the text reading "your thirst for blood has been quenched" after you killed someone didnt do it for me. Id still like to see werewolf quests so its not just a hindrance in the sun like in OB. I liked how the vampire clans worked. A sense of brotherhood with your clan and warring against the other clans was cool. I think the option of being part of a "pack" or being a "lone wolf" would be cool with different pros and cons of both.

yes, though I must say I'm much more interested in how they'll do the vampires, or even if they're going to make vampirism playable. The volkihar are the skyrim vampire clan are they not? the ones that reach up through the ice of lakes to snatch their victims? I wonder how a player char would manage that?
As for werewolves, and vampires too i guess, I'd like there to be some sort of buff that you gain from feeding, particularly if you had an all out orgy of feeding. In oblivion I'd get caught up in the fun of things and bite like 10-15 people in a night, would be nice if i got a buff from that, would increase the tactical aspect of things too, if you knew you had a tough fight coming up you could feed on a bunch of villagers to boost your stats temporarily.
edit: oh and I hope they make it so that we can feed on animals too, always nice to roleplay the noble vampire/werewolf who refuses to harm humans.

I would be more interested in what being a werewolf does to you, and obviously you would only transform once a month. I would like them to make the vampire more advantagous, as the only thing that i remember is hating the fact that i couldnt go out in the day. I mean, like, give you massive boosts to certain stats.

For werewolves i would think that you would be more powerful in were-form, so maybe you could save certain quests until you transform?
